When I was in Paris in 2019 I asked about shipping a bag overseas (to my address) and the SA conveyed an attitude of we really don't want to do that. Later I found that H can courier the bag to my hotel which was at least partially helpful.
I guess you purchased your bag at the store in person? They do prefer that. (We always choose to stay near FSH so I can carry my things back in the white paper bags automatically given to me by my SA. Have seen piles of Orange bags delivered and then left unattended at the entrance of the Mandarin Oriental, which makes me rather worried.). I think the question now is whether FSH is currently doing a charge send of quota bags for those of us who prefer not to travel just yet and are shopping remotely.

My friend purchased a Kelly and an evelyne earlier this month in Lille and asked to ship overseas.
They somehow messed up with the VAT refund and now she cannot claim for it :annoyed: (they gave her the usual tax refund form and showed it to the custom officers in CDG and they said they cannot process if they don’t see the bags… which were shipped…)

Does anyone know if it’s possible to cancel or change an appointment? I was lucky enough to get an appointment for tomorrow. My flight was scheduled to arrive in the morning but there’s been a reschedule and I won’t arrive until well after the appointment time. I highly doubt they’d allow me to reschedule for Monday (as they’re closed Sunday) but I’d rather just cancel altogether so they don’t think I stood them up, potentially ruining any further chances of future appointment. Aagghh I’m ready to cry :annoyed:

May I ask how many times have you try in order to get the appointment please?
I only have 4 days in Paris so I am a bit worried. TIA!!!

Yes, we went to Paris in the spring and fall of 2019. I had never been to Paris before. I thought I was a little nuts suggesting to go again in the fall but in retrospect, it was a good thing to do. We wanted to look at museums and the courier service from H was fine. The hotel locked the bag away.

I don't know whether FSH would do a charge send, to me, it kinda eliminates the mystique of visiting FSH in hopes of getting a bag. Have you heard they're interested in accommodating remote sales? Anything can happen with H.

The last sentence sounds familiar. I think there are signs saying that in CDG. It'd be nice if H informed your friend. That VAT refund is nothing to sneeze at.

They is no rule. Just watch a video from a French woman how had tried 13 times end up going on a Saturday was told to go back during the week. She did and was treated terrible, pretending she was like lying. Went to Sèvres he did confirm the 13 attempts got an appointment and a bag.
FSH has an issue the way they treat local.

My friend did charge send on quota bags all of last year. She also did her SO remotely. I think they’re changing it this month where you have to come in person cus “Covid is ending”.

Unbelievably, I received that appointment on my first try and of course I missed it due to my flight change. I’ve been here since Saturday and have tried again every day and have had no luck And I leave on Friday. Chances of getting an appointment online seem pretty slim and I squandered my one chance. Good luck to you!

Interesting. So you didn't have to apply for an appointment since you were not in Paris, right? Just called and talked to the SA?

I'm not that sure Covid is ending, it seems like it's morphing into different variants each year, which require a booster shot. If that's right then then Covid will become a really nasty annual "flu." I can imagine H and other merchants saying, enough already, let's move on.

Her and I are both in Paris now. But yes, we didn’t have to make an appt via lottery system cus we both have a SA at fsh

Sounds like another instance where depending on the client and the relationship with the store the policies are different.

Glad you were able to get an appt with your SA! I saw you had applied on your IG story but did not get one on the first try.

I’m headed to Paris next month for a trip that was rescheduled due to COVID, however it’s feeling in a similar spot to how it was going then but I digress…

I was able to get an appt a different way. It’s in an hour! Just for fun, I’ve still been applying everyday. For research purposes, I’ve been using 2 passports for the past 3 days and they have all been rejected.

On Monday, I received confirmation that my appointment is Wednesday at 3:30 aka today!

My usual SA is out on maternity leave so my expectations were fairly low. Having to connect with a new SA is very nerve-racking, even more so in the month of August when b/k stock is low.

In terms of shoes, RTW, and jewelry, everything I wanted was sold out. As for bags… let’s just say I’m very happy.
