I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Hello! Has anyone else received an appointment confirmation without time/date? I’ve received both text and email stating confirmation without time/date. A glitch perhaps? View attachment 5904763View attachment 5904764
I would assume this was a technical error and that every single person that applied to the lottery received this same message which has happened a few times before.

I finally got her out to contribute to this thread. K25 in Vert Cliquet. And to think it all started with DH's lucky leather appointment through the online system earlier this year. We returned to Paris several weeks ago and met with the same awesome SA. The H gods have been very kind to me in 2023.
Congrats! Indeed sometimes all it takes is a lucky leather appointment through the lottery that is the beginning of a fruitful relationship

Does anyone know if it’s (relatively) easy to get a Kelly Depeche 25 in Paris? Was offered one here in the US but will be traveling to Paris in a couple months, so unsure if I should wait. The color offered is the Caban, which albeit isn’t my first choice (was hoping for bleu nuit) but still looks really pretty. Also, I heard that Hermes raises their prices typically early on in the year, so not sure how that would factor in. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Congrats on your offer. I would take the Caban KD25 at the current price and be very grateful.
A bird in the hand, so to speak. I think Caban is gorgeous and as versatile as bleu nuit.

Not sure if a lottery appt is needed for a KD25, but I would guess yes even for a men’s bag bc of the kelly moniker.
Lottery appointments are harder to obtain. And, stock may be a bit depleted in January from the holidays.

Perhaps others would know better, including another thread, here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/space-for-guys-their-hermes.377429/page-825 I am tagging @fonnas because he has a KD25, and might chime in. While items are usually less costly in Paris, a price increase could offset.

wanted to provide some more details about our lottery appointment. was in paris w my husband for 3 full days and flying back home now (sunday). we started applying for the lottery the day before our trip.
day 1 - no appointment. went to george v store to look around since it was right next to our hotel. no purchases made that day. my husband spoke to the leather area, he waited 15 minutes but they couldn’t get us in. we didn’t ask further, walked around the store a bit and then left.

day 2 - went back to george v as soon as they opened. bought my husband a scarf for our anniversary. bonded w the SA a bit as she helped teach both of us to tie our scarves. asked her for a leather appointment. she went to the leather desk, said we can get an appointment as long as it wasn’t for a kelly or birkin. we politely declined as to not waste anyone’s time. thanked her for checking and continued to chat as we checked out. she told us to check FSH before lunch as we might have better luck there. she also told us to keep applying.

went to FSH - super busy in there. husband tried to ask for a walk in which was declined. tons of people were asking and being aggressive. we wanted to enjoy the rest of the day so we left.

later that night - got the email for lottery appointment on husbands account. didn’t see the email until 9pm, it was sent at 8pm. basically hyperventilated with excitement for the next hour. I knew we were going to get a bag.

Day 3 - went to FSH for our visit around noon. scheduled for close to 1pm. the time kept changing. we were seated outside the leather area because it was so busy there. about 20 mins later SA came. She was nice, polite and professional. my only hope was that we wouldn’t get someone who doesn’t like to talk. I’m a talker. She was nice and professionally engaged. We spoke for about 10 mins about us, why we’re in paris. shared how we got introduced to hermes at FSH last year and celebrating anniversary this year. husband was engaged in convo too as it was his appointment. She asked for my requests. I asked for a pochette or birkin 25/30 in sellier and gave my color preferences. I wanted sellier and shared that a kelly sellier would be nice too.

She asked about other bags, I said no other bags. She took our drinks order. 20-30 mins later she came back and requested we move to a private area. No rooms available so we went back to womens RTW in a semi open area. She showed me a kelly 25 sellier in vert comics and a Della Cavalleria in matte croc or alligator? I don’t even remember at this point because i was already blacking out after trying on the kelly 25. Said yes to the kelly and politely declined the della.

my husband attempted to get her business card but she politely declined 😂. i’m happy that he at least tried. literally on cloud nine after this.

added a photo of the kelly here again for reference.

went downstairs to get a calvi duo. I purchased one in a blue - blanking on the name now. while checking out we realized i don’t even have an account in Paris so we purchased it under my name.

we love hermes but my goal for the trip was not to spend the entire day going from store to store. wanted to make sure we got to enjoy paris again.

Our only other purchase history in paris is last december 2022 - we bought 3 pairs of shoes over 3 days under my husbands account.

hope this helps

Sorry for the long story but I can’t believe it actually happened. DH and I got in early and couldn’t checkin yet so we dropped our bags and wearing sweats, no make-up and just off 8 HR plane ride decided to walk to FSH. It was early in the day,mid-week but still reasonably busy with a small line at the appt desk. I walked thru fine jewelry a couple times and almost left since the SAs seemed uninterested in helping. Since I wanted a certain ring (home store struggles w/FJ stock) I walked up to a SA and asked. She checked my size and brought the ring and another to try. I agreed to buy the ring and she asked if I wanted to look at anything else. I told her abt the prob I had applying for the appt and showed her the msg on my phone (btw cnnctng to local wifi does work I just hadn’t had a chance to try yet at that point). She aplgzd and askd wht I was looking for! I told her a KP w/ specs and 10 mins later she was back explaining no appts today but to come back the next day and gave me a time! I honestly thought it may not be real or I’d come back the next day and they’d turn me away. But the next day I left w/KP! Appt SA already knew what I wantd but did ask if she didn’t have one what else was I interested in and I feel was genuinely going to look for a B if there were no KPs. I also thought it was interesting they called it the KP “classic”. I had never heard it called that before but both SAs confirmed I wantd the “classic” and not the long which I believe is what they were calling the Kelly cut.
Congratulations! May I ask which ring did you buy? :)

Thanks for pro tips.

Brief visit @ Sèvres ~1630. Shown Mysore Calvi but not my colors or even close. Petit H keying in exotic tempting. Didn’t ask for appt or squeeze in 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Will try walk in prior to Boucheron @ 1100 @ FSH

No notice on appts, will raffle again tomorrow avec ma mère et mon père 🤞

I totally agree...if you have the offer now, 'carpe diem'. You never know how the Paris trip is going to play out.

Yes I can confirm for any bag, even simple mens bags in toile or backpacks or briefcases, you need a "leather" appointment to purchase...or special authorization from a supervisor.
