I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Let me tell you…I feel you. Everything you mention in your post is identical to my appointment from last year with the same SA. No greeting, no smile, straight forward „what do you want“ inkl. rolling eyes and of course no bag. She gave me the feeling of being small and unwanted. Luckily I had great appointments before so I decided for myself to focus on the positive memories instead of this one.
First I am very sorry for your experience. My SA also rolled her eyes at me and I definitely felt small and disrespected. I am so very glad this was not my first experience as it likely would have been my last. I am a dedicated H fan and have shopped H around the globe and never experienced the disrespectful treatment I experienced on this particular appointment. Thankfully it was not my first or last experience and I had a lovely time in Paris so it is water under the bridge.

Update from Paris- (Part 2)

After my unsuccessful appointment at FSH I visited George V I asked about cancellations but was told no (politely). Unlike FSH, George V was busy and after waiting for 1 1/2 hours for homeware SA to be free I gave-up on George V- but I did overhear an interesting conversation. The SA was busy helping a client order a complete 10 place setting- the SA explained what they had in stock and the plan to ship remaining pieces- when the client expressed reluctance to do this because of customs and duties-and that she would take what was kin stock and could leave with her. Then she asked the SA if the purchase would be sufficient to get a Birkin? The SA responded that they were not connected and that she could get a bag with no purchase and that you buy plates because you like them not because you want a bag and that it was illegal practice. The client then told her that her SA told her to buy plates and then she could get a bag- the SA wanted the name and location of the SA. The client refused to name the SA because she did not want to get in trouble and she was confident she would gat a bag.

My next stop was Severes to check out Petit H- I am a big fan and I wanted to know why it is no longer available on the Canadian and Australian websites. My SA was unaware and called the Petit H manger to see if she had mor information. Turns out that they are permanently discontinued from these markets because petit H inventory is so low and the would rather serve fewer markets with ample inventory vs. serving markets with limited selection. Makes sense but I am still disappointed-I guess that will be all the more reason to visit Paris in the future. I found a beautiful chashmere/silk shawl that I adked them to hold as I was not sure if it would coordinate with a sweater I had brought with me and return wearing the items I wanted to check. The petit H manager surprised me with a small gift-a Petit H pinwheel I-loved it!

I did ask at the leather desk for any possible cancellations and was told no there are never any cancellations!

Take aways
1) linked selling is illegal in France-thus be careful of the approach of buying from one SA/ store and then asking for a bag.
2) petit H is discontinued in canada and Australia.

Stay tuned for part 3

Hi all - just want to make sure that I’m not doing the wrong thing (apologies if this topic was covered before :(…), I went to this link (https://rendezvousparis.hermes.com/client/welcome) hoping to enter for an appointment for Tuesday 11 April. I tried at 11:30am Paris time on Monday, 10 April and this screen popped up. Is it because they have Easter holidays (although I’m entering for a Tuesday appointment), or all appointments are full?

Is my link correct?

Sorry I just wanted to see if I’m doing things right! Thank you!

xxDxx is correct, due to the holidays, Saturday was the day to apply for an appointment for tomorrow, the 11th. I’m in Paris and have tried 5 times for an appointment, with no luck. Not giving up yet. Hope you get one.

For those that visited Paris with timed attraction tickets, do you just come to Paris with the expectation if you get h appointment, you will drop everything?
If you already have plan to visit say Versailles, do you then not apply for appointment for that day or still apply?
How early/late can you be for that miracle appointment?
I booked Disneyland for my kids on a Sunday because I knew Hermes was closed

My friend applied on Saturday for tomorrow because of the easter holidays. You can try again tomorrow for Wednesday.
Thank you for the info!

Thank you! Good luck to you too!

Is it common that email to confirm appointment request not coming through?
If never click the link because email not coming through, does that mean you will not get a chance for an appointment at all?
If the confirmation does not come through, apply again. It took my husband 3 times before his came through this morning. Mine came immediately.

I told myself I would share on this thread no matter what happens since I really enjoy reading all the experiences and hope it helps some of us.

Went to France for 2 weeks. First time in Paris and also first time shopping at H. Applied total around 9 days total x 2 passports. Some days you don’t even get an answer until the next day 8AM

First day I went to visit Georges V. Everyone was extra friendly and helpful. My SA tried really hard to get all the items I was looking for. Bear in mind I was mainly looking for discontinued or old season items so they didn’t have those. But got a few goodies <500E. Chit chat for a bit with other SAs too, it was so fun!
Pass by Sèvres to pick up and online order. Also met a super nice SA. Admired some beautiful bags and decor at Sèvres. Both stores I was too shy so didn’t ask for an appointment.

Went down to French Rivera and did visit some H stores also.

Came back to Paris on the 2nd week and did visit FSH and Sevres again. Then I did ask for cancellations without any success but got lucky with some Calvis and Kelly pocket strap!

On the 4th day in Paris, actually got lucky with an appointment at Georges V @ 6h15PM.
I was so worried since I thought it was so late and maybe Georges V has less stock. Then appointment time got earlier and earlier. And I heard that is a bad sign since that means they are going through appointments quicker.
Finally it got moved to 3h15! And by 2PM, the link told us to get to the store where to rush over. I did wear my H bag with me.

At Georges V, was greeted by the nice staff who asked us to wait for an SA… and she was so nice and friendly, right there ask me what would I like…right in the middle of the SLG section with everyone! So I blurbed her my wish list and all. She even asked me about my collection so what I could add to complete it etc. I have her a few choices. Mainly MiniK like everyone and B25-B30 but I really wish Barenia leather/ box/ no Epsom/ maybe a touch. She said touch was rare because they don’t get much compare to FSH.

Then about 15-20min later she came back and ask us to follow her. And the rest is history!

My take-home msg:
1. You have to get lucky for the appointment. My spent was < 3K total in France. I don’t believe spent $ has to do with it.
2. Even if your appointment time moves up you shouldn’t be worried
3. Georges V was the friendliest for me but I know experiences can vary. And they do have tons of stock! Don’t be put off because it’s the smallest of the 3 stores
4. Getting a quota bag in south of France was harder than what people said at least for me but I wasn’t willing to spend more money ….
5. Add on*** Just plan your trip and activities and if you get lucky then you can decide whenever you are willing to drop that activity that day! Enjoy Paris!

Hope this shed some insight and good luck guys!

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your story. I am in Paris until Friday afternoon. Still keeping my fingers crossed I can get an appointment, but even if I don’t, 10 days in Paris is always wonderful.
