Oh what a bummer… I just realized that Paris fashion week starts next Tuesday! I always thought it’s in July. I fly to Paris on Saturday and wanted to visit FSH on Monday…

I do love RTW and so probably will find something nice anyway. But I guess even if I can talk to an SA in the leather department, they will already hold everything back for the vips who are about to arrive, no?
Not necessarily. I got my 28K quadrille right before fashion week in 2022.
I’m keeping fingers crossed for you! Good luck!

So visit. There’s no exact rules for how this work. You can and can’t get lucky no matter what’s going on. Don’t get discouraged before you even try or without sound evidence suggesting that this is absolutely the worse to time to visit.

Absolutely worth it! The craziness was comical but only a very small portion of the whole store, for us. The amount of bags on display alone makes it worth visiting! There are also some very stylish people! I loved seeing the clients bags too. Fsh was definitely the bigger prettier store but I preferred the calmness and less traffic at Sevres(which is also a beautiful store).
Sevres is my favorite store in Paris. I feel it's a good mix of locals and tourists many carrying iconic bags. The bag displays are gorgeous!!

Going to the flagship store tomorrow, does anyone know if they still make a noir Kelly 32 in boxcalfskin? Already have a purchase history, and I really don't want to buy vintage
They do make a 32 in Box, in noir, in PHW for sure and I would think also GHW. But like all heritage leathers it's rare; also like all heritage leathers, much much easier to buy this bag than a pink Epsom K25  unfortunately also much more expensive!

There seems to be an increase in Box leather offers lately. If trying for a walk in, I would find some way to fit in you're interested in a 32 size. Since it's a less desirable size at the moment, you may have a chance.

Oh interesting that heritage leathers are EASIER to get rather than harder! I’d thought that the supply is so low it’s reserved for true VIPs

It's gonna be Men's fashion week from Tuesday. Paris has been pretty busy with men these past years for this event  Followed by wmns Haute Couture from July 3. Not as busy as rtw fashion shows in September.

I saw another couple who got seated at the same restaurant after us and she clearly had an H bag purchase bc she was carrying one of those discreet white shopping bags and it was huge! I almost was tempted to ask her what she scored but the look on her face was a happy one!
Sometimes when I buy shoes or rtw, they also ask me if I want a white bag in case I will walk around in Paris and don't want to attract attention of any malicious mind.

Most people who come to try for a bag in Paris (or anywhere really) are after something a bit more mainstream like Togo or Epsom (and usually in a size smaller than K32 which was the poster's ask). Box calf is higher maintenance as well as more expensive and tends to appeal a bit more to classicists, collectors, etc., so it's a rarer ask. Barenia is a little different as it's in very short supply these days, but still not the most popular except when in a Picnic bag. Volynka in my experience you can always buy if they have it.

All my purchases have been presented in white bags for quite a while. My SAs are very concerned with my safety and well being, especially during solo appointments, even though I could literally roll out of the store back to the hotel. I personally do not get the items sent as I don't want the concierge to take responsibility and anyway I tend to put everything away in my luggage myself. So far this has worked out well for us over the years.
