I am not sure if this is true. But I heard, that they can see, if you are in France while registrating for an appointment. And if you are not, you will not get one. You can have a foreign phone number, but you have to be in France. Can someone confirm this? Did someone ever get an appointment while registrating in a different country then France?
I used four passports (both my bf and I are dual citizens) when doing it online in the US. Successfully got 3 appts.

Got offered a Hermes picotin ostrich after 3 attempts at an appointment but turned it down- it just didn’t make my heart sing unfortunately
I was s bit unsure about Twins at first.. but the fact that you can take it apart, wear it different ways (8, 9 different ways?) i thought - why not... sorry the picotin didnt make your heart sing...
