sorry to hear about your experience! i can totally understand how depressing it is to not be offered a bag after putting in so much effort. it wasn’t clear from your post but did you spend all at FSH or you also bought things from the other stores? also was it all from one SA or a few different ones?

from what i’ve read on this thread, the best or “easiest” way is to buy high jewellery and/or RTW. seems many people get offers when they make those kinds of purchases. but again no guarantees.

but don’t lose all hope, your profile will look very good now and the next time you have an appointment they will see you are a loyal customer and i’m sure they will offer you something. i know now whenever i get an appointment they always look at my history and it makes a difference! and i’ve never bought RTW or high jewellery either. just stuff like you did, shoes, accessories etc.

also look at the positives, i’m sure you saved a lot of money buying your items in Paris vs back home right?

Understand your disappointment and frustration. We have all been there before. A large part of the H game is down to luck, what you want versus what the store has. I have heard of people spending large amounts like you and yet fail to get their desired bag and this is not even during the Low inventory months. I don’t think being Asian makes a difference. I’m Asian and I don’t feel I’m treated differently. There are times when I get what I want and other times I don’t simply because the store has no inventory on the day and time I happen to be there. Im sure with your recent purchases, you will have a better chance next time. Best of luck for your Sep trip!

I had experienced the same thing you did just couple weeks ago. I was in Paris for one week, tried to register to see a leather associate everyday but failed. Finally, I was able to see a leather associate using my husband passport but he had no purchased history whatsoever. I had spent over 10,000€ in shoes and other stuffs but no bag was offered. The SA told me they were no bags (b,k,c,garden party)in stock since all craftmanships were on vacation. I’m asian as well and i wondered if that makes any different. I felt very disappointed and sad. Maybe i will give it another try next year. I hope i will be lucky and score one of the bag in the future. Good luck to you as well.

The factories are closed in August. There are no bags being made.

Hi everyone!!
Wanted to share my experience at Hermes FSH a little over a week ago. We were in Paris for 3 nights and I had started to apply for appointments before reaching Paris itself as the first two were bound to get rejected. However, I yet didn't get any appointment the first 2 days. (Tried with 4 passports as it was a family holiday). On the second day, we went to the store to buy a few other items and had just tried and requested the sales lady at the leather department if it is possible to get an appointment as we got rejected a few times already and we only had another night left in Paris. Whilst we were waiting for her to speak to the manager - we saw another lady who was offered a beautiful kelly size 25 in beige. Initially the SA said no but then after a bit of convincing she told us to go upstairs and put us in touch with a lovely SA.

The SA noted down preferences and asked us if we wanted any exotic leathers uand if we were open to a size 35. We weren't looking for exotic leathers but was open to a size 35. Around 15 minutes later our SA came back with one big orange box. (Also while we were upstairs waiting for the SA - a woman next to us was taken to the private room and shown two bags) However, another lady behind us was told there were no B/K/C available. Once she left, our SA told us she had only one bag remaining. It was a Birkin - size 35 togo leather and the colour was etain with rose gold hardware. We were ecstatic and bought the bag as the colour was exactly what we were looking for.

When we went downstairs to pay - we saw two more bags being bought - a size 35 Birkin in a Rouge colour and another lady was offered a size 35 birkin alligator leather in bright blue.

So in one hour atleast 4 bags were sold! Surprising because it was in August and we thought inventory would be low.

Also that evening we got an appointment for the next day as well however they didn't have anything available and offered me a 24/24. However, I politely declined.

Extremely happy with the whole experience and happy to have finally landed my first Birkin!

I want to reply to this post and share my experience. I had one very similar to you. I began my journey with Hermes Paris over 2 years ago. In total I have spent 20,000Euros in the stores buying shoes, perfumes, handbags (no B/K/C's), clothing blankets and I was never offered a bag. I also come a lot in August and nothing. After multiple tries I got 3 appointments over 2 years each time I was offered: toolbox, mosaic, roulis. That was not working for me either. THEN I STARTED TO FOLLOW HPLUXE on Instagram. She is down to earth and generous. She explained to her followers that she also did not get an appointment. The S.A. told her to check back at FSH around 3pm to see if anyone cancelled. Three days ago I walked in around 3pm. I looked at wallets and small bags and then casually asked to see Evelyn TPM. The S.A told me to check in with the appointment desk. There were 4 of us all who gave her our passports and we waited to see if there were no shows. I heard many S.A.'s telling other people it's August craftsman are on vacation the whole story. The S.A. who helped me just asked what I wanted ... she offered me coffee was gone for 20 minutes and came back with 2 boxes and asked me to follow her to the section where they have mens clothing. I thought for sure I was not going to be offered anything. Then she pulled out a Birkin 25 Black Togo Rose Gold Hardware and I nearly fainted. The was no private dressing room, nothing dramatic. I was so grateful that I just bought the bag straight away. Paris is RANDOM. So don't feel bad. We all experience it but that is what makes finally getting one in August feel all the more rewarding. Do not give up because the moment you're about to give up you might get lucky!

I don’t believe being Asian has anything to do with you not getting bag offer...

In the last few years I’ve been to Paris 5 times. On 4 trips I was offered one of my requested Birkins (which I got) and one Kelly (which I turned down). Only on one occasion did I buy anything else at the same time (a watch at GV, I buy other items but not at the same time with my bag). I never dress up and often have on sweats and tennis shoes when I shop.

I’m baffled why anyone would spend an exorbitant amount of money on stuff they don’t absolutely love then be disappointed when not offered a bag. If this thread shows you anything is that it truly is random and the luck of the draw.
