I am in Paris atm. Today I bumped into an SA in store that secured me an appointment as a walk in on my last trip years ago. We had remembered each other and she is so lovely. She was able to secure me an appointment for Saturday afternoon. What is everyone’s thoughts and experiences on a weekend appt in the afternoon? I assumed afternoons had less chances so I am a little nervous. Also are there shipments on a Saturday? I was so lucky to have received a B years ago at the same store so I am after B or K and pretty open to colours beside the one I already have.
Any tips to calm my nerves? Thanks xo

I’ve had luck on a Saturday afternoon (in January) as well as in the early evening just this week. You have secured an appointment with an SA you have previously worked with, and that in and of itself is promising. Good luck, and have fun!

This is great news! I received a QB on a Saturday morning so it’d definitely possible. This past October I had an appt on a Friday afternoon and my SA offered me a SO bc she didn’t have what I was asking for ( a Constance). Have fun and enjoy!

Given how hard it is to secure any appointment at all, I'd just enjoy whatever comes! It will be what it will be. Good luck!

Agreed- just try to enjoy the moment and ask for what you are hoping for….its kind of the SA to make time for you- so I think you are already in a better position than most. Just remember, the reason the magic happens is because you have absolutely no power in the process- your only power is your positive attitude! Good luck- and I think you have already “won”- how nice to be remembered after many years!!!

Has anybody ever scored a QB in the time after Christmas but before New Years? I’ll be in Paris 12/26-1/2 so wondering what the chances are since stock is low post-Christmas. Like do they wait to offer QB after New Years at that point, etc..

Yes. Scored a b25 on dec 30st 2022 and also scored in August.
They always have bags in the back!

From lottery or an SA relationship? I think everyone knows that people with SA relationships in Paris will always have access to bags 24/7/365…it’s the lottery appointment success (and worse, walk in success) that new comers are curious about.

For OP, it probably matters how the store has performed that year/quarter up to that point. Some years, if sales are down, they’ll blow it all out at the end of the month to make goals. Other years we’ve seen basically zero bag sales in the entire month of December because they had so over sold in the fall that they held everything for the next calendar year. With the expected high revenue during the Olympics time frame this summer, I’m guessing things are going to be thin by the time the holidays come around. Just a guess though, there’s always a chance. Given how hard it is to secure any appointment at all, I'd just enjoy whatever comes! It will be what it will be. Good luck!

1). Can I only try to make an online leather appt once I reach Paris (can’t book from US)?

2). Due to the Olympics are my chances nil of getting an appt? Or will they have stock?

3). If I score an appt, can I ask directly for the bag I want or do I have to purchase other stuff prior to the appt?

4). Would it help me to tell my local SA that I’m going to Paris (could they help me to get an appt or put in a “good word” to increase my chances of getting my 1st QB?

Sorry, yes with an appointment made directly with my SA in December but with a lottery appointment in august 2019.
I wanted to point out that they do have bags but I hear what you say about quarter/monthly goals.

Voila from today.

After having my morning coffee in the fine jewellery section, I accompanied a friend shopping with her 3-year SA. I didn't make any requests; I just participated in the experience. Meanwhile, I wanted to see the SA who gave me a Constance Elan three days ago, but I think he never left the red room. I couldn't see him.

Then I went to the Sevres store and had my second coffee in the café. I waved at the SA who gave me a Picotin last week and with whom I continue my shopping. Today, she was in the leather section, which was very busy, but she saw that I was there.

In the meantime, I talked to the gentleman who schedules the appointments and now knows my children too. I told him I tried to book an appointment again but didn't succeed. He said, "Hope to see you in August," with a smile. 😂

My Paris experience isn't over yet. Honestly, I have another week here. But here are my notes so far...

On the morning of the first day I made my purchase at the FSH store, and same day at 6 PM, I got my first bag as a walk-in at the Sevres store. It was a Picotin 18.

When I said I couldn't get an appointment at Sevres, they asked if I had a profile in the country. My profile had the belt and scarf I bought that day. They asked which bag I wanted, and the SA came directly with the bag in the color and size I wanted.

Later, my second purchase with the same SA was home goods. I didn't ask for a bag, but at the end of that shopping trip, the SA gave me her card.

I went to the FSH store a second time to pick up the scarf I had ordered online. While complaining about not being able to get an appointment, I found myself upstairs.

In this context, I directly asked for a Kelly 25 Sellier, specified a specific color, but also mentioned that if that color wasn't available, black or etoupe would work too. I emphasized that if there was a Kelly in another color, I would like a Constance to go in the specific color I wanted.

The SA really wanted to give me something, so he brought a Constance Elan in the color range I specified. I think the best offer you can get in a walk-in appointment is a Constance.

Now I have a connection with at least two SAs. Their behavior towards me was delightful.

I don't want to seem ungrateful. Getting two bags in a week in Paris should be a good result, I suppose. However, my dream Kelly is still my goal.

Based on my experience, Sevres SAs can provide products from every department. I bought a bag, a twilly, and a tableware set from her.

She offered me a Kelly Pocket w/ Strap in Etoupe, a Constance Slim Verso in Gold/Lime, and a black croc constance slim. I turned everything down politely and instead purchased a Rodeo and Bastia in Vert Peppermint, a colour I've never seen before. I would have loved the Black Croc Constance Slim but too expensive. I have been unsuccessful with the lottery for the past couple weeks. Not too fussed though, will keep trying since I live in Oxford and can just take the Eurostar! Fingers crossed!
