I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I just think it’s bad luck and that Georges v and sevres really didn’t have stocks. Even the stock at FSH is low in August and especially la week as Thursday was a public holiday.
I am Asian too but I think what helped is that I am French and I did talk to the SA a lot about my options. Not just like I want a birkin any size/color

I saw the bicolor picotin in deep blue. There’s some YouTube videos with the new A/W colors
Per your suggestion I looked up You Tube and tracked down a video that was primarily clothing trends. If anyone has a link to a bag video with the new A/W colors, I would really appreciate getting the link.
Thank you, kittynui, for the U tube suggestion.

Thanks everyone for replying and sharing your story! Some really touched my heart and I think it is correct to look at the bright side. At least I’ve got the stuff that I wanted (accessories), and it’s cheaper since I bought it in europe . Even tho my main goal is still the H bag, I will try my luck again somewhere around this year. Thank you for saying nice things too I do appreciate it a lot. I hope someday someone will reply your kindness in someway. ❤️

I've lost the plot: what are they queuing for? Leather goods needs an appointment, so are they unknowingly queuing to be told they need an appointment or are they queuing for entry to other departments?
It could be both. I am not surprised if many tourists still are not aware that they need an appointment for leather goods and even if they know, they might just be trying their luck in getting a cancelled appointment anyway.

I live in Australia and seeing long queues in front of luxury stores like Chanel, Gucci and LV is the norm because the number of customers far outweigh the number of SAs to assist them at busy times so it is very likely the same for Hermes, especially if the store is FSH.

I remember when I visited FSH almost a year ago I had to join the queue as well even though I had an appointment (at 10:30am) simply because a queue was already formed and there was no clear instructions whether one could just ignore the queue and walk straight in if they had an appointment.

I am in Paris, and thought I’d share my experience.
I thought it was the best shopping experience I had in a long time. Thanks to this blog. I tried for an appointment before leaving for Paris, I got an appointment on the 3rd try for 10:30 am. The securit guard sends everyone upstairs. All SA are lined up and they pair you with one, after you check in. The SA sits you down and asks what your interested in. I told her I wanted a Evelyne TPM, told her my color choices. I then went to tell her my choices for a B and K. Went down the list, I was very honest. She asked what my first choice would be, I told her a black Kelly 25 or 28. The SA walked away. I was sitting next to a women I met in line, and we chatted for about 10 minutes. Her SA brought her to a room, and I overheard him tell her he had several choices for her. My SA walked up with one box. I could tell it wasn’t a Evelyne. We walked into the back room, and she brought me exactly what I wanted. A black Kelly 28!!! We walked downstairs I looked at some bracelets, she gave me her card and told me to come back the next day for the Evelyne.

While looking at bracelets I saw another customer with a Blue Birkin 30 getting a matching scarf.

A lot of the SA were walking out with several boxes.

I think telling the SA exactly what you want, and showing some knowledge of H helps.

I am no expert, but knew the color and leather of the bags I own. I was dressed very casual Jeans T-shirt, and Gucci loafers. Only H item I was wearing was a CDC. Literally landed at 7:30 am from JFK.

I think if they have what you want, there’s a good chance you’ll get it.

What I did learn from her, 600 ppl try to get appointments every day. They only give 100 a day. Shipment comes in the afternoon, she told me what time to come back for the Evelyne. The France system, doesn’t link with the US. She couldn’t look up a color of a Evelyn TPM that I bought.

I hope this helps anyone reading this. I don’t usually post, but this blog is the only reason I feel like the H trip was successful.

PS I also tried getting an appointment with my husband passport. He has been denied 4X. Will try once more today.
