I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Unbelievably, I received that appointment on my first try and of course I missed it due to my flight change. I’ve been here since Saturday and have tried again every day and have had no luck And I leave on Friday. Chances of getting an appointment online seem pretty slim and I squandered my one chance. Good luck to you!

Oh... feel bad for you!
So how many more days can you stay?
Wondering if you can explain to the host and see if they can do sth for you....
Thanks for ur reply and good luck to u!

thanks!
I just wanna know if there is a trend...
But wow 13 times! Can’t believe it!!!!! Spent more than 2 weeks in Paris for a chance......
From what I understand she didn’t select a favorite boutique, she was trying for the three.
I do believe they is no rules. The past 10 days I did try 4 fails got my 5th today but it’s okay. I want my appointment in beginning of september. I think the system « keep » your number for a month.
I wouldn’t recommend to try more then 3/4 times.
Some peoples have it on the first,second..

2019 got it on my 4 attempts, June 2021 4 no and know 5 no. If you are they for a very short time you have nothing to lost by trying 3/4 times before being in Paris.

On Monday, I received confirmation that my appointment is Wednesday at 3:30 aka today!

My usual SA is out on maternity leave so my expectations were fairly low. Having to connect with a new SA is very nerve-racking, even more so in the month of August when b/k stock is low.

In terms of shoes, RTW, and jewelry, everything I wanted was sold out. As for bags… let’s just say I’m very happy.

Does anyone know if you can split purchases on one visit? Either:
1. Asking the store to process items separately (for customs/duties purposes) so that receipts are separate; or
2. Asking the store to split a large purchase down the middle on to 2 cards (for hiding-from-spouse purposes)

I know you can split on cards because I’ve done that. Not sure about tue customs. I guess it can be different transactions

I split my purchase yesterday. If the order sum is over a certain amount (I think €2-3k), you can’t pay with cash + card. It’s either all card or all cash.

I’m actually leaving in the morning and was not able to get an appointment the entire week, but I was able to score a mini Evelyne in black from the Strasbourg store so one tiny victory.

Happy to report that I scored a Constance 18 in black swift leather and a black Mini Lindy at Faubourg.

My advice to anyone else not getting an appointment is to connect with an SA at the store in a non-leather department and to kindly ask them for an appointment. It is worth returning to the store a few times as well.
I second that as I was in the same boat. Couldn’t get an appt online on all week since last Friday so yesterday popped into the mothership and connected with my lovely SA who’s now in accessories and not leather goods where she was previously for several years. She tried to speak to the leather hostess but didn’t get far and was told best for me to use online. My SA said to come back later after lunch to see what she could do. I asked for Birkin 35 or Kelly 28 and Picotin 22, and she found a bicolor Picotin in blues for which I was delighted . Initially she looked in her app and only saw the black Picotin which I wasn’t thrilled with but after lunch she found something else. I’ve worked with the same woman each time I’m in Paris. She doesn’t do email but she’s always reachable at the store, at least for me during the last several visits. She’s offered me 2 Birkins in the past but since she’s been out of the leather goods loop she wasn’t as clued in this time re B/K inventory.

I feel for the young lady leather hostess who’s like an air traffic controller during rush hour. Not an easy job and she was constantly bombarded with interruptions and demands while trying not to lose it. Before the hostess used to be on the second floor, an area which felt more spacious and gracious, now she’s on the ground floor, not even at a counter, more like a standup market stall where ppl just hovered. Yikes!

I split my Kelly on two cards when I bought it in Paris. For the VAT form, they ask you which card you want the refund to go on.

I’ve already asked to do separate receipts for custom purposes… not paying customs for small little items. My SA understood and we did one receipt with bag+twilly with the VAT refund form and one receipt with no VAT refund form.
