Is it possible to try to shop at H as a foreigner and not show your passport? I mean, I thought the purpose of the passport was just for the VAT refund. But what if you told them you don't need the VAT refund? Wondering if that plan be able to get you many B/K in a year?

You must enter your passport info in order to register for the leather appointment, and as a rule, if offered a bag the name on the appointment/passport must match the name on the payment method.

Guys anyonr has ever been lucky with a monday 4:20 pm appointment?

I was lucky at with my 4:30pm appointment but my SA wasnt ready until 5:15pm or so.... I ended up being there until 7:15pm when i walked out the door...... So APP TIME is not a problem, go and enjoy the store until is your time to be served!
Good luck!

Of course, buying the bag was not the purpose of the trip, but would be nice to get it while I was here)
Sorry to hear you were not successful, may luck be on your side next time!

DH and I each got an appointment last September but also told no B/K/C. It being my first ever visit at FSH and having read tips from this thread (though helpful and informative) actually made me super nervous whilst there.

We are returning to Paris this year around the same time and I will try again but this time I’m more realistic in my expectations and will not be so stressed out about what to say to the SA to increase my chances of being offered a bag. They either offer one if they have stock or don’t, there will always be a next time :)

Good luck for your appointment at FSH.
The other smiling customers might as well not being offered any quota bag. I saw people went into fitting room when I was waiting for my turn there, but then sometimes including myself was shown to fitting room to view some none quota bags. Judging by the box there were many none quota bags being offered.

Went at 10:40 and waited 3.5 hours at Sevres. Asked for a B/K and was offered neither...I think I prefer the FSH way where they let me down after 5-20 min!

A bit sad to say that I did not get a bag on my appointment today. Reading all the success stories lately brought my hope high.. I saw a B25 in lime was being offered to a customer. And then the same SA went to serve another customer but she decided she did not want to sell a bag to the next customer.

Came my turn, i was served by a nice SA lady whose name has been mentioned on this thread before (although that TPFer was also not being offered a quota bag by her). Although this SA was nice but she did not even bother to write down my preferences on paper, nor serving me drinks.
I am not sure why she did not want to sell me a bag.. Do I look like a reseller to them just because I went on my own?
Will try other stores tomorrow. Wish me luck

Good luck to you!!!

I understand the feeling of knowing others being offered a bag but myself wasn’t! Someone kindly told me in this thread last year that — don’t feel that you were not ‘selected’. It’s NOT true.

At the end of the day, there were far more weren’t offered a quota bag than those who were, even at FSH.

Being a first time customer with zero shopping history means you have to be 1) extremely lucky that you got an appointment. 2) extremely lucky to have a SA ready to sell you a bag. 3)extremely lucky that the color/ leather / hardware of your choice is akin to their inventory of the day.

A bit sad to say that I did not get a bag on my appointment today. My anniversary is coming up this month and since my DH is very busy I insisted to go on my own to Paris in order to score a B/K. 1) the next customer of the other SA could have asked sth else not available at all.
2) your SA might have went through your choices on her phone. - last year the SA who offered me a quota bag was running to the storage after she heard my preference. She was running to get it before others bagged it. I wasn’t aware of that and thought that she was not interested in selling me a bag and wasn’t interesting in gossip with me... damn, should have bought more items from her to thank her hard work. The chance of meeting her again for me is slim but only now I know how lucky I was.

3) our feeling of an unsuccessful appointment might not reflect the ‘why’ so pls try to go do sth else which will make you feel better. Ie. eat some chocolate if it helps.
