When the substitute SA asked for all of my wishes, I asked for a B25 in dark blue or gray, phw, and I also showed her a pic of my dream bag. She came back with two boxes and the opportunity to purchase both but i rejected the b25, bleu de prusse, phw.

I have a few H bags in similar blue shades, so I didn’t get as much of a thrill with this BdP. I was thrilled and surprised beyond belief to see my 30 bolide dream combo (it came in a special box which I declined to take). My prespend is not high, but I’m a RTW shopper. I took the bolide :biggrin:, and I regret that DH and SA dissuaded me from a white dress more than I regret passing on the b25 lol

Arrived in Paris today and feel so
defeated. Was able to get a walk-in appt. But I got an SA who was not vibing it with me. She didn’t even introduce herself to me and gor
right down to business. Asked me what I wanted but I knew it wasn’t good when she didn’t ask me specifically what I wanted as far as leathers or hardware. In the end, she said she didn’t have any quota bags but I know it wasn’t true bc the lady next to us got offered a Kelly. Oh well. Guess it wasn’t meant to be. I knew it was too easy with a walk-in appt.

You just arrived today. You can try again. When you asked for an appointment did they ask what bags were you interested in? What did you tell say if so?

Yes they asked me at the desk. So if they truly didn’t have, they should’ve told me then. I think o was just I lucky with the SA. Only 2 more tries with appts and I’ll see if I can walk-in to the other 2 locations though chances are slimmer there. Guess I can’t ruin my vacation with my family over this. But it stinks for sure!

The black dress was a leather dress for about 8K eu. I didn’t try it bc it was a size 38, and I think I had to go up to a size 40 or 42 on the white techno fabric dress :( And, I didn’t want to feel terribly about eating pastry in Paris lol.
Did you get the white one? I think both would be amazing on you

H and how they do things is an acquired taste, for sure. Most dont like it but roll with how they do things and then some dont. The bolded is literally in every thread. The standard saying around here is that statement means they didn’t have any bags for you. Try not to take it personally. There are people that’s been trying for months. Don’t let one day ruin it for you. I’m surprised you got a walk in on the first day, honestly. Try again but also try to manage your expectations that leather appointments don’t automatically mean a bag.

Thank you! However the SA that was subbing for my usual SA was equally blunt and did not recommend that I purchase the backless white dress even when we sized up. Both the SA and DH kind of shook their heads and said well the dress looks okay from the front (it’s backless, so if it didn’t pass muster in the back, it’s all over) The black dress was too small to try on… I’m actually grateful for their honesty, so am resolved to diet more by my next visit to Paris lol :)

I ended up getting a few tops

Getting a bag, whether quota or non quota is the luck of the draw. It’s best to go in having zero expectations. When I discovered my regular SA was away on leave, I assumed the substitute would be merely going through the motions. But, even with my regular SA, I don’t expect any bag. That way, if anything, I can be pleasantly surprised. It has not been my experience that prespend has anything to do with getting a bag, and I believe that if a bag is your real goal, then it will be hard to develop a permanent relationship at FSH. JMO

You absolutely should try it on. I’m sure it’s different for everyone! Fingers crossed it works for you! :)

ETA: had DH not been sitting right behind me on the fitting room sofa, and had the SA not been waiting right outside the door to see it, I loved it so much, I might have just cracked the door open; said I loved it; and put it on the take home pile. :)
