Im in paris since Wednesday, applied for an appointment everyday for both me and my husband but got rejected everyday ! 10 times in total, 5 each and nothing.
Me too !!! Except I live there and I’m French (so French passport number). I don’t understand now it’s hard even for locals . I also tried directly from the boutique et got rejected too in the 3 boutiques !

I would try heading into the boutique just to browse at other things after 10 rejections. And if you come across anything you like while browsing I’d buy it and then bring up this topic of leather appointments with your SA. I’m currently on 2x rejects and this is what I would do after 5 more times :graucho:

Yes but be careful ! In Paris there are specific SA per department… Means if you connect with an SA at accessories department, he/she can’t offer you any bag… If the SA is in a good mood he can ask for you to coworkers in leather department, but nothing is sure. If you’re lucky you can find one who usually work in leather in another department but it’s rare :(

I have to point out that this isn’t correct information. My SA works in a non-leather department and I get my bags through her. All SAs can offer bags subject to manager approval.

update: I had the WORST experience at FSH. Basically I was told to go back today at 3:30 then the app said 6:15 when I received a confirmation text this morning so I went at 3:30 as I was told yesterday. I explained the situation and the leather appointments lady cancelled my appointment there and then. She said they were simply too busy and that it was a Saturday. I explained and showed my confirmation text etc and the lady said that ‘it wasn’t her problem’ and that she was in charge of appointments and simply there was nothing possible.

I tried later in the day at Sevres and had a fantastic experience after the appointments manager initially tried to say they did not have anything or anybody available. I walked away with a tpm and a few other pieces. The SA that helped me gave me her card and told me to email her directly next time to arrange an appointment so it turned out to be ok in the end.

DO SAs give you their cards? I shopped at FSH last week and the SA helped me said they don't give out cards to customers... Maybe she just didn't want to be bothered..?

Flew from terminal 2A at CDG yesterday and found a beautiful Lindy 26 in Craie clemence taurillon leather with GHW.

Worth noting that they had plenty of different styles (Picotin, Evelyne, 24) available but was only allowed to buy one bag.
By any chance did you happen to see what colors were available in the Evelyne?

I have already bought the items i really want, but i will pass by tomorrow to see if there is any availability. My husband and I haven’t traveled alone together since 2019, So i didnt want to waste our time in paris at hermes. But he also want me to have a bag, so we will pass by and see.

Yes SA’s do give out cards but only if they are looking to take on new clients or need you to contact them later to respond to an enquiry. The SA at Sevres gave hers to me without me asking as did the ones at Chanel so I think it is pot luck.

I am briefly back in Paris for work this time and wanted to give everyone an update. I happen to be staying at Four Seasons George V and based on what others have said, tried to inquire about an appointment (I heard that the hotel concierge is able to assist with getting an appointment at the George V location). Unfortunately, they told me they are unable to secure an appointment and that the only way to request an appointment is through the online system. Perhaps I am not a VIP client/hotel guest lol or maybe they are no longer able to assist with appointments. Who knows. As usual, this whole thing seems to be a mystery to us all haha.

Sharing my experience at Sèvres boutique today:

Walked in on a whim - no leather appts or known SA’s. Don’t have any significant purchase history under my name yet either.

For the first 20-30 mins that I was browsing nobody came up to me. After a few more mins of waiting by the shoes dept an SA finally approached me to ask what I was looking for. She ended up finding me the Oran sandals I was looking for in the color I wanted as well as a few other colors (which I turned down). My mom was interested in the throw blankets so I browsed the home section for a bit afterwards while the SA took my info and put the shoes under my account so that I could pay for them when I was done shopping.

I went upstairs and looked at the scarves and accessories section some more and then took a break sipping on some tea and desserts at the cafe there. Once I was done I went to the help desk(?) on the main floor right next to the scarfs. A different SA came up to me this time to ask how she can help me and I told her I had a pair of shoes waiting for me that I want to pay for. While we were walking downstairs to get the shoes, I asked her if it’d be possible for her to look for a bag I’m searching for, even though I don’t have a leather appt because the bag itself isn’t made of leather (lol). She said yes sure and went to double check with her manager to see if it’s alright for her to look for that bag for me (cabas H en biais 40). I waited around for 10ish minutes before she turned up with a box, which contained the smaller version of the cabas H en biais in the classic gold/ecru combo. I told her I was looking for the larger size so she went back for a few more minutes before coming out with a giant box this time.

When she unveiled it I was so excited because I’d been interested in this bag since I saw it in the SS21 promo photos!! And not a lot of people know about this bag so seeing it in person was even better. I was sure I wanted to take this bag to use for work (fits my 17inch MacBook). I also asked if there were any rodeos/pegasus, and she ultimately showed me all the options she could find but I didn’t love any of them so I said I’ll wait to check the stocks of the other boutiques.

Overall, loved my experience at Sèvres - totally unexpected bag score!
Hopefully I’ll also be able to secure a leather appt at FSH before I leave Paris at the end of the month:blush:
