I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

So yesterday I visited h sevres first thing Monday and they got way more petit h stock. Strangely their slg stock was no where as good as george v from Saturday (but maybe sa dependent). The answer for cancellation is no based on too many visitors in july and they really hate bkc words(I didn’t ask for that but it comes up from the sas).

I really love petit h in person and the foldable totes I got where exactly as requested (classic h designs in classic colours).

Anyone know if we can ask the SA to update our passport info on their system? I opened my H account in Paris a few years ago and I had some spending history from back then. I will be visiting Paris again soon with a new passport (issued by a different country). Does that mean I would have to open a new account and give up all the spending history? Any thoughts will be appreciated!
Merci beaucoup.
I renewed my U.S. passport couple months before my Paris trip. First purchase I made at H they noticed the passport number was different and asked me. I confirmed I renewed it. They updated my account in their system. Next time I made a purchase they already had it in the system no questions asked.

I do want to mention that I had ordered the passport id card also. Never had it prior and know nothing much about it except can’t use for international airport travels as identification. Thought I could use it to make purchases so I didn’t have to walk around with my passport in my handbag. Was told the number is different than on my passport so it can’t be used. I didn’t even compare the two. Thought I’d share this bit of info. Hope this all helps.

I have two passports and both are on my account. Also, when US citizens renew passports the numbers change, and it's easy enough to update your customer account when that happens - so all you need to do is have an SA or cashier update your account.

Hi, does anyone know what will happen if you get an appointment but have to cancel it? Is there any consequence e.g. blacklist?
I don’t think if you cancel it’s going to affect you in anyway. Actually if you are 100% sure that you won’t make it I think it’s better to cancel so you can give a chance for someone to receive a walk in that day instead of just no show up

Just came here for some encouragement... I've been trying to get an online appointment for days with no luck, and leaving at the end of the week. A walk-in appointment seems unlikely. I stopped by Monday morning at FSH and it was a mad house with multiple people begging for appointments. I just feel like it's not going to happen and pretty bummed
I think you should try again when nobody is asking.
I was in today and they managed to fit me in. They said no at first then for some reason reconsidered, checked my profile and I had an appointment within 20 minutes!
It is definitely more worth it than the lottery system IMO.

Don’t give up hope entirely (even the SA who served me in SLG at FSH recently told me not to give up hope of an appointment!). I also missed out on the lottery but got lucky requesting a walk-in at Sèvres (after building rapport with a SA, and some spend at both Sèvres and FSH), and altogether preferred the experience there over FSH. Are you trying at stores other than FSH?

We were declined appointments more than 23 times between us in April/May…you are not alone. Perhaps you might have more luck with a walk in at George V or Sevres. FSH is always so busy and the leather concierge so overwhelmed with others also seeking appointments.

Do you have a big spend history at FSH? I bought a belt when I visited but it was my first purchase there. It looks like they couldn’t see my profile from NY. I thought maybe they were combining US and EU profiles.. does anyone know if that’s something you need to specifically request?

I'm not the person to whom you asked this question but I can say that I had zero spend in Paris when I arrived for my recent visit. During the week I was in Paris (only a week ago), I bought a watch at Sevres along with a few other small items, and a Cinhetic clutch at FSH. I had the sense that the purchase of the clutch carried some weight in the assessment of whether I should receive a a walk-in leather appointment. My Sevres SA said they can see bags but not other spend in our overseas profiles (I am not a US client), but many of my bags were bought a long time ago, and I would not be confident that they have records that trace that far back, so I am not sure that was relevant (unlike the spend at FSH).

I do have previous history at FSH but not a huge spending there. My home is NY too but I never get any bags there besides spending money.
They checked my account when I asked for a cancellation.
I didn’t buy anything except a scarf online when I asked.
In the past I also got cancellations without having to purchase anything.
If they can’t find your account, check with them again on ask at the register maybe to create one?

Thanks for all the responses! I tried the Sevres store today and was actually able to get a walk in spot! They were upfront however that no Kellys or Birkins would be shown, but I have a couple non B/K items on my wish list. Unfortunately they didn't have anything close enough to what I am looking for, but they did offer some other bags to try to find something for me. The offers weren't particularly great, but I do count the whole experience as a win! They were really nice at the store and genuinely seemed to want to help me, and I acknowledged that I was looking for some fairly specific items. I am more encouraged to try again though. It does seem like a bit of luck and just trial and error to find the right person, and the right stock in the store that day!
