I think the lottery system has gone crazy. No wonder the number of applications in the system has increased since people have started to apply without even being in Paris/France and the use of multiple passports etc. I wonder if they will eventually cancel this system and start going on purchase history, customer relationship or offer to walk-ins at the discretion of the SAs.

I am confident that last week in was between 2-3k/day. The SA was a more senior manager and said that directly.
With all honesty, I don’t think it’s that low. Since there’s many pple who didn’t have successful appts. I had success thru online appt in Nov but not in May and June. My wife who hasn’t been to PAris for the longest time and she has purchase history there didn’t get any in May and June too. And with the number of pple going to the 3 stores daily, you can tell for sure it’s not 2-3k per day by simple mathematics.

Sure, except, unless people are using a VPN or something of that nature, I’m sure they can see from what country people are applying.

furthermore, it seems only reasonable that they give the appointments in the “lottery” to people with a higher spend in France.

Even if people do apply from outside of Europe, with the emails sometimes arriving between midnight-1a, it seems very unlikely that people would be able to fly to France in time from North America, Asia, etc. (outside of Europe) to make an appointment time. For argument’s sake, maybe for Monday appointments this would work as one would find out on Saturday evening. Either way, the 2-3k/day is not static as they are not getting the same 2-3k/day. If 100 people/ day are getting appointments at FSH, I would assume that 25% are being offered “the good bags”.

I realize my experience is just one of thousands, but I have applied for an appointment while still in the US and received one. I wouldn’t consider my spending high, but moderate yet steady over the last 10 years.

i was there at the end of last week, when everyone had mostly arrived for HCFW or was lingering from Men’s FW (and still got a Kelly and a few other bags). I think it comes down to whether your spend is good enough there and/or if they “like you”. If for a walk in, you’re at the mercy of the “gate ke

I have used FSH as my main store for a few years as I am in Europe very often, so it has always made sense for me.

I think there is merit in shopping at ones’ home store as when you think about it- a business/first class flight + hotel for at least a few days + meals. It doesn’t really make sense to fly to Paris just for the purposes of getting a bag. If one is going just to score a bag, would probably make sense to go in November, early December (avoiding Christmas), mid- Jan (avoiding any time around CNY), and February as long as not clashing with any PFW dates.

This. Our business/first tickets cost more than a birkin. The cost of our five star hotels exceed the cost of multiple birkins. No savings buying in France.

Maybe this shared experience is interesting for you.

I watched her video on appointment experience and she said that one lady was questioned by 2 SAs at FSH because she was sitting by herself (waiting for her Appt) while her husband was in another part of the store, apparently the fact that the couple wasn't together physically appeared suspicious to the SAs ('maybe they're trying to get 2 bags?'). If this is true, it's ridiculous.
