I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

The fates owe you one heckofa nice bag from FSH. If you don't get it directly from FSH can you buy one from a reputable reseller? I know from experience that --- and it's often enough said in this thread -- that the bags you may be offered, nice as they are, may not be your grail.
This is so sweet of you to say, I am actually returning to Paris in July for 3 days during my birthday (50! Yikes), so fingers crossed. I’ll think of your message while there.

I'm glad my grail comments are helpful and I hope you have a terrific time in Paris. What a great way to celebrate your birthday.

The stores are so packed now that even Sèvres had lines to wait for an SA to help with shoes and RTW and then a separate line upstairs to wait for everything else. Even basic scarves are out of stock. However, they do have the latest season Oasis (purple and green) that’s suede on top and an ombré polycarbonate heel. Met a really lovely SA who gave me champagne in a metallic flute (he says it tastes better that way) and who asked to exchange WhatsApp so I can go back to shop with him next week. Felt much more fun to shop there than at FSH.

Thanks! I’ll ask but don’t want to pay excessively if they don’t really have the ability
Hi,

I can say with certainty that hotel concierges still have the ability to book appointments. I had an arranged appointment last month and I have two upcoming appointments in July and September. I have also had several friends who have secured appointments this month via the hotels. There are many that can offer this service (Sofitel, Bristol, Bulgari, Four Seasons, Prince de Galle). The hotels have limited ability to book these so you will need to be flexible with timing and you will most likely need to be a hotel VIP.

I would not book a hotel just to get an appointment, unless you are happy to pay the cost of a quota bag for your stay. My suggestion book the hotel that you want to stay, for the time that you want to stay. Once booked inquire with the concierge about an appointment. If they tell you that they cannot do so then one of two things either 1) you are staying at a hotel that does not have the connections or 2) your stay does not meet the criteria for them to use one of their limited appointments.

Hmm ok! Yea we were thinking of staying at prince de galle (my friend has stayed there and liked it a lot) and she has concierge information from her visits so hopefully it helps. But regardless, excited to enjoy Paris in September :)

Hi,

The Prince de Galle arranged my appointment last month, so this is certainly a possibility. This is one of my favourite hotels in Paris the location can't be beat, it has a lovely breakfast offering. I will be there for two weeks in Sept so maybe our paths will cross!
Yes! Maybe we will. I’m leaving my husband at home and doing a girls trip, hoping for luck in Paris with Hermès, but I have a lovely SA in my hometown so if it doesn’t happen it’s ok.

This is really helpful - thanks for sharing. How far in advance should you request an appointment via the concierge? Can you do this ahead of your stay (by email)? Also, is there a difference in the bags you are offered at Hermes through a hotel appointment vs when you get an online appointment (through registering on their website)? Thanks.

We went to fsh at 10.30am to check with the hostess as my spouse didn’t receive an appointment rejection. Requested for a walk in appointment but the nice lady told me it’s full today. It was our last day before we travel to other parts of eu. While we were waiting to book a taxi to head elsewhere (still at the slg area), about 2-3 mins later the hostess quietly approach us and whispered, I can slot you in for an appointment we have an opening. The sa came by very shortly and we proceed upstairs.
Options on the preferred bag specs were shared. The male SA told us all mini bags were in low supply. He also asked about all the bags my spouse already owns in detail right up to colour and hw.
Drinks were offered to us while we waited. About 15-20’mins later, he came back with 2 boxes and told us to wait while he arranged to bring us to level 2.
The first offer was a HSS black and white b25 in ghw and second offer was an ostrich p18 in Gris meyer. We were allowed to take both offers as an exception due to Mother’s Day.
Its truly a lucky and magical encounter. Now we can look forward to the prearranged appt in June!
Congrats! Such special bags to be offered on a walk in appointment. Did both your spouse and yourself try for the online appointment during your time in Paris? I wonder if getting an online appointment (if ever so lucky) will somehow undermine chances at any prearranged appointment with an SA for later part of the trip if the SA sees that you have managed to snag an appt earlier on, whether or not any qb has been offered during that appt. I also have an appointment scheduled with my SA which is happening mid trip, and can't quite decide if I should try for online appts or not before my scheduled one in case I actually am so lucky to get one but end up with an unhelpful SA who shows me nothing but somehow thwarts my chances at getting anything good from my SA when she sees that I have already been at the store few days before with another leather appt.

If you already have arranged an appointment with your SA, I suggest you do your shopping with him/her. I consider you fortunate to have an established SA to work with in Paris.

I personally think it would be best to just attend your confirmed appt with your SA (especially since not many SA's are giving out their info/arranging many appts anymore). Better not to risk it and the better rapport you build with your SA, the better items they'll make sure they keep just for you :)
