I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

From what I understand, the lottery is completely random and previous purchases play no part in getting an appointment. Of course, if you have made some purchases in other departments and developed a rapport with an SA, they might have some sway in getting you an appointment, but the system itself is random.
I will be staying in the 6th for a month and will try to get an appointment via the online system but recognize that it is unlikely that I will have success. So I will also visit my nearest store, Sevres, and make some purchases and, if I'm lucky, develop a relationship with an SA.
BUT I'M NOT HOLDING MY BREATH...and have no expectation of being offered a bag.
Well since you have a month...May the odds be ever in your favour.

Haha! Yes, actually the odds may be in her favor for being there for so long. Another thing to try if you end up getting rejected a number of times is going into the store to tell them that you’ve been rejected X times and see if they can find a way to fit you in. When I told them I had tried online but been rejected, they asked me how many times and then looked online to confirm it. (This was FSH.) It felt like they were almost willing to help if I had been rejected an inordinate number of times. (But it had only been once at the time for me, so nothing too out of the ordinary for them.)

I think Sèvres is super beautiful and loved browsing there but I didn’t think the SAs were very nice. I spoke French to them to see what it would be like if I wasn’t branded as a tourist immediately (I used to live in Paris for many years) but the people I encountered seemed more brusque and ready to say c’est pas possible more than the team at FSH. I didn’t go into Georges V and am curious what that experience is like. What they did tell me at the boutique is to make sure you allow all three stores when you go online and not to select just one store for better luck.
They said that?!

Does anyone know if Faubourg has received any more bag stock since August? I would like to visit again soon though my SA really advised to visit in October instead.
I just got a B35 there last Friday and saw many other people carrying big boxes so I think they probably have plenty of stock. Probably best to take advantage of the fewer number of international tourists right now due to various travel restrictions

Thanks! Our trip is still on. I can’t wait!!

I have been following the updates closely to, I am going in mid September. I am vaccinated as well, and have been since it was first offered. I am concerned about getting the French Health Pass. It looks like there have been some problems with that. We just applied 2 days ago, and now I have read that they are not granting them until you are there, or 3 days before you go. They keep adjusting the application process. Does anyone have any current updates on their experiences?

We’re currently in Paris. I applied for my green pass on 8/14 for my trip starting 8/28, forgot to apply for my husband until few days before the trip. We landed on 8/29 and both got the pass emailed almost at the same time on 8/30. So it looks like they don’t grant it to us until we’re here. For the first couple days, we used our CDC cards with no problem. Hope it helps.

Thank you, I had heard the CDC cards aren't being accepted. I am glad to hear you haven't had a problem.

I would think it better to look at up-to-date Gov guidelines for both French and your country, rather than other people's past experiences, even if hey are hours ago. As you say the legislation keeps changing.

Today’s my 6th day in Paris, signed up for leather appointments and got rejected 5 times so I just walk in FSH store today to check it out. The store is not too crowded. Stocks seem low for all other departments. I got 2 bracelets (one leather and one rose gold). Both SAs told me that I need to make appointment for leather department. I didnt want to be pushy so I just purchased what I like and walked out. I’m still in town for few more days before going to Rome and Venice. Might try my luck there.

Not to worry. They generally accept the CDC vaccine card and your passport but you can also get your CDC card uploaded into a valid QR code at certain pharmacies. I went to the one at 2 Blvd Filles du Calvaire and they easily converted my card to a QR code and you just scan that code into the TousAntiCovid app. I had previously emailed everything to the email they set up for the US but never received anything back.

Hi, I may be posting in the wrong thread so, mods, feel free to relocate my question to a more appropriate one:

Does anyone know of any good luxury consignment stores/vintage secondhand stores in Paris where I would be able to buy vintage Hermes bags?
I’ve purchased a Jypsiere at Collector Square the last time I was there.
