Is KTG/CTG considered a bag or SLG in Paris?
I watched her video on appointment experience and she said that one lady was questioned by 2 SAs at FSH because she was sitting by herself (waiting for her Appt) while her husband was in another part of the store, apparently the fact that the couple wasn't together physically appeared suspicious to the SAs ('maybe they're trying to get 2 bags?'). If this is true, it's ridiculous.
My husband and I have each gotten a bag at the same appointment, I have gone alone, he has gone alone when on business and there was no issue. I think it is just so random and they just decide who fits their “mold”

On my first appointment my husband and I both got bags and they even offered him exotic leather birkin and kelly this was in 2017 but since the online system started they are more strict. We actually had an appointment twice together and decided to go alone and not to interact in the store because they will always think we are resellers which we are not. I normally buy bags for myself, my mum and sisters so it make more since to have two appointments.
Another thing is the first time i was offered a bag at FSH i was so young and wasn't sure if i want to spend that much my mum told me in our language you can always sell it later and the SA understood and was laughing and said thats true, this means they dont care if some are resellers.

A friend of mine had an appointment arranged through a friend of a friend and booked a weekend trip just to score a bag, this was two weeks ago. She said she was offered all type of bags but no birkin or kelly, she was very annoyed as she wanted a mini kelly in croc and they said this is impossible. After waiting for more than 2 hours the SA said said that she will speak to the manager and see if they could do something to make her happy, she was then offered a kelly danse.

Gosh.. don’t think a kelly danse is of any consolation at all

All this points to my strong sentiment to avoid Paris and shop in my home store. I spent a fair bit of time in Paris recently and avoided walking into any of the H stores there. To be fair I was more captivated by the many sights to see in Paris!

This. We were in Paris as part of a three-week family trip to France and Italy to celebrate our son’s middle school graduation and I did not want any stress over Hermes appointments to take away from that. I did carve out time to visit Cartier and VCA (but that was on my schedule so it was easy to fit in). I also dislike the thought of needing to “prove” myself by dressing up (I dress super casual on holidays unless it’s for fancy dinners) or chatting up an SA who has no interest in getting to know me.

I did end up dropping by the George V store as it was close to our hotel on a day when lines were short but didn’t end up getting anything. (George V was lovely though and the male SA was really nice and even tried to locate a coat from last winter that I’d missed out on.) I actually had more success shopping at CDG airport but that was pretty random as we happened to get there super early and got through detax and immigration much faster than expected.

Actually last year when i was in paris the SA told me its now harder to get a kelly danse and mini kelly than it is to get a birkin 25 or kelly 25.
Just because something is rare, doesn’t make it desirable. Regardless this person sounds really entitled and I feel badly for the SAs that have to deal with customers like this and find it frustrating that they gave in with any offer.

Thanks, I’m glad someone said it.
+1 with @a_b_c and @acrowcounted

an appt, even if it is arranged outside the lottery system, through a friend of a friend, and presumably some type of VIP consideration, does not entitle one to a bag of their choosing. Also, if I had been the origin of the connection, in other words, the original friend, I would be a bit embarrassed. This is JMO; maybe the original person doesn’t care; and YMMV.

I also would not personally fly to France just for an H appt, but that’s only my own feeling.
