So I called them up and they said I need to make the appt through the website again. Not sure I’m going to be able to get another appt. Bummed out but safety first. I got the appt on 2nd try.
Similar thing happened to me: I secured an appointment on my August 2021 trip to Paris for my first day (yes I knew it was risky but I had to try). Unfortunately travel was still limited at the time and the day of my outbound flight, my direct flight got rescheduled and I was rebooked on a connecting flight, so I wouldn’t arrive in Paris until 4pm or so instead of 9am. Anyhow long story short, I missed the appointment (I did let Hermes know), and I tried for appointments the remainder of my trip with no luck. I returned to Paris last month (April 2022), friends and I all tried to secure appointments during the week. None of us had any luck. I feel I lost my big one in a million chance with that last missed appointment and will never secure one again (sad!).

I used to have good shopping experiences in George V store before the pandemic and this week is the first time I am back to Paris since the pandemic. The service in George V became so terrible that I will never go back to this store again.

I emailed my SA in George V 2 weeks before my trip and got an automatic email response that she is on the vacation and will be back to office right before my arrival to Paris. I was happy initially as it's always nice to see some familiar face in Paris and also we were locked in the store due to yellow vest protest last time we shopped there that this store has a special meaning to our memory. I didn't receive any response from her and I assumed she might be busy catching up emails given she was just back from vacation.

My husband and I went to George V store on Tuesday to see if she was in the store. I didn't plan to buy any bags this trip so I didn't bother to make a reservation in advance. Just want to say hi to her and buy a few RTW/wallets I have in mind. There was a line in front of the George V. I waited in line while my husband went to the store to check if my SA was working on that day. He came back telling me that he was told my SA was not in the store and might come to the store the next day. I don't think it makes sense to come again the next day if we are not certain my SA will be in the store so I went into the store to check with the SA in the front door. She replied exactly same information as my husband told me. I tried to explain to her that I would like to say hi to my SA again that it would be greatly appreciated if she could tell me exactly which day she will be working in the store this week. Again, I got the same answer that she doesn't know(and doesn't bother to check).

Feeling disappointed, we still decided to come back to the store on Wed as we thought it might be just a one-time bad experience. There was still a line in front of the store. We didn't waste our time lining up this time and went into the store to check with the front door SA who is a different person from yesterday. She coldly/impatiently replied that my SA has been transferred to back office that she doesn't serve customers anymore. I wish they could have told me this information on Tuesday! We left the store right away.

Our hotel is close to FSH store so we also visited this store on both Tuesday and Wed. There was no line for FSH store on both days and I got a few items on my list with more pleasant experience. Sorry for the long post. I understand SAs in George V are overwhelmed with tourists but I just feel that they don't have the basic courtesy for their customers anymore.

Meeting up with a friend at fsh! Her appt was at noon, mine is now (3pm)

This trip, I only had a pochette in mind. I just scored my Cargo b25 from fsh in February, so I wanted to save my b/k quota for later this year.
I accompanied my friend for her appt (owner of the gorgeous hima) and she asked for similar items. Her SA told her pochettes were “all sold out” and I became disheartened for my appt as it was 3 hours later. 3pm comes along and my hopes for a pochette are zero to none. I asked for a pochette along with other items. My SA walks away for a while and comes back with three boxes. You know the usual game: they show you all the other things first before offering the bag. He was very direct and showed me the pochette first!

I was so happy, but unfortunately it was a nata phw. I already have a nata kp ghw so I had to decline. All of a sudden, another SA comes up to my SA and asks for my pochette since I declined it.

The woman near me had been intently snooping on my appointment with my SA. My SA asked if I’m okay with switching to a private room, which I was fine with. Apparently, this woman was listening to my appt and forced her SA to ask for the pochette I declined. Not only that, she was TAKING PHOTOS OF ME AND MY OFFERS.

I can’t believe how shameless people are. If you’re at fsh, please don’t do this. Sure, it’s fine to be curious on other clients’ offers. Don’t be aggressive to the point where you interrupt someone else’s appt. You put your SA and the other SA in an uncomfortable situation. You ruin someone else’s experience, and you definitely ruin your own if you keep comparing someone else’s offer to your own. I’d like to note that she was not offered my pochette despite her brazenness. I’m not even sure if she got a b/k offer because she was relocated to a different area of the store.

Just as my friend’s SA said no pochettes available and I was offered one. There are inner workings and politics at H that we don’t understand. You should take everything in stride and not question the sincerity of your SA by saying, “but I saw her get xyz.”

I left with gorgeous pochette in a new color that I’ll share in 2022 bag offers later!

I'm in Paris on holiday (no appointment sadly). I went to FSH and Sevres today and yesterday, and honestly they're both just chaos. I think I witnessed at least half a dozen meltdowns over appointments and one woman in Sevres just refused to leave the store until someone helped her (she just sat in the leather department asking every SA who walked past). Worst thing - I think they gave her an appointment in the end.

Stock is terrible across the board as well - London is far better for non-bag stock imo. Good luck out there ladies!

This pic, and your other one, in le Marais, both make me so happy! I smile when I see them! Thank you for sharing :D

I think I might have seen you if you were at CP in London third week in February, but I did not want to interrupt :) I was pondering whether to get an etoupe geta but in the end I decided it wasn’t my style.

So unfortunate that happened to you. I feel like that is the one thing that can guarantee will happen no matter the store. :frown:

Reminds me of the one time I was at a store to pick up a new item and someone picked up my current bag while I was away for a second and I could not hear but I assumed they were asking if they could buy it.

Then when I left I was told by my SA that they were interested in the item I picked up becuase it was hard to find at the time. I just thought it was kinda odd that they were eyeing what I had and asked their SA if they could buy it if I returned it. I didn’t think much about it just thought it was funny and so weird of them.

I can’t imagine how bad it must be with Hermes and can’t believe how shameless people can be. Wow

Wow, manners. I don’t understand why it is so hard to fathom that some customers have a longer or better history and get offered things for which others, like me, are not yet eligible.

If I were a top client of the house for many many years, naturally the SAs and SMs would be authorized to offer coveted items that are not available to new clients.

And, re the customer indignation of an SA ‘lying’ that something is not available, I ascribe that to 1. The disorganization of the store (which I have witnessed firsthand); and, 2. The corporate policy, neither of which can be the fault of the SA. I do not think a client would prefer an honest statement that they are not, or could never be, VIP enough to obtain x.

(Excuse my grammar; it has gotten worse as I grow older).

Query to anyone here: are there better months to go to FSH for RTW only? In other words, the months two times a year where the collections are most plentiful? at this point, I find it ludicrous that my local SA/ SM are doing a world search for a current collection RTW item. Or, is RTW charge send available internationally from FSH?

I am so sorry this happened to you...

I have heard terrible stories from my SA, that some random people would claim to be another client's friend and ask for a leather appointment, where the original client does NOT know that person at all! Think about how those people got the client's information at the first place!
I am guessing there are people who *observe, listen to and then take notes* of clients who receive offers.
This TERRIFIES me
I think better security measures should be carried out at Paris stores... people are going too far to just get a bag... and I think those are resellers
