Sharing a success story!
TLDR; I got a k25 at George V Tuesday last week.
I have been lurking this thread starting about a year ago when I got my first leather appt thru lottery. Around nov ‘21, we had 4 ppl try for leather appt and on the 4th and last day, my phone number scored an appt at the FSH store right when they open. By that day, I have already spent maybe 5-7k in small leather goods and shoes. We got seated in the general room with those leather desk tables with other people. the SA came and asked what I wanted, I muttered some words and she cut me off and said she had no B, K or C, mini lindy, Picotin 18. I was so disappointed ☹️ considering I was overly excited and barely slept the night b4 (mostly spent my time reading this thread lol). I walked away that day with a Halzan 31 in rose mexico and she came up with a Pegasus to match. Total time, less than an hour.
Almost a year later we are visiting paris again, much more people this time around. I didn’t have high hope in scoring a leather appt thru lottery, and didnt even bother trying the first day. We visited the George V store, and bought a few things we loved/needed (watch straps, orans, mini rivale). My husband went back got a leather appt for me! He actually didn’t tell me why we r going back to Hstore again at 3pm.
Anywho, we arrived, took them a few minutes to find the appt since it wasn’t thru the lottery route. Was asked to sit in the same type of leather table (I obviously didn’t have my hopes up from previous experience since bkc are offered in private rooms).
Q1) SA asked me what I wanted, I started with, r mini Kelly’s rare? She chuckled and confirmed. So I said I would like b/k in 25 in neutrals like grey, black or whites like crai. She replied gold okay? I said no gold (gosh i was so hesitant of this reply…).
Q2) then she grilled me on the leather type… I honestly didn’t care, but forced out chèvre or togo.
Q3) She followed up with what color hardware, I responded with gold.
Q4) She then asked what is my second choice. By this point I was feeling more disappointed… I said epsom? I was’t sure if she wanted me to go up in size or respond with diff color options, I was very nervous.
SA said she would go check on what they have. The whole conversation lasted maybe less than 5 mins, she was efficient with no small talk. SA came back with a box, and asked us to follow her to the elevator. There was another SA in elevator and she chatted with him while ignoring us (so awkward).
We came to a room and I’m perking up at this point. The SA also started warming up, she nonchalantly said we have exactly what you asked for… and started unboxing talk about the suspense. At this point, I don’t even know the color or size but the box looked huge so I thought it must be a b30 or k28. SA presented a k25/ retourne / ghw/ Togo. It was lovely and miniature in person! I loved it with excitement bursting out instantly. All the photos taken in the room with had my face looking like the Joker…
Afterwards, she answered a few noob questions from me, reminded me not to get it wet in London and use the raincoat provided. She then asked if there’s anything I wanted and suggested bag charms. At this point I was getting greedy, and asked for wallets, hoping for a to go of some sorts. Went downstairs, she showed me a rodeo ✅, and other charm, and a Kelly small wallet. I kindly replied that I don’t use wallets inside my bags, but would be interested in a Kelly to go… she didn’t check her phone for stock and brought us over to twillies. We checked out and dh said bye to the SA who helped him made an appt in hopes to get a business card lol.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, so please remove or redirect me if needed! When I was last in Paris I got the business card of the SA who helped us around the store and got us a leather appointment as walk ins. I have kept in touch with them since via phone and have recently asked for help to get some items I can’t get locally. During the last phone call they said that when I’m next in Paris I should let them know in advance so that they could clear their schedule or arrange their days off to assist me in store and help me with anything I want there. I’m planning my next trip and was wondering whether the SAs who are not primarily in the leather department would be able to offer regular customers bags when they see them on appointments one to one? My initial assumption was yes, as I assume even in Paris they must have regular customers. But you never know with Paris so I thought I’d ask here!

Experiences greatly vary on the thread. Most have said no, but a few others have had different experiences. Don’t have any expectations, and perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised. Good luck and happy shopping  IMO, it is very important to tell them well in advance (i made my appointment when I made my travel arrangements)

We have quite a few members with long term FSH SA relationships whom get bag offers this way, though most started years ago prepandemic. It’s case by case, client by client. The only person who can answer this for you is the SA.

I have a go-to SA at Sevres who can squeeze me in for the appointment, assuming I let him know in advance. But there's no guaranteed for bags, just like how things are in the US, it's up to the SM on whether not they're allowed to offer a specific bag to a client. There were a few times when my SA told me before the trip that he won't be able to offer me any bags and that I would have better chance going through the lottery system, and then a few times he surprised me with quota bags that I didn't ask for.

I only have the name of the SA who served me during the leather appointment. How shall I contact the SA again if I go to Paris next time? Anyone has an experience could share please?

Unless the SA gave you her card and invited you to make an future appt with her personally, you cannot circumvent the leather lottery system. My reply to @BirkinBish that you quoted was for a very different set of circumstances.

Thank you all - I appreciate your replies! Most of what you guys mentioned was as expected. I’ll be talking to my SA again when they’re back from their holiday! I’m planning the trip for the beginning of next year so I’m hoping that will be enough in terms of time. :) I also planned on asking quite candidly whether they would be able to assist me with a leather appointment as well and will send a wishlist if the reply is positive!
