Thanks for pro tips.

Brief visit @ Sèvres ~1630. Shown Mysore Calvi but not my colors or even close. Petit H keying in exotic tempting. Didn’t ask for appt or squeeze in 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Will try walk in prior to Boucheron @ 1100 @ FSH

No notice on appts, will raffle again tomorrow avec ma mère et mon père 🤞
Mon 4 Dec 2023

Walk in @ FSH ~1130 = Scored the Calvi of my dreams! Chèvre Chamilka “Bleu Frida” ⚡️

Walked by George V ~1550 after museum, lunch, and Goyard, no appts available. I was very relaxed and SA told me “I love your vibe” as I didn’t assault anyone when they couldn’t accommodate me 😂

Staying near Sèvres, I walked ~1645 on way back to hotel to roll the dice... and they fit me in within 5-10m! 🤯

I was shown Picotin 22 Black PH + Picotin Pocket 18 Navy/Black PH. Said no to both as (1) I’m not looking for canvas and (2) my LV Alma BB Epi = Black PH.

I saw another SA showing Picotin 22 in (grey?) ostrich, but did not press further since that’s out of budget for me this trip, and I’d prefer a 22 touch with croc/gator > 22 ostrich.

I did score an SA who was VERY nice @ Sèvres and said he would help me next time I was in Paris, so that alone made visit = 100% winning 🏆

One more raffle left for tomorrow🤞new friend SA isn’t working Tuesday, but overall feel quite good about long term prospects!

Thank you again to all on this thread for tips!!!!! Y’all are darling and real ones ☝️

congrats on your dream Calvi, and scoring a walk-in appt., although they didn't have what you wanted.
your Sevres SA sounds familiar...wonder if it's the same SA I had a few months ago. :P

I totally agree...if you have the offer now, 'carpe diem'. You never know how the Paris trip is going to play out.

Yes I can confirm for any bag, even simple mens bags in toile or backpacks or briefcases, you need a "leather" appointment to purchase...or special authorization from a supervisor.
Thanks @FrenchNewbie for your input!

Given that my dream bag is a K32/35 in the Bleu Nuit - I went ahead and asked if they had the KD25 in lighter colors, and they had one in gold, so I think I’m going to pick that one up and then see if I get lucky in Paris! 😄

Hi All,
Does anyone know if the KD and the KP are considered quota bags in Paris?
Also, are they easier to score as compared to B/K?
Thanks!
KP is the hardest to get everywhere. KD is difficult, not due to demand but due to the fact that they aren’t currently in heavy production. Neither are quota bags in non exotic leathers but both will likely block you from getting another bag in the near term (weeks/months). KP in exotic leather is a quota bag.

In FSH today and saw many bags being offered (mostly exotic pieces). The queue at 10.30am was exceptionally long, probably double from what I have experienced in March. The stores are less crowded than before but appointment luck is still hard as ever. I already gave up asking for empty slots because I hate hearing the rejections and I don’t want to always sound desperate/pushy for bags :( I have good history in all 3 stores as I started my journey since 8-9 years back. I was offered multiple birkin and kelly before, but those were the pre pandemic days. I still continue to shop whenever I’m in FSH but unfortunately that doesn’t help to get me an appointment. I used to ask the SA from other departments to help, but she insisted that she cannot cross the line (she’s friendly and genuine) so I stopped asking.

I read that someone was able to get an appointment with a ring purchase, however I genuinely don’t recommend buying big ticket items just to try your appointment luck (unless you really want that item), I believe someone also shared here that even after purchasing leather jackets, one can still be rejected for appointment request. My SA commented that no matter how much I spend on her department, she cannot help me to request for an appointment because that will make her look bad (they have rules). We have heard of successful stories, but it’s not 100% hit rate. Just sharing!

Can anyone share when’s a good time to visit? And what’s the situation looks like during working days? Is it crowded and hard to get help from SAs still? I were there Sep and found myself in the market. And how’s the inventory look like for cloth/shoes?

Avoiding weekends (and even Friday afternoons) is definitely the way to go if you want a more relaxed experience. Sections such as RTW, silks, home, fashion accessories, fine jewellery and equestrian are usually not crowded and the SAs are most likely to be friendly and helpful (and not stressed out!). Shoes can be very busy and there might also be a virtual queue (just for shoes!).

I was in Paris last week and the SS24 RTW was already well stocked. Didn't check for shoes.

First time in Paris. Tried to apply for appt yesterday while still in Switzerland, had to be on WiFi for the page to be able to load. Today I’m in Paris - applied for an appt (also had to be on WiFi for the page to work) and never got the email to complete registration (but I did yesterday). This lottery system is so finicky it makes me appreciate maintaining my relationship with my local SA so much more.
