Plenty of threads on quota bags, including in different country's variables.

Are exotic Kelly Pochettes considered quota bags, and can one SO a KP?
and is ombre lizard exclusive to VVIPs?

Also, in general, does the store prefer a lump of big purchases at once or spread across?
I only get what I love, but sometimes instead of ordering one-off items I purchase them with other things ex: instead of getting 2 twillys, I'll wait until a particular SLG is available and I'll get them all at the same time; perhaps with other items.

Thanks for the informative thread!

"Could I be considered for a special order?"

This is the question I dream of asking but I have no idea if my profile and/or relationship with my SA is strong enough. If she were to answer no, then I'd be really disappointed and be worried our relationship would become awkward. Each time I'd see her, she'd know I'm interested in a SO and that she can't make it happen.

Don’t be scared.

The worst they can say is “no”. Even that, I don’t think that would tarnish your relationship.

The next time you’re in the store, especially if you’re gathering items to purchase, say to your SA “I realize you have a ton of clients, but if an SO slot becomes available the next round or so, can you let me know? I would be very interested.”

This is how I have received 6 SO offers. Just ask. Politely, of course. They can’t read your mind, so it’s good to communicate.

Good luck!

This may be a dumb question, I am aware that through SO you can have like bicolour, tricolour Birkins and so on but let's say you would like to request a B30 in Bleu nuit, gold hardware, would this still be a SO as well? It's no different than putting this on a regular wishlist though...?

No tricolor option anymore

You can do what you’ve suggested but would at least need to choose a different color interior or contrast stitching. If this does not interest you, then I would just put yourself on the “regular wishlist” for BN w/ GHW.

Ah I see, I did not know you can choose a different interior colour. If you do manage to get a SO, I do know that this may take like a year to arrive, but am I right in understanding that it will arrive eventually? With the wishlist, it seems for the vast majority of people, it just expires and you have to do it again.

Verso — one color exterior, one color interior

The verso is one of the general options you can choose for a B or K.

SOs usually arrive.....it’s just a matter of when. It can takes months. It can take years.

Not aware of “expired” wishlists. For example, I have been waiting on a VdG B30 since 2016. My SA is aware. May or may not ever come..... I wouldn’t qualify that has “expired” though.

It’s a UK wishlist system terminology.

Thank you for your explanation. vert de gris is such a lovely colour, I think I'll try brining up SO next time I see my SA. Can't ever know until you ask xxx

How do they “allocate” quota bags? For example customer A, B and C all request for the same bag with same(ish) specs... their total spend is the same but customer A has been a customer for 4 years, customer B, for a year and customer C for 3 months. How would the SM allocate the bag and which customer will get it? Would it be based on the customer’s SA?

When allocating they’ll bring up the profile(s) to be considered. Normally they’ll not have more than one profile for the same bag (if multiples are available) but rather for different ones. But to answer your question, it is highly likely that the person with the oldest/longest spend history will be allocated that bag.

Ultimately it will be up the SA since they’re the ones petitioning for you. I guess you can say the impression you leave on someone with will help you out.

Anything without a price tag basically... for B n K I roughly have a ball park figure but sometime still wish to know beforehand but mostly I just know when I need to sign my credit card

Don’t be shy at all! You can always start by asking your SA when you start shopping with them and go from there. Remember your starting point of about $9800 for a b25 and add $1000 for every size up.

I am sure that the average SA has heard these questions multiple times. It’s their job to answer questions and it is easier
and more pleasant for them to have clients who are enthusiastic and eager to learn about the brand. When I shop, especially for multiple things across departments, my SA is fine to give me all info, including prices. It’s also valuable feedback for them to have, in order to tailor what they present to you, if they know you are okay with spending X on Y item but not that amount on Z item. Or, in other words, if you think Z is overpriced and would rather look at Y for the money. That‘s part of the shopping decision; feedback ; product selection; and, part of their job.
