I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

One thing I noted was that there were quite a few people complaining of the same technical issue with the online lottery: they didn’t get the email to confirm the application (upon submitting the form), so their applications never even went in. On the one hand, this means those folks have a zero percent chance, since the system doesn’t even have their entries, but on the other hand, those that are lucky enough to get that email to confirm their applications now have a (marginally) better chance at getting an appt.

Not sure if this a temporary glitch, or if the system deliberately does this, so the “lottery” starts when you try to apply rather than when you’ve applied.

Stock-wise, SS24 RTW and home as well as SLGs seem plentiful, and bag offers were good.

Me too, anyone know what is going on or what to do about it? I thought it was not being in Paris yet but not the case

Sorry for the long story but I can’t believe it actually happened. DH and I got in early and couldn’t checkin yet so we dropped our bags and wearing sweats, no make-up and just off 8 HR plane ride decided to walk to FSH. It was early in the day,mid-week but still reasonably busy with a small line at the appt desk. I walked thru fine jewelry a couple times and almost left since the SAs seemed uninterested in helping. Since I wanted a certain ring (home store struggles w/FJ stock) I walked up to a SA and asked. She checked my size and brought the ring and another to try. I agreed to buy the ring and she asked if I wanted to look at anything else. I told her abt the prob I had applying for the appt and showed her the msg on my phone (btw cnnctng to local wifi does work I just hadn’t had a chance to try yet at that point). She aplgzd and askd wht I was looking for! I told her a KP w/ specs and 10 mins later she was back explaining no appts today but to come back the next day and gave me a time! I honestly thought it may not be real or I’d come back the next day and they’d turn me away. But the next day I left w/KP! Appt SA already knew what I wantd but did ask if she didn’t have one what else was I interested in and I feel was genuinely going to look for a B if there were no KPs. I also thought it was interesting they called it the KP “classic”. I had never heard it called that before but both SAs confirmed I wantd the “classic” and not the long which I believe is what they were calling the Kelly cut.

Thanks for this info. Is it true you now have to be in Paris to apply? I've read mixed things.

I don’t think physical locations matter. Those that were complaining said they had been in Paris for a few days and kept encountering the same issue every day. Conversely, while waiting for our SAs I talked to someone who got a lottery appt and he said he’d applied when he was still in his home country (just before boarding his flight).

I was having issues with the site earlier in the week in the US. In UK currently and able to request appts.

What’s funny is that Sèvres and George V are open Sunday for the holidays this weekend but the appointments I requested today (Saturday) are for Monday. FSH is doing same starting next weekend (10 Dec).

Fingers crossed this portends well for a wander past Sèvres tomorrow 🤞
