i applied for two weeks straight and even as a male, cannot get an appointment at any Paris location, even walk ins. At FSH asking for cancellation or providing specific information about the man bag that I want, they automatically say appointment this appointment that, even for men’s bag.

Honestly, maybe it’s my appearance / origin, but I feel like FSH is not too keen on Asians asking for any bag or walk ins. I have purchased from them a year ago and even last week, but doesn’t seem to help any. I think the men are the most helpful and actually seem nice when they tell you no lol
I applied every day for the last 2 weeks straight and 31 times in total since the end of Jan and no luck, it's starting to feel impossible.

This is a sidenote for anyone who is in Paris right now and trying for a lottery appointment or planning on going anytime soon. I found that if I have repeatedly attempted to register for a lottery appointment and have been rejected, I can use that information when attempting to acquire a walk in appointment. Meaning, when I approach the hostess and explain that I’ve been in town for X amount of days and have been trying to acquire an online appointment they can check my profile and confirm how many attempts have been made.

In the past, that has been to my advantage and I’ve been able to get a walk-in appointment in conjunction with having a profile from the flagship.

Obviously, this isn’t a guarantee, as I’ve noticed that these appointments are becoming much more difficult to acquire, but it definitely helps and so does a little bit of luck. Good luck to anyone who is in Paris this summer 😊

So when I called customer service today regarding the lack of confirmation they suggested I visited a store and explained how many times I’ve applied and the issues I was having.

You can apply for leather appointment, but since you want a non QB you can try a walk in. Just come to leather desk and nicely tell that you would love to purchase a GP or Picotin and ask if you need appointment to purchase those bags. Most likely they will give you a walk in appointment but you will be offered only non quota bags that you asked. Try all 3 stores. Buying non quota bags is really easy in Paris. It all depends if they have it in stock or not
That’s super helpful!! Thank you so much!! 🙏🙏

Just to give some hope: I had an old account at FSH from many years ago and shopped regularly until 2018, got a B in almost each visit from FSH and once George V just by asking (good old times, moderate pre spend on mostly home and small leather items I couldn‘t get at my home store). I have not been to Paris since then due to pandemic, private reasons etc. but travelled there with my family this spring. FSH was so busy and way too busy for my taste. I just bought a small plate (200€) my home store failed to get me. Hesitating we (as whole family) went to the leather counter and asked directly for a non quota bag and almost immediately got a walk in appointment (not asking for cancellations, not mentioning my 2 failed lottery attempts…). The SA brought us 4 of the desired non quota bags in rare colours that were just not for us or too similar to what we (as a family) have in our stash so we politely refused all the bags presented. I then asked straight but politely for a B and the SA just asked for the specifics (indeed I was very specific: one size, one colour, one leather type) - unfortunately the bag I desired was not available that day but instead I got the opportunity to create a Birkin SO at FSH. Simply FSH magic. The whole process took about 25 minutes…
I was not wearing any H items except for my B, very casual dressing (Zara, jeans, T shirt) with Nike sneakers, displaying my knowledge of and love for the brand (which is true and lasting for the last 20 years), being always polite, not speaking French except Bonjours and almost no pre spend. Nobody asked for my profile, name whatever until having the SO specifics finished (!!!).

Your adventure at FSH sounds very hopeful for me. Due to my cancer treatment, I haven't been able to go to Paris for three years. This summer, we're going to Paris to get a small apartment for our son's collage preparation. I want to consider this opportunity to maybe get an non quota bag or even a Kelly, although my hope is below zero. Still, perhaps it could be a lucky journey like yours. I sincerely congratulate you for your special order and I wish you to use it during healthy days.

I wish you all the best in your cancer battle…and I hope you receive a bag that honors your battle.
