I've heard many people say stock is scant in Paris during the summer months because of an influx of tourists and the artisans' taking holiday and the chance of getting a bag is better in the fall, but can anyone who has actually gone at several different times of the year comment if this is really the case?

I have a good relationship with my SA at my home store but it's always been a dream of mine to get a bag at FSH. A few years ago, when I was just getting into H, I went to all three Paris stores (including FSH with appointment, twice!) in August and asked for a B/K - was told no at all of them. For the second FSH appointments, my assigned SA didn't even offer me any alternative bag at all - she told me there was absolutely zero stock and that I could look in the display cases for something to buy! If the covid situation permits, I'm thinking about taking a brief trip to Paris in the fall and taking another stab at it, but I don't know if it will turn out any better than my previous attempt :P

I asked my FSH SA for a couple of bags but she advised to come back in October since stock levels are currently very low. They had plenty of exotics if that's your thing but didn't have many classic styles or colours available.

Do you know if any of the exotics were B/K/Cs? I'm looking for an exotic Kelly Pochette and will be going to Paris in September

I applied twice without any luck so went in to check with them at FHS. At first they seemed busy but was able to squeeze me in. Asked for a pink Kelly in gold hardware but they only had a pink Kelly 28 with palladium hardware so they offered me that and another brown (don’t remember the name exactly) Kelly 28 with gold hardware.
Last year Aug I got a black Kelly danse and a Birkin 25 in an shade of blue.
would say Aug isn’t an bad month like most people thought

OMG a pink Kelly is my dream bag! Do you mind sharing what exact shade of pink they offered you? And did you end up taking it? So curious, LOL :girlsigh: :love:

Did they ask you to spend €500 to see the bag? That’s what they told me so I wasn’t even able to look at it even after I told the SA that I will spend €500

No, not at all. I went in looking for a wallet, which they didn’t have in stock, so then I asked to see if they had any Evelynes. She went back in to the stock room & returned with good news. So I’m sorry, you said you‘d spend 500 and they still wouldn’t show it to you? Wow, that’s not good.

Ah I see, yes that’s what the SA told me that I have to spend €500 first to see the bag I was like what the hell? So I went to chanel and spend my money there instead I was very disappointed because I couldn’t get an appointment while I was there for a week but congrats on your bag!

Oh my, that’s disappointing to hear. Makes you wonder if these SA’s make up their own rules as they go along. I don’t blame you for walking. Hope you found something good at Chanel.

I know!!! She said that was the policy and inside my mind never heard of that kind of policy ever…. yes I got new mini handle and card wallets! Hopefully next time I can score some Hermes bag!
