I have an FSH SA, but DH mistakenly booked my appt at the same time as our Guy Savoy lunch reservation, so we had to scramble at the last minute to change. It also turned out my SA was on leave, so another person was assigned to assist. I’m mainly a RTW person, but it’s difficult to find things that fit that I love. (The substitute SA also dissuaded me from buying a white backless dress that I adored, but i was probably muffin topping where I couldn’t see)

I eventually found two tops in women’s RTW and two in men’s ( one of the men’s pieces is for me). When the substitute SA asked for all of my wishes, I asked for a B25 in dark blue or gray, phw, and I also showed her a pic of my dream bag. She came back with two boxes and the opportunity to purchase both but i rejected the b25, bleu de prusse, phw.

I have a few H bags in similar blue shades, so I didn’t get as much of a thrill with this BdP. I was thrilled and surprised beyond belief to see my 30 bolide dream combo (it came in a special box which I declined to take). My prespend is not high, but I’m a RTW shopper. I took the bolide , and I regret that DH and SA dissuaded me from a white dress more than I regret passing on the b25 lol

It was amazing to show the SA a pic of my dream bag only to have her open the box IRL a few minutes later
It looks beautiful on you! I was offered this same bag in Feb 2022 (Vegas) and so I have seen it in person. I am not a blue lover so in the end I passed but it was a really, really hard thing to do because it was so beautiful! I was so tempted and thought about it for days. The Bolide is such a wearable bag enjoy her in good health!

Update from Paris Part 3

So to continue my update- I dropped into FSH on Friday the 31st just to quickly check to see if a few items on my wish list had come in with recent shipment (no luck). The store was very, very quiet I did meander by the leather desk and overheard the attendant telling a couple that no there were no appointments and that no there would be no possibility in the coming days because of XX (was not close enough to hear) and that as a result tomorrow was one of their busiest days of the year. I think it may have been the Paris marathon because it was being held that weekend and the city was bustling. I was able to do some other shopping at Dior, Galleries Lafayette and Channel and all but Galleries Lafayette were very quiet. I also dropped by FSH on Saturday to see if it was any busier- it was not the store was very quiet. I have never seen FSH as quiet as it was the last week of March.

On Monday I decided to return to Severes to pick-up some items I had on reserve as the lovely SA I had met the previous week indicated she would be working that day. She happened to at the top of the staircase as I walked into the store and so she was easy to find. She told me she would go and get my reserve items and if there was anything else I was looking for and we started on my list. She went into the back to check stock and I told her that I while she was doing that I was going to the leather desk to inquire about about a cancellation appointment. The gentleman in the leather department asked me what bag I was looking for (this is always a good sign!) I said Kelly and he replied that that was going to be very difficult and were there any other bags I was interested in? I asked about a constance and was told no there were none in stock-what other bags might I be interested in? I asked about a Birkin and replied you are really trying to make things difficult- at that point my SA returned from the back stock room- none of the belts I had inquired about were available. She chatted with the leather SA and then turned to me and said you were interested in shoes- let me show you to the shoe department. I actually had several shoes that were on my list- when we got around the corner to the shoe department she told me that they would work me in! They wanted to take me away because there were people watching and listening. We went though my long wish list and unfortunately Severes had no stock of any of the additional items on my list. My SA escorted me to the leather desk for my appointment and continued to look for stock/availability of items on my list. I was assigned a lovely leather SA who asked what I wanted (MK K25) first choice and I told her I already had K32 and 2 K28s. She told me Kellys were very difficult to get at this time so what would be my second option- constance- no Constances in stock. So I asked for B25 or B30 (preferably B30) in noir, gold or other neutral, preferably GHW but HW was flexible. I was shown back to a private room where I was told only K32 available but I was shown a B25 noir with rose gold hardware, a matching back pocket and a so black rodeo! I declined the back pocket but accepted the rodeo. This is my first Birkin- I would never have imagined that I would get a B25 before K25 but the leather SA indicated that it was very, very difficult to get smaller Kellys. Kelly's are more in demand than Birkin these days- maybe because most already have a Birkin and are looking to expand their collections with a Kelly?

I am not sure if my lovely Severes SA is the reason I was granted an appointment as the gentleman had asked me about bag preferences- which generally indicates that they may be willing to accommodate- but I may have only gotten an appointment for non-QB if I was on my own.

It was a truly fantastic experience! It was such a different experience from FSH! I was not able to do any additional shopping before my flight home and I did not have an opportunity to visit the airport boutiques on this visit. I hope this info helps.

Paris Price Increases

One more thing that I forgot to mention is that there have been some additional price increases in Paris since the one in Jan. In March some of the leather goods went up in price by 3-5%. For example the In the Loop Belt Bag was 2,500€ in December and wet up to 2,880€ in Jan and in March the new price is 2,950€ and slightly more for verso. Not sure if/when we will see the increase in North America.

Hello
I’m in Paris and like everyone I harbor obvious fantasies of picking up a bag at H. I have applied for the lottery (as have all of my travel companions) and so far- no luck.
I am curious- have other TPF’ers been successful? Or is this an urban myth!

Thank you!
Maya

Hi all - I signed up yesterday for today (and did click the confirmation email), and didn’t received any rejection email last night. Due to SIM card failure I also wasn’t able to see if I received a text message or not … Has anyone experienced this (eg lost their phone so don’t have a text)? If I go and ask them to check with my registration details, do they know if I have an appointment (assuming that’s the case)? I’m so annoyed with the sim issue which isn’t resolvable quickly (and a bit excited about the fact that I might have an appointment!).

Or not receiving an email could still mean that I’m rejected?

Thank you!!
I never got any text message either! Just emails. And yes sometimes they don’t even come until next day

Wow!!! That is so unique and utterly stunning. I love that you asked for it and it appeared! Can’t wait to see all the ways you style it.
