Today I visited both stores.
Sa who gave me this baby girl picotin was quite busy. I visited her to purchase some balcon du guadalquivir for out new apartment in paris.

Then we came to FSH to collect my scarf order but here as well my sa was super busy. Even I couldn’t see her.

For both stores I told I will visit tomorrow and left. 🥺

Unfortunately my sa at serves told me come at 3 pm. Is it officially appointment? 😂 may I use his opportunity to ask having another appointment for leather?
I don’t see this as a loss but a win! You’ve been given another opportunity so take it and see what happens!

That would depend on if there’s a cancellation or opening when you get there otherwise it’s increasingly difficult for some SAs to book leather appointments. Good luck x

This would just be my personal experiences at FSH.
My SA has in the past, advised another good friend to not bring a friend during her visit, as the appointment given is solely for her, as are the bag offers and payment has to be using her card as well. Exceptions are family members, mainly spouse/ children. I think it was because he is very kind and sensitive to offering his customer items which he cannot also offer to someone else present, who is not his client.
I have arranged for appointments for friends, by asking my SAs prior and then following their instructions. I must stress that this was before Covid, while things were not as challenging as they are now.
I did not attend those appointments and was very happy everything went very well. I sent my SA my thanks via email later and advised my friend to take it on from there directly with our SA, on her own new account.
I would personally not buy a bag for anyone else, DH has his own account and wouldn't let me anyway. None of my extended family have asked this of me and if they did I would again contact my SA and see what they think. These are just guidelines and everyone should make their own decisions accordingly.
Hope this helps! 👌🏼

My most recent experience as both myself and my wife have our own accounts in FSH. During our leather walk in appt, the leather sa who we happen to be assigned last year as well, first went thru my profile and then she asked to have a look at my wife’s profile before we discussed about what bag I wanted to get for her. Both of us were present together. I also got to discover, they have a reason not to offer bags if they wish to as we had the same address (obviously), as my wife gotten 2 bags via an earlier walk in (few days earlier) with another SA.

During my lottery appointment at FSH a so-called friend (I barely know this person, she’s my DH’s client at work, but we were traveling together) wanted to come along (she did apply for a lottery too, but wasn’t successful) but I preferred to go with my DH instead. I wonder if that gave me a better chances at scoring a quota bag (B35)

For context I had really low prespend history (under 1k€, just cosmetics and a silk scarf I got in the years prior in Italy) and the SA checked my profile before his offer, asking to confirm the address.

I don’t think I would have been offered a quota bag should I’ve brought along her instead of my DH. I won’t get into details, but this so-called friend was really annoying all the trip and at some point, once I scored an appointment she got really jealous and from the get go was behaving almost as she got to decide what to do. She thought should she came along, she would somehow also scored a bag or would have been offered an appointment, but c’mon the chances would have been really slim.

Her whole attitude and being annoying kind of explains why I opted to bring my DH instead who would have made me feel more at ease, I already have to deal with a SA, I don’t need additional stress and drama. I had really low expectations at scoring a quota bag, but I think bringing hubby played in my favor 😅

Obviously, after she learned I scored a quota bag she was really pissed off. She arrived at the store while we were going back to the hotel we were staying nearby. She tried to ask for cancellations, but had no luck at getting an appointment 🤷🏻‍♀️ Would she behaved differently during the trip, maybe the things would have played out differently… anyway, once again I learned I prefer to travel solo or with my DH only

Seconding your personal experience as mine too! I would only go with a friend if I wasn't going for an appointment or after a quota bag myself and it was just to support said friend.

If I go shopping with a friend, whoever is the main person shopping makes the SA appt. If we both shop we have each made our own SA appts (and our SAs are well aware in advance bc this can take up more time). But, I only do this in my home city where I am very familiar with my SAs.

I would never bring a friend to my FSH appointments since I only go twice a year. I would like my SA to focus on me; and, they’ve made it very clear that they are unable to take on additional referrals.

While it is only shopping, I would also never rely on a friend’s prespend or history esp if my friend has been kind enough to ask for and make an introduction. In other words, it is only an introduction without expectations. I would go by myself to further separate the two events. And I would never make the offer to introduce unless I knew the person well; felt that she would be value added; and, first cleared it with my SA.

My fist day in Paris. FSH is not that busy as I expected but looks like no way to get a walk in for sure. So I guess I will just try lottery and if even will be lucky to score one through lottery it seems unlikely to be offered a QB. RTW has many nice pieces. I tried on few pieces and ended up buying a tunic and shoes. Overall experience is nice. But I don’t think I’ll go everyday to ask for walk in like I did last year. Here are some eye candies from displaysIMG_7088.jpegIMG_7087.jpegIMG_7086.jpegIMG_7085.jpegIMG_7084.jpegIMG_7083.jpeg

Totally with you. Fsh was crazy/as usual and lots of people were lined up. But George v was much much worse. Surprisingly, I had a much better experience Saturday at FSH? Sevres had a line at the leather desk too.

DH and I were both able to get walk in appointments (separately at different stores since we maintain our own accounts), but neither got offered anything i particularly wanted and I didn’t feel like lugging around anything I wasn’t in love with since we have a few more stops on our vacation. Oh well! Fsh SAs minus one leather desk SA were all super nice this time. Bon chance to all!

Oh interesting learning! @acrowcounted was 100% correct Paris can see all of your QBs. Shows up on your account now when you check out (I made sure to look carefully this time 🤣)

Also seemed like they were really trying to sell people on Getas.

I was pleasantly surprised that this year at least people at leather desk are polite and talk to people very nicely about walk ins. They take time to explain each customer of procedure of how to make an appointment online and why they can’t give a walk in. Last year most of the time I witnessed and heard how they just abruptly answering “NO appointments today” in a mid of customers sentence. FSH leather desk never ever empty. At least 3-4 customers stand there all the time I guess those who been granted walk in and wait their turn. And other people just come and go but there is always a line.
At Serves yesterday there was not anyone at leather desk when we came around 4pm so we just were looking at bags on display when a gentlemen asked if he can help us. We said we know it’s unlikely but was curious about walk ins and he went about few minutes very politely explaining why he can’t and advised to try next day. I thanked and we just went to a cafe on 2d floor.

Interesting thing that every leather desk person answers differently on what time she/he advises to check for walk in. FSH answered after 3pm and only same day appointment, they don’t give walkins in advance for next day, Serves said check morning for next day cancellations or after lunch for same day walk in

Day 2 in Paris. I tried 2 times for walk ins in FSH. Nothing. They don’t even check my profile. Just repeat to come later or tomorrow to check again.

At Serves though I was told in the morning to come back after 3pm after I said that I’m interested in Kelly Elan. So I returned around 4pm, I was granted a walk in. Waited for a while. I noticed many people were returning and granted walk in but all were staying at same area and shown either Geta or Evelyne bags. When I was seen and asked my wish list I listed mostly Kelly and Kelly Elan. SA returned a few minutes later with Geta bag in Chèvre Mysore in navy blue color. Stunning leather but I don’t like strap. If it would be leather strap or replaceable by zig zag strap I’d consider. I was told also black and green colors are available. I politely refused and I was told by SA since I shop RTW at FSH I should be considered a good client there and if she would work there she probably could offer me something from wish list. So she advised to try FSH again tomorrow. But honestly I don’t believe I have chances considering that they don’t even check my profile. And when I was shopping RTW first day, the SA said she can help other departments but can’t help with leather or appointment.

I even consider to buy vintage. I found a store with vintage Kelly Retourne 32 in beautiful box leather and good condition. But it’s Kelly 1 so it doesn’t have shoulder strap or double ring. I went to Hermes spa and they told me they can make a strap but will need to replace a handle and the ring. But they warned me of bag was repainted or altered not by Hermes spa they will refuse to make a strap or handle replacement. So their advice is not to risk.IMG_7126.jpeg
