Has anyone gotten an appointment in Paris while registering in another country on first try? I will be in Paris in May but only have 1 day to shop since I land on a Sunday and the following day is also closed for Holiday. I will have to apply for appointment on the Saturday for chance to get the Tuesday appointment. My chance are super slim and I also heard they can see your location when you apply for the appointment and that it’s better if you’re in Paris while applying. Any truth to this? I know people have gotten appointments from applying in another country but it was many attempts. I have been reading the forum but haven’t came across any comments regarding getting an appointment on first try having apply from a different country. Please share if you know. Thanks!

I was in Venice, Italy the day before and my friend and I could never hit the sign up form from any of our four devices. Once we landed in Paris, we were able to hit the signup form instantly. They can check your IP address to see where you are/the request is being made.

Oh no that’s gonna be a problem for me since I don’t land in Paris until Sunday and cannot apply that day :( Thanks for sharing!

Hi all - I signed up yesterday for today (and did click the confirmation email), and didn’t received any rejection email last night. Due to SIM card failure I also wasn’t able to see if I received a text message or not :(… Has anyone experienced this (eg lost their phone so don’t have a text)? If I go and ask them to check with my registration details, do they know if I have an appointment (assuming that’s the case)? I’m so annoyed with the sim issue which isn’t resolvable quickly (and a bit excited about the fact that I might have an appointment!).

Or not receiving an email could still mean that I’m rejected?

Thank you!!

Hi, no email regrettably means a rejection and is quite common nowadays (in case of an appointment you receive a text message and an email). You would also receive a 2nd text message with the appointment confirmation today at 9:30. kind regards

Hi. I can’t speak for the other persons experience. I can only say from my experience and others I know who regularly visit and apply in this way. I have applied from the UK many times before I got a SA and have had no problem beforehand. My friend also applied a month ago from the UK and was able to submit, so I wouldn’t let that put you off. My friend in Sweden also applies before she makes the journey and she did that in Feb. So I wouldn’t say it doesn’t work because that hasn’t been the experience I have experienced or seen happen with others. So I would still apply if you are heading there anyway. What have you got to lose!

Well I experienced a new twist on the appointment request this morning. As we have done since arriving in Paris on the 4th, my son, husband and I all requested an appointment this morning on each of
our mobile phones. My son and I got our email confirmations that we were registered via email immediately and my husband did not. We found from previous experience yesterday, that he needed to try again, which he did. He clicked on the “I’m not a robot verification pictures” and immediately received a “you have been blocked” message. Did everything that was required and now he can’t try and get an appointment our last two days here. So very disappointed. Just wanted to share our experience.

Have use a different phone then the one he used last time. Maybe hop on a wifi too. He should be able to register then. You can search this thread for previous instances of this happening, there’s usually a workaround you can do.

Your application will have a number associated, so you can check in person, but usually no email does mean a rejection.

My sister applied before leaving home (NY) and got appointment for the next day with single try. I got my appointment after 5th try that trip, so it really depends on luck.

I had the exact experience. TPFers advised using another email and it did the trick for me! Using another phone also worked as well.

I have an FSH SA, but DH mistakenly booked my appt at the same time as our Guy Savoy lunch reservation, so we had to scramble at the last minute to change. It also turned out my SA was on leave, so another person was assigned to assist. I’m mainly a RTW person, but it’s difficult to find things that fit that I love. (The substitute SA also dissuaded me from buying a white backless dress that I adored, but i was probably muffin topping where I couldn’t see)

I eventually found two tops in women’s RTW and two in men’s ( one of the men’s pieces is for me). When the substitute SA asked for all of my wishes, I asked for a B25 in dark blue or gray, phw, and I also showed her a pic of my dream bag. She came back with two boxes and the opportunity to purchase both but i rejected the b25, bleu de prusse, phw.

I have a few H bags in similar blue shades, so I didn’t get as much of a thrill with this BdP. I was thrilled and surprised beyond belief to see my 30 bolide dream combo (it came in a special box which I declined to take). My prespend is not high, but I’m a RTW shopper. I took the bolide :D, and I regret that DH and SA dissuaded me from a white dress more than I regret passing on the b25 lol

It was amazing to show the SA a pic of my dream bag only to have her open the box IRL a few minutes later

Thank you so much @Helventara :)
In the pic, the bolide is crossbody with a techno fabric H mens shirt sleeved top in black watch and green plaid (current season) and dark green courreges painters pants .
