I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I wish we had a thread just of places to go around a Paris store visit!
Around Sevres, Grace on Rue du Bac for breakfast. Café Varenne also on Bac for breakfast and especially lunch. If you are walking to the Jardin du Luxembourg afterward to decompress, Cafe Pavane has excellent cold drinks and pastries, and Il Gelato du Marche has some of the best ice cream in Paris.
Le Hibou is about 10 minutes walk from Sevres and is lovely for lunch with great people watching

That’s really sad.
Exactly why I chose a hotel with a pool for our visit to Paris this summer so that hubby can take the kids to the pool while I go shopping for a morning! And in previous family vacations to cool and interesting places... at the end of the trip when you ask them what their favorite part was, the answer is usually "the pool!" (nevermind we also have a pool at home!)

Ah but Comptoir du Relais is across the street from Hibou and is way way better food (although if on any kind of health regime stay at Hibou and have the saumon au vapeur or chicken paillard!). However Hibou is bigger, with better people watching, and they have a yummy drink called Watermelon Sugar (you can have it with or without tequila depending on how your H appointment went. No it will not give you a Watermelon Sugar High  ).

Oh what a bummer… I just realized that Paris fashion week starts next Tuesday! I always thought it’s in July. I fly to Paris on Saturday and wanted to visit FSH on Monday…

I do love RTW and so probably will find something nice anyway. But I guess even if I can talk to an SA in the leather department, they will already hold everything back for the vips who are about to arrive, no?

On the other hand maybe they’ll have more bags than usual and feel a giving mood? Cheers to the optimist!

They always hold some stock in the back for VIPs or certain clients anyway so I don’t think much will change for people trying to get anything via walk-in (I.e. they’re not going to hold “everything” back and have 0 bags for non fashion week vips). stores might probably be busier, but might as well try!

I can relate but also this happens everywhere including Chanel with classic flaps and LV with literally anything LV, and I’m from Canada where we’re known to be polite lol.
I remember being in Paris 7 years ago and walking into Chanel and they had a notice stating that they limited bag purchases to 3 per day. I just wanted one bag, but my sales associate told me they had people who would come in every day for a week and purchase 3 bags a day.

When my kids were little I never went to any hotel that didn't have a pool, and then would block out time every day as pool time.

When I was in Paris in fall 2021, I had an appointment on the Saturday before fashion week and was offered a B25...I'd imagine they are sure to have a multitude of bags right before fashion week. Good luck!
