My question is when I arrive in Paris, if I want to buy some smaller items on my wishlist (SLG, scarves) and ask about a leather appointment, should I focus on George V or is the "home store" not as significant as would be in the US?

Lastly, are quota bag offers uncommon at George V - just from reading older posts it sounds like inventory/luck is greater at FSH?

I shop at George V and it seems that there are quota bags offered there (on both tpf and Reddit). For sure they are less popular than the other 2 stores, so success stories may be biased (and that the probability to score a bag may not be less than at other stores).
SAs there work across departments and my there told me she has several regular clients both locals and tourists. So, IMHO if you want to find an SA to build a long term relationship, it may be easier to connect in George V than FSH. At the same time, it depends on what you are looking for: for special bags I would go to FSH: I heard that they don’t have the fontsbelle bag that @Bdbunny got at FSH
