Still travelling so here is a quick summarise of my trip, ok not that short but sorry about the typos as I am in a hurry.

A brief history:

My FSH journey started from last summer, unfortunately being a long term fan of H I spent most of my purchase at the CDG airport duty free due to always have other priorities in town so I didn’t have any purchase history in France with my passport, neither did my DH. I was very upset not getting quota bag and actually heard one forum member was offered in the afternoon after me. — so you can see how grumpy I was last year. I got a very functional none quota bag,and it’s very useful and practical bag indeed for me.

Receiving many good advise from here afterwards, I can’t say thank you enough for those who encourage me to try again as I return to Europe quite often. At the same time there were people being sarcastic and saying if I were you I will not spend such and such but will go to bla bla bla instead. — trying to push me to another route, well to me I know it will not be the only bag I will be buying so that alternative route will end up so NOT worth it — I am not the person who only wants one bag ONLY but nothing else from H, have a long history of other items and there will be more coming— I rather spend my €€€ on the items in the boutique looking for what I want and will be using, aside from quota bags.

And it’s interesting to see that one of my favourite colour from last year was on display and possibly I can buy it straight this year-( yes I know some of you will say I can’t- but I am sorry, for that one yes I know I can from last year. )/ but you know what? Time changed and I have moved on to another colour- so the alternative route wouldn’t work for me at all— there isn’t anything is the only bag I want in terms of colour, leather, hardware.

So, I guess to give girls a realistic expression of this journey, I wish more girls will post their unsuccessful experience - so that others won’t be hoping too much after hearing all those positive stories, right?

To sum up I have two positive stories here and one that not that successful:

So I travelled to France for Christmas - and guess what? I got a quota bag too! To us esp my DH who were not keen on this shopping but enjoy quite a good variety of the goods, he was indifferent if I got a bag or not - but he thinks and tells me — oh come on, we are their customer and they will see from the shopping record and from conversation if they want to ‘tests’ anything. he doesn’t believe we won’t be getting a bag at all! And he was very right!

Now, finally back to this year’s experience:

by the way previous times we only got one appointment — that was because - DH always got his ahead of me and - we weren’t typically hung around Paris for a bag and move on to other places after the schedule time, we will always travel back and there is always next time for us.

So to my surprise I got my appointment after 4 applications. Before my DH this time!
The only small detail I will share again is — if you are going to fine dining restaurant, best not to book it for lunch time - as the lunch time appointment might lead to a conflict with dining time. This luncheon thing delayed our appointment last year and shorten the fine dining experience this year. If we have a few more days to hung around we will pick dinning too, if only it was available though!

Back to the date of my appointment- compared to last year I can see this SA was the most experience of them all, straight to the topic of what I wanted but small and smooth conversation to verify if we were just using ‘ tactics’ etc. The conversation was actually helping her to pick a bag that I love. She told me straight at the begging there was no B/K 25, no B 30 either. My visit was after others reporting scoring their B30s —as if the bags were starting being reserved for celebrity and VIPs for their walk in, it’s Paris Haute Couture alter all.
I have expected and accepted shortage of bags before I booked my appointment too.
To our surprise it didn’t take as long as previous times for her to return — and she was carrying a huge box — I immediately know it must be a B35! She smiled and lead us to a quiet corner, show me a corner of the colour and I was almost jumping - gosh this is the colour I wanted most from last season and I thought the colour will not continue soon due starting of new season. It was totally unexpected and after I tried it on - the size was not a problem as it wasn’t a bright and pop colour plus it matched my height.
So it was a blue encre! Another member have posted identical photo filmed in a much better way, a few pages back - go check out the colour if you are new to H Colors.

There was no doubt I would take it and the SA was super good at picking twilly too! She first picked items I already own and love, then she noticed items she presented to me didn’t make my heart sing, so she looked hard from the drawer and finally got one which excited me!

In the end I thought this SA was not only the most experience of all my past shopping, but I was also lucky that we had the click at the beginning - we didn’t use tactic to charm her etc ( which I read from last year and either it worked with some SA or they are just lucky there was inventory and the SA decided to sell them the bag they requested.)

Amazing story!! So happy you stuck to exactly what you wanted and it delivered in the end!!!
Lurker here - just wanted to post a quick recap of my own experience at FSH! By way of quick background, I visit Paris fairly regularly for a few days once every other month or so but don’t usually carve out time to go shopping and have fairly limited purchase history in Europe. Recently, I decided to bite the bullet and brave the new system (my last visit to FSH was right before the transition from the line up debacle to the current appointment system). Secured an appointment for mid-afternoon on my arrival date. Given flight delays, arrived straight from the airport (and looking like it too!) and was paired with an absolutely lovely SA after a quick browse through RTW after check-in. She asked me what I was looking for and I gave her very specific specs - B35 Togo Gris Asphalte PHW. She asked if I would entertain other neutrals and I said I would consider but was fairly set on that specific combination. She said she would do her best and went off to look. About ~10-15min elapsed and I was starting to get antsy and she reappeared with a large orange box! She wouldn’t tell me what she had found precisely, only that it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but led us to find a secluded spot. She finally unboxed it and it was a lovely B35 in Raisin PHW. Beautiful bag - tried it on - but not what I had in mind. The SA noted that she could tell that I wasn’t in love and urged me not to take a bag if I wasn’t 100% committed. I politely declined and asked if she had any bags at all in GA. She went off to look through the stock again and came back with another box - B35 in Etain GHW. I was sorely tempted now since this was probably my HG bag 2 years ago but it has since become a bit too dark for my taste. She encouraged me to try it on and think on it but she could tell I wasn’t 100% sold. Ultimately I declined again and she was super understanding, reiterating her stance that it should be perfect. The SA does tell me to try again - GA isn’t in season right down as it was a winter color but she does remember seeing some bags pop up in the past few months. At this point, I felt pretty insane to have turned down two Bs and headed over to SLGs to pick up a wallet. The story continues, however...

Fast forward a week and I’m back in Paris for my return flight after some travel during the week and I decide to give it another shot. I don’t have an appointment because of Haute Couture week but drop by the store around opening to see if I can squeeze myself in. As I’m queuing up, I overhear a (rather overdressed) man arguing with the hostesses, demanding to speak to their manager etc. They are being patient but it’s clearly straining their patience - no, sir, there are no appointments left; it’s Fashion Week; you can try for Monday. I nearly cave and walk off just out of sheer anticipated embarrassment (similar to my last appt, I’m not exactly dressed up) but end up sticking it out and sheepishly asking if there have been any cancellations. To my absolute surprise, they offer me a slot in ~30min. After milling around the store for a bit, I’m introduced to a new SA who leads me up to a station on the second floor. She asks what I’m looking for and again I give her my specs but emphasize that I am not looking for anything else. She takes note and comments that “you never know” and disappears for ~15min. When she comes back, I start feeling a bit lucky as she is carrying a large box and absolutely bubbling over with excitement! She sets them down on the table and notes that she needs to find a room but! she tilts the box slightly so that I can see the label. Gris Asphalte!! She ushers me into a room and unboxes it saying that she was able to get everything on my wishlist except the hardware. As it turns out, it’s Permabrass which is even better than the PHW on my wishlist as it’s silvery but with gold tones to bring out the warmth in the grey leather. I try it on but it’s a foregone conclusion - there is no decision to be made here. As I’m admiring the bag, she makes a comment that it was actually super helpful that I wanted such specific specs. Apparently when they are grabbing stock from inventory, it’s helpful to be able to argue that your client wants a specific color if another SA is also looking to grab the same bag. She also offers me a Fourbi which I accepted, more out of sheer shock than anything else. As she’s reboxing the bag, I notice the heat stamp looks off - it’s an HSS! I ask her if this is a SO that was rejected by another client and she actually noted that some craftsmen will choose to make SOs if the leather quality is there and they want to make something slightly diff. (My one point of confusion is that afterwards I’ve been reading up on SOs and it sounds like they only horseshoe stamp the bicolors? Not sure how my particular B came into existence then)

Overall, amazing experience at FSH on both days and the SAs were both absolutely lovely. Couldn’t have asked for anything different.

Realize this all sounds like a crazy lucky trip but I’m sitting here still in mild shock a few days later. Not sure that this is very helpful in terms of tactics as I didn’t feel comfortable utilizing any (and I was dressed pretty low key as well) but just wanted to share my story.

We continue our travel with the huge orange box - then the box can’t be posted as it was bigger than the post office’s largest box.

Due to various factors our original holiday plan changed which lead to only one night in Paris for our last day in France, which was a bummer as my shopping list was too long at my appointment, so I didn’t mention my Constance list in order not to mess up the mind of SA for the priority of my wishing list.

Plan changes and of course my DH didn’t get his appointment. We tried Sevré and it was not a successful story - same as last year that I didn’t get my bag on my wish list.

Even I read two recent successful stories at Sevré so far - I can tell the chance of getting it there can’t compare to FSH — I am still under the impression it’s a local boutique targets at local clients mainly, you will either have to be super lucky to get exactly what you asked for, or maybe drop some big $$$ there to find a bag. However, you never know and never say never!

To sum up, I learnt from my experience and a few cents I would like to make:

1) I agree with others on this forum — the inventory and assigned SA was the key!

2) depends on your SA, some people are more experience to deal with people and tell who are the real customers, who are resellers, others not as good and do judge the book from the surface. Sometimes they do mistaken ordinary buyers as resellers and resellers as ordinary people. — however no need to dress up out of your usual league/ comfort zone and just be yourself. I witnessed people dressed neat every time at FSH and especially those with good manners, from the size and numbers of boxes they were carrying, how keen the SA was there - I can tell there is a ‘ type’ and those are the clients a lot of SA wants to sell goods to. Manner is a long term habit and you won’t be changing it over night. Sometimes depends on how native your French / English was, its always easier to sound polite/ well manner when you are native; Some times the age matters ; but there are always the kind SA / butlers keen to serve, given it at Hermes or a 7 star resort in a tropical world, and how deep of your pocket is not the only deciding factor.

3)Don’t be overly excited if people from this forum scored a lot, don’t be upset if you didn’t get your ideal bag, everyone has her/ his own experience and the assigned SA decides partly the fate too.

4) same as some earlier posts, unless you are super good at convince people, ( sorry I hesitate to use the word starts with L here.) or super lucky - otherwise the chance of getting same day appointment at FSH by asking the receptionist is rare. I can see how exhausted they were, dealed with people with various reasons/ excuses. I wouldn’t be surprise at all due to the tactics being discussed etc , the SA and receptionist are also reading here and unfortunately, sometimes they might mistake a good intention into - aha, another one, not again! I can see some of them are tired of ‘ stories’ akin to people work for luxurious hotels front desk when they have to deal with clients asking for extra ‘perks’ with different version of stories.

To sum up, be yourself and good luck!

There is no way you won’t be getting a quota bag if you know clearly that you are their target client anyway. For those like myself who didn’t get it at your first attempt but believe you are their target client, don’t worry or think too much about it — you might be just unlucky to be assigned with a SA who isn’t experience énough or they just didn’t have what you asked for that on that particular day.

Funny enough the bag I heard people turned down on the same day as my appointment, I thought I would have taken it, last year, if I was given the choice — but I am now given a better option and the colour only came to the market since end of year — everything happen for a good couse, isn’t it?

5) if you are their target client, whether you will get a very spec bag or not, sometimes it depends on if it’s a good / bad year for H or not.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks a lot for your update, I think it’s more normal to not get a bag at FSH than luckily getting an ideal or even two.

For me I understand the feeling and it happened to me last year. If you have a chance to return, you can always try another time, good luck!

My mom got appointment this morning and was told no BKC, only herbag in orange or blue

Thank you! Last year was the same situation.
In past I got offered bags during winter/spring time, due to not so many visitors in town in those seasons.
