Is there any good food recommendations near Sèvres or FSH? Going soon! Hoping to keep my DH and baby fed and happy while I shop.
Sevres - The Brasserie Lutetia at the Hotel Lutetia next door is lovely. Le Grande Epicerie (high end grocery store/food hall next to Le Bon Marche) has many options as well.

FSH - Jardin D'Hiver at the Crillon is wonderful.

Hello Ladies!

Baby was feeling much better this morning and we were able to make it as a family to the George V store. I gave the SA my wishlist, which was a Kelly size 28 or 25 in neutral colors. The SA went away and came back shortly after and said no B or K and offered me a bolide.
Glad to hear your baby is better! And sorry you didn’t get the bag. It’s only proves how much it is a lottery really, enjoy your family time in Paris and I am sure your Kelly will find you soon!

I would like share my experience hunting for my DREAM BAG. It’s mini Kelly, Birkin 35, Constance 18, Picotin 18 or even Evelyne TPM in GHW, noir or gold in colour. I am a male in my early 30 from Indonesia.
I used to love fashion and luxury brands. And I started to buy every luxury brand in Europe, Paris specifically since it is very cheap compare to buy it in my home country.

My journey started this year. When I went to Paris on May. I could buy the bags from reseller without having to booked my flight tickets, accommodations etc. But the idea of having your dream bag from the stores in Paris would be different story. Since it was from here.

So I went to Paris on May. Buying My first sandal in Hermes, hoping to get the appointment. But unfortunately I didn’t get any. And second time around, in mid July. I decided to try again. Went to Paris and several cities in France to try my luck. Because I knew all three stores in Paris required an online appointment. I started to think trying my luck in another cities. So I went to Lyon, buying another sandal there before asking for the bag. And got nothing. Went to Nice, Cannes, St Tropez, and even Monaco. All they are saying “NO BAGS”.
For the last time I tried my luck in Paris. Buying bracelets, perfumes and shoes. And still got no any leather appointment.

To be honest, I was confused how could I get my dream bag. I feel like all of my efforts are useless. :(

For bags birkin Kelly Constance the système is global they can see you purchases but not the other items just bags. Few persons had the confirmation by SA including me.
I live in Paris now and have an extensive (lol.....) history in the US and UK. My French SA can't see it, but he can see my history in the EU.

Sorry to hear that!
Did they say no bags at all or none in your colors?
Black and Gold are extremely popular so go fast! On top of that the manufactures are closed in August. I think September will be better then?
I know it’s frustrating…

Grace and Cafe Varenne on Rue du Bac. Varenne has a nice back room for kids. But to stay on topic I actually really like the food AT the Sevres store, and the cafe is nicely secluded for a husband and baby.

The answers:

“We have no bags at all“
“Do you have H bag before? Which colour? I try to check. * 10 mins later * so sorry we do not have any bag”
“WE HAVE NO BAG, NOTHING… NOTHING… SO MANY PEOPLE COME HERE. WE HAVE NO BAGS”
“Unfortunately I have nothing to offer for you”
“I am so sorry sir the production of the bag is very limited, and the demand is very high. So have nothing in stock.”
“We don’t have any bags right now”

Really? What do they sell then?
I saved my money only to get ‘a bag’. I am the customer. But their marketing system made it feels like impossible to get one.

It would be different story if I was a Bryanboy maybe. I hate this kind of thing. They make us suffer in getting what we want.

I was wondering do they train all of their SA to lie? Do the SAs feeling guilty in telling a lie? Most of the SAs are heartless even after hearing my stories. They just do not care.

And one thing when I was in Montecarlo, Monaco (the epicenter of rich ppl). I saw someone getting a B25, Noir, GHW. Unboxed in front of my eyes as I entered the store. But then the SA said they have no bag. BS!

If you are Hermes SA and you are reading this. Ask the forgiveness from God! You have no idea how much pain and misery you put myself into in my journey to get H bags. I swear to God it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Kim, there’s people that are dying.

(That was a Kardashians quote for reference.) I’m sure it isn’t fun for SA’s either, to have to turn down customers. Everyone would be happier if there were plenty of bags to go around. But then, Hermes bags might not be so coveted if they were plentiful.

@periogirl28 , I have no idea if this is the cafe I was thinking about; I found a business card: L’envue 39, rue Boissy d’Anglas 75008 (It could be something else entirely; but I don’t normally take any restaurant cards)

if this is the cafe, I’m not saying it’s anything special. DH took me there to calm down before my appt. They were friendly. they didn’t blink an eyelash when they saw me, an overly excitable tourist refusing to order even a coffee lol

now I’m doubting my memory of that day; I thought it was on the same block. IDK
Am sorry your appt was so stressful. I do tend to be slightly excited in anticipation of mine. Normally have breakfast and see my SA first thing while DH/ DS sleep in and go off on their own to enjoy Paris, (parks, museums etc) or to Disneyland. Tips for those with families who might not all want to be waiting all day at any Hermes while in Paris.
Bread n Roses was recommended by my SA and I meet many of the H staff there often. I don't think I have been to L'Envue yet.
The cafe at Sevrés is always nice.

I am so sorry that you had this experience. Know that you are the only person who can determine your worth. Not others and certainly not a “luxury designer.”

The entire system in Paris is set up to allow for Hermes personnel to discriminate against customers by choosing who they may deem worthy of purchasing a bag. That is the definition of treating someone differently based on their appearance, including race. I think that we will all see in a few years that this rude and inequitable treatment cannot be sustained and Hermes will eventually face consequences for harboring and promoting that type of behavior. And I feel sorry for the SAs.
I beg to differ.. there’s tons of customers everyday. How are they gonna differentiate who to offer and who not to? There’s no perfect system. But I always feel treat pple with respect and be polite and understanding, in short “be nice”. Good things will come your way. Discrimination is a very harsh word to use.

I have purchases for myself and my wife be it in luxury brands Hermes Chanel etc and even luxury watches from ADs with decent success in Europe and in our home stores and by no means I am a big spender.
