We are going to Paris in a few weeks. Except for stock, are there any particular categories that tend to be noticeably cheaper in France than in US/Canada? For example, blankets, and cashmere scarves seem to be on par with North American prices (less VAT), and shoes seem to be ~10% less expensive.

Coming from Canada the savings are not that much if you declare(max 10 percent). I found even the vat was less since it was sent in US dollars to my card which then converted to CAD though it came back very quickly. What i buy are items not available in Canada- petit h, sizes and styles in shoes not available and bags not ordered here.

My spouse was using an esim from them.
Thanks for the reply. Just double checking I didn't misread, did you use Verizon international service in Paris and was blocked by Hermes? For your husband, was it easy to switch back and forth between Orange and Verizon? Or did he wait to reactive the Verizon sim when you returned home? Sorry for all the questions. Trying to figure out the logistics beforehand in case I run into issues applying for the lottery.

Yes, we were using Verizon international in Paris and were blocked via Hermes there. We didn’t switch between sims while there, as we had multiple phones with us. Not sure exactly how that works. Google it?

If you have an excellent relationship with your home store, they are sometimes able to schedule a one time appt for you in Paris. I have not done this, but I know it is possible. I shop DH’s account in all Hermes boutiques worldwide (I do not have another acct in my name or any other name and DH uses the same contact info for all accounts). It’s debatable how much accounts are linked. It’s never made any difference with my offers. But, we’ve established accts by simply shopping at a new boutique when I am at that city. I don’t necessarily see the point in creating a Paris on line profile before setting foot in the store. JMO
I'd love to learn more about this. Does anyone here have any experience with this?

Today I went to FSH to pick up the shawl I purchased online. As soon as I entered, a young man asked if I needed assistance. I told him I was there to pick up an online order, do a return and repurchase for the vat refund. He said that he was a dedicated SA for online orders and that you no longer have to do a return as they can easily process the VAT now. The store was busy but he seated me at a table by the entrance while he retrieved my item.

I then asked him if I needed an appointment for an Evelyne. He said yes but that I could ask for a cancellation. He took me to the leather desk and I told them what I was looking for. The leather SA said he’d see what he could do but couldn’t promise anything. I waited about an hour and he beckoned me over and said a leather SA was available.

Long story short, I got an Evelyne and a B30. I really think them looking up my profile and previous purchases in France helped and showed that I’m a consistent shopper even though my last B was in 2019. Also it was a rainy day. 🤣🤷🏾‍♀️
What time did you go?

Someone in another platform noted 2 weeks ago that Paris was able to see they already got 2 qb in the US this year. Sounds like the accounts are now linked.
I live in the Asia Pacific and I was told by my SA earlier this week that the profile in my home store is now linked to the one in Paris and vice versa.
Thé SAs in Paris will be able to see how many QB(s) you have obtained in your home store and in Paris, before (even) offering you another when you’re in Paris.
Has anyone else been told this by their home store SA?

I was in the straisbourg FR store this week and the SA showed me my profile, I saw all of my US purchased on her handheld.
I was in Paris in April and FSH, Sevres and George V SA's were unable to pull up the info for my US, Korea and Spain purchases. Two weeks later, the Spain and US stores were unable to view my purchases in Paris. This has been "my" experience as I said earlier. I'm not speaking for everyone else.

I think it has been recently as per November? I was in Paris mid-October and for Europe it wasn’t linked.
