I find that the SA’s whom my husband and I have interacted with at Sevres are nice, even more so than our experience in the US. I’m sure everyone’s individual experience can vary though..
 
Not to worry. They generally accept the CDC vaccine card and your passport but you can also get your CDC card uploaded into a valid QR code at certain pharmacies. I went to the one at 2 Blvd Filles du Calvaire and they easily converted my card to a QR code and you just scan that code into the TousAntiCovid app. I had previously emailed everything to the email they set up for the US but never received anything back.

I got mine from a Safeway and I already got the QR code from them. Do you think they will accept that in Paris, are they same? That could be a dumb question, but I am clueless about that stuff.

The American QR code does not work to be scanned in France. I tried to PM you the exact link I used but because I’m a new member it didn’t seem to let me. I’ll pass on some pearls I learned from people on my flight. There’s a blog called Paris by Mouth that has a whole article on the pass sanitaire and I read it to find the pharmacie I used (which had other Americans in there doing the same thing.) You can Google Paris by Mouth health pass and it should be the first link that shows up. Hopefully that helps you! The pharmacie I went to is one of the few that knows how to convert CDC cards into EU QR codes. The good thing about that is that it’s valid when you show it in other EU countries since it’s harmonized. I also visited Italy and showed my pass sanitaire on my app and it scanned with a green check mark every time. Good luck!

I did this over 10 days from my trip and it never came back, even now that I’m back in the US. My sister also did not receive her QR code via this application. In fact the French govt just emailed me today saying they are receiving an overload of requests and they have a new process where you have to go online to create an account.

I got the same email! Even though I already got my Health Pass from them :/ not sure if they want me to reapply or something

Yes I saw that they now have on online application...at the link I shared above. Hoping that the online application will make the process smoother!

I hope so, but what I know from applying for a student visa there and also living there for a few years is that you can’t always count on the French government to give you what you need in time. Hoping it works for the majority who apply, but for those who don’t get their QR code via email in time for their trip, check out the French pharmacies who know how to convert the CDC vaccine card.
 
Has anybody had an appointment just before closing time? I’m worried as I’ve been allocated a slot 15 mins before closing and wonder whether it will simply be a case of “sorry no can do” or whether I’ll still get the opportunity to shop properly.

Yes I had in July and when the SA went back from the back, she said “sorry there is no stock it’s the end of the day” and got offered nothing :(

update: I had the WORST experience at FSH. Basically I was told to go back today at 3:30 then the app said 6:15 when I received a confirmation text this morning so I went at 3:30 as I was told yesterday. I explained the situation and the leather appointments lady cancelled my appointment there and then. She said they were simply too busy and that it was a Saturday. I explained and showed my confirmation text etc and the lady said that ‘it wasn’t her problem’ and that she was in charge of appointments and simply there was nothing possible.

I tried later in the day at Sevres and had a fantastic experience after the appointments manager initially tried to say they did not have anything or anybody available. I walked away with a tpm and a few other pieces. The SA that helped me gave me her card and told me to email her directly next time to arrange an appointment so it turned out to be ok in the end.
