I believe your profile is driven off your home address and name. So they should be able too look you up that way.

So how would they know when you are making the appointment online? I’m sure they hand select each entry and not randomized like they said. I’m just curious because it’s only asking for name, phone, email, passport number and not home address when you register for an appointment.

I think the online is random and not based on profile, so I don’t think it matters. Whenever I have shopped in Paris I am always asked for name and adddress to pull up my file - not passport. So that is why I think they use those identifiers mainly. Understanding those can change. Just my own experience and opinion.

I agree. I have been here in Paris for 4 days and denied appointments on line x 2 with DH. I have a strong purchase history here but that did not affect all the rejections on this trip. Maybe next time

Hello ladies, I have a question that I hope someone can kindly help to answer☺️I’m going back to Paris this year again and I plan to reach out to my SA at FSH who was super kind and helpful last time during my visit (she helped me to score a B30 and I wanna maintain a good relationship with her by probably making more purchases this time). However I’m not sure if I can just email her - the card she gave me has her name on it but email address on the other hand is a general email address (it looks like the store’s email). Should I just put her name in my email subject? How can I make sure she gets my email?

Yes. Just put "À l'intention de Madeleine Baguette." Your SA should be able to access the email.

Hi ladies, i am travelling to Paris soon and just wondering if can I use an international number to register for an appointment?? do I need a french sim card? also will be arriving on a sunday which means I will have to wait for monday to try my luck with the phone app, is this correct?? would you use the plane's wifi to try to get an appointment for monday ( since i'll be flying on saturday? :) please help me anyone...first time to paris :)
any recommended hotels? Is Sofitel Faubourg the best ( reasonable price and close to all the shops? )

May I ask which city/country are you departing from for Paris? Will you be on the plane already when the appointment registration opens on Saturday (for Monday)?. If that is the case, either use the plane’s wifi or you could always ask a family member or friend who is not travelling with you to help you register while you are on the plane. You just need to give them some info like your full name, passport number, phone number and email address. Some members here have shared that they even registered a couple times before going on their trip to get the “rejections” out of the way as majority reported that they did not successfully get an appointment until 4th try or more (2nd try for DH and 4th try for me last trip). I truly believe appointments are assigned at random so there may be a risk of getting one first try though if you do this..

From my experience it does not matter which phone number you use as an email notifying you of a un/successful appointment will be sent to the email address you provided as well as the phone number. However, the phone number is important if you have secured an appointment as they send you texts on the day if your appointment is moved earlier or later. Hope this helps and have a wonderful time in Paris! :)

From my experience, you might not get the text message even if you have WiFi access. That happened to 2 of my friends. I turned on mine and my husband data while in France and received the text messages just fine.

I am not sure if this is true. But I heard, that they can see, if you are in France while registrating for an appointment. And if you are not, you will not get one. You can have a foreign phone number, but you have to be in France. Can someone confirm this? Did someone ever get an appointment while registrating in a different country then France?

Last February, two of my friends applied for appointments before they took flights in their country. They landed in Paris on the next morning. Luckily, they got the appointments on their first tries!!

Though chances to get one are much harder now, I will not apply for an appointment beforehand. According to previous posts, it seems that they clear online registering data after a month. It will be the worst case that if you register before your journey started and get an appointment that you cannot attend. When you are actually there, you may not be able to get a new one during your journey in Paris because of the setting of clearing data period.

I can also confirm that I applied while being in Germany and received an appointment at 5th try for last Saturday. Plus I was successful in scoring a B35 Togo noir GHW. The four unsuccessful tries were all done during a business visit to Paris 2 weeks before so finally I drove 1,200 km just for my appointment at FSH (all flights gone as the text message came the evening before) and the possibility of maybe being offered a bag. A bit crazy but totally worth it. I am still over the moon :)

Now THAT'S the type of "eye on the prize" we can all admire. Crazy? Not even close! THRILLED you were successful, and for a wonderful classic bag.
