I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Thanks Dear. In your recent offered quota bags? Did you buy other things as well after you got offered. just a thought since establishing purchase history is not recommended?
this was not addressed to me but to @scndlslv. But I will take a stab at answering. I think it depends on what you want. If you are solely after QB, then many on this thread rightly advise sticking to your home store. @periogirl28 also suggested that FSH prefers clients who buy broadly in other categories, and sole fixation on QB is bound to fail at FSH. (paraphrased to the best of my recollection). i liked the atmosphere of FSH, and I made a RTW appt with the SA for the next day. I ended up purchasing three dresses out of the selection the SA curated for me. Although her card indicated Maison Specialist, she said that she could help me storewide the few times a year I can get to Paris. I didn’t make the RTW appt with a motive with the intent of establishing a path to another QB. i actualy love RTW, and FSH seems to have a broader buy than my home store. JMO and YMMV.

@cad33, it’s possible that your local store may have some bags for try on purposes. That is how I tried on a B25.

Just wanted to pop in and provide some updates regarding some recent experiences. Previously I posted about scoring bags in Paris last summer and call and I think it all just comes down to luck and timing. I have since been to Paris 3 times since my last post for work purposes and the experiences were all pretty different.

Visit 1, December 2021 - I applied online 3 times, no appointment. I did walk in on my last day and bought some items but they were smaller items. I inquired about an appointment and was told nothing was available and to try the online appointment system. I wasn’t expecting much since it was near Christmas…so it didn’t bother me.

Visit 2, February 2022 - I applied online twice, no appointment. I didn’t walk in at all since I had low expectations…I did walk by the store a few times and it seemed very busy.

Visit 3, March 2022 - this was fashion week. I applied online 4 times, no appointment. I did walk in this time on my second to last full day (Friday) since I was after a few items for my sister that she had asked me to look at for her. I figured it was better to do it on a Friday than a Saturday since Saturdays can be so busy. Made what I thought was a sizeable purchase (4 figures) and after confirming my purchases, I asked about a handbag appointment. My SA asked the appointment hostess and she checked and could see that I had applied a few times without success, so she offered to make me an appointment for the next day at 11am. At my appointment, I asked about B and Ks, as well as evelyne’s and picotins. Told there was no B or K but I was able to get a gold picotin.

I think we can all agree that many more people are interested in Hermes nowadays, especially with all the price increases happening on competitor brands. And many people want to score their first B or K in Paris so it just makes it that much harder to get an appointment.

hope that helps! I have a few more business trips coming up and will let you all know of any updates or new experiences.

good luck to all!

If I’m not mistaken, cad33 shares the same Toronto homestore as I do and sadly no b/k/c on display or for size references
I asked and the response was “oh no no no, we don’t have any”
Good luck @cad33, wishing u an appointment and the bag of your dreams (a touch dramatic for effect :happydance:)

Thanks book worm and my sa told me that they have no bags to even try for size options such as picotin and she hasn’t seen a jypsiere in our store in over 4 years. I would like to try some of the larger K options but even other bags since I don’t want to add them to my wishlist till I know they will suit me.

Crossing my fingers for an appointment but just excited to see better stock and unique h items that our store doesn’t purchase.

Sounds like a magical trip@880. There is something seasonless with their RTW, especially the leather garments. I think it's b/c the leather garments for women are cut with geometric shapes. (I'm thinking of this scarf which I saw on H.com today (but evidently sold out). It's called, "A garden of shapes" by British artist Nigel Peake. To me that's what H leather garments are about.

1647407124175.png I saw a Chanel retrospective at FIT in New York years ago. Chanel worked with shapes in the Deco era and this clothing had a lasting impact on contemporary fashion. Perhaps H is deriving a contemporary expression of shapes in the most modern of fabrics, leather.

The question about whether stocks at FSH are higher or lower at certain times of the year has cropped up repeatedly. I am sure that artisan is right when she says summer holidays should not affect the deliveries directly. Artisans tend to take most of their annual leave during the summer months off especially in August when schools close and many shops and businesses including my fave deli shut down. Those who are not affected by school terms might decide to go away later in September, when the weather is still generally nice and vacation prices are not as high. It varies. However my FSH SAs have always told me that bags available to walk in clients are lowest in summer and highest at Christmas and I believe them. Now this part I am assuming, as they never went as far to confirm it, but FSH might allocate only a certain number of bags available to be offered to new clients daily. If this is so then even if it is true there was always bags in the dungeon, the number of chances of getting the right one offered to a new client is lowest then. As the SAs themselves are always, so fewer appointments are possible, fewer bags allocated and slower delivery replacements by the artisans who are away. So it's logical that anyone who wants a highest chance of being offered a bag as walk-in client would choose not to visit during summer. Needless to say those with long purchase histories would probably always have multiple bags offered and some would be collecting their reservations and SOs while others are offered exotics, runway bags, Limited Edition seasonal bags, which generally are not offered to first time clients. I hope this helps. I would probably try to confirm this when I next meet my SAs in person.

Jypsiere was discontinued in 2010 when John Paul Gaultier left Hermes.
I believe they are still making them, the current prices thread has recent purchases from January.
I think I saw one on the Norway site recently, but the link is no longer working.

The Shoulder Birkin got cancelled, too. And maybe that was when the Paris Bombay bag ended (Boy, did I get a sales pitch for that one: If you don't get it now, you'll never see it again).

Hi, I'm almost there!!! almost 200 online appointments requests with no appointments LOL.
it is now 172 appointment requests in total (both my husband and I combined with 2 phone numbers).
I wonder if I will get a Guinness World Record of no appointments when I reach 200 trials? :-P

hi, if I’m going to Paris on 20th July , do I start trying to get an appointment online now ?
