I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

This is exactly what happened for me too. The one thing I would add for me though is even though the SA wrote her personal WA number on the bcard, I think she might have been using a corporate phone. I noticed she would read and reply to my txts generally only during business hours.
For me as well. She gave me her details and wrote a little thank you note in Portuguese, my language. She was the sweetest ;) but I didn’t ask either, she offered.

I’ve read through the thread and searched but not sure if possible at all to get a large 35 or 40 B in a neutral dark color if I could get a lottery appointment or if even worth asking if we go for other purchases (not bags). If this is my goal is it even worth trying? Or best to keep spending at home store? Thank you

Definitely worth trying if you get an appointment! Paris has the largest selection/range of bags and it won’t hurt to ask. If they don’t have it or can’t offer it, they may try to bring you an alternative. But with smaller sizes being more popular/higher in demand, you may actually luck out by asking for the bigger sizes. Whereas if your home store didn’t order those sizes, you might be waiting a long time..

Absolutely worth asking if you get an appointment. So many people want the small sizes now. If you're interested in a 35 or especially a 40, I think your chances are good. Honestly I would even ask for a walk in appointment, telling them you're interested in a B40. Because the demand for that size is much smaller, they may offer you an appointment.

Hi All,
I was wondering if the SAs in Paris give out their personal contact to their clients.
When I was in Paris, I connected with an SA and when I asked for his contact, he gave me his email and told me I could connect/contact him via email. So was just wondering if they don’t give out their personal contacts because they don’t deem us as a “good” client.
Am thinking of popping over in Nov/Dec to purchase a couple of items and was hoping the same SA can help me with it.
While a number of SAs (not H) in Paris gave me their WhatsApp contact info, it was not their personal contact info. The SA with whom I worked at Hermès shared her email address. And my SA in the US gave me her mobile digits but for her work phone, not her personal phone. We text during work hours. I think they probably all have their contact preferences which almost certainly do not include sharing personal info.

Thanks guys!
I just emailed my SA to ask of his availability and hopefully will receive his reply soon!
Does anyone have any experience with stock inventory during November/December?
I doubt he already knows his availability in 4-5 months. I would advise to ask him 2-3 weeks advance your trip when he knows his work schedule.

Definitely worth it! Dare I say it may be easier to get a 35 (than say a 25/28/30) in a neutral color since it’s not as popular! I think I saw someone get a 35 (etoupe?) in Paris recently. I can’t remember if it was posted in this thread or the offers.

I thought I’d do a quick post on my recent stay in Paris. I was not successful in obtaining a lottery appointment but struck a fantastic SA in Sèvres and shopped with her on several visits. I bought a watch, some silks and SLGs as well as a bag (see below). She was an absolute delight and gave me her contact details on the first visit and a lovely handwritten note on my last visit. On my last day in the city she kindly arranged for me to have a walk-in leather appointment, where I was offered exactly the bag I’d been hoping for - a Bolide 25. I was flexible on colour which was fortunate because I was told the bag I was offered - Bleu Celeste Epsom - was the only one available.

I also visited FSH and didn’t enjoy the experience nearly as much as Sèvres although I did pick up a Cinhetic clutch in Magnolia chèvre, which is just adorable. But the shopping experience felt a bit like waiting to be served in a department store during the holiday sales. My French and my Cardamome chèvre Kelly definitely got me better service here!

I do think my profile was assessed by someone in the leather department before I was offered the walk-in at Sèvres, although it’s hard to say with certainty what the criteria were. Probably a mix of subjective (my SA liked me, wanted me to leave Paris happy and advocated for me) and objective (my purchase at FSH was mentioned; and I said I wasn’t interested in a B or K).

I chatted to a lovely lady from California while we were both waiting for our leather appointments at Sèvres. If she’s here on tPF, I hope she got her Picotin!

I have some SAs telling me they dont know their schedule until 1 month in advance? On the other hand, there are people who manage to secure appointments with their SAs months ahead.

Would like to hear thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!

Actually the max is about 1 month thereabouts for my experience. They will know their off days for sure but for last min assignments they won’t know. Eg.. involved in training the new SAs

Sometimes it doesn't matter when we make appointments because the SAs who end up going off can always arrange for their colleagues to cover for them. It's happened a few times to me. Summer is when many of the team go off as traditionally it's when they relax and spend time with family. Concurrently there might be fewer online slots available due to staff shortage. Those without children tend go off in September as the weather is still nice, but the kids in Europe are all back at school and flights are more reasonable. Giving sufficient notice of at least a month is helpful enough.
