I’m planning a trip to Paris either a week before Christmas or starting January 1st.

Is stock generally better before Christmas?
I got a Birkin and a Kelly in December, not the same year, but that was a few years ago. December used to have a lot of stock, not so sure this year. As for January, sometimes they say it's better because Xmas shopping frenzy is over and stock is back, and sometimes they say it's bad because all the stock is gone and it's too soon after... :confused1:

Is the first week of January just as bad?
In my opinion November/December is the best time they tend to have more stock. January is bad very low stocks after the holiday season and couture Fashion week start mid January.

At the end of the day they is no rule some peoples will get bags at that time, august. They always have stocks maybe they can sell less bags during that time. But when a SA told you no B/K it’s a lie.

Exactly. Hard to predict!

By the way, I made a small (1000€) purchase today at Sèvres and applied for an appointment. The trick didn't work again! So it's been 11 months, 40+ tries and no appointment (but a few non-QB purchased). I think I'm almost done and I might ask my SA for a direct appointment:lol:
If you are getting bags of any sort from a Paris store, I would assume they are registering an impromptu leather appointment granted on your profile which we’ve heard can make it less likely to receive a subsequent appointment through the online system (ie receiving an appointment of any kind may make you ineligible to receive another one for some time frame).

I had 1 at Sèvres (in January), the others at the Bordeaux store (May and July). I asked my SA and she told me it's not related and I could still win the lottery...

Just ask your SA for an appointment. They will show your profile to the Cuir department and use their influence. As a local you should have a good chance. Good luck!!

Hello!
Can anyone share their recent Paris Hermes experience (lottery, QB, overall stock at stores). I’m headed next week and want to be prepared. It’s my first time to visit the Paris boutiques so I’m excited!
Thank you for any tips or advice!

Head back about ten pages and start reading. Everyone is sharing their experiences.

Best of luck with your trip and just don’t get your heart set on a bag. Enjoy Paris!
