So it sounds in May/ June the scoring were very rare? Not so many reports so far?

I’m here in Paris currently, for work and for birthday celebration. I would say that it’s hit or miss. For previous 2 years in June (I’ve been going to Paris to celebrate my birthday every year for last few), I always found bags matching my exact criteria down to style, size, leather, colour, & hardware. This time, I was offered a few choices, all could be very tempting for others (K25 or Constance with enamel HW) but they didn’t match my exact criteria, so I politely turned down the offers. However, I don’t book my trip with the sole focus of getting a bag, because Paris has so much more to offer, lovely sceneries, awesome museums, great shops, and best of all very yummy pastry. I also like going at the end of June because I can attend the major sale other stores are having. As well, Hermes in Paris has more selection on RTW in my size, which is always a perk. I would say to pick a time that you can enjoy Paris for all the reasons, and not solely for bags.

Hi tramcaro, would you mind share how many times did you apply for the appointment before getting one?

Thanks a lot for sharing!

Hi everyone,

I have been following this forum for over a year now and it has been so helpful to me i could not thank you enough!
I will be visiting Paris with my friend from 11th-17th July and we will both be trying to score an appointment however i was very disappointed to hear that it's the most difficult to get a B/K/C during this time, but I'll try to keep my hopes up!

I just have a question that i couldn't find the answer to and i hope someone could help me with it :)
If i tried to apply online using my local number from my hometown before arriving in Paris then changed my sim to a french one when i arrive in Paris how will that affect my appointment try's? will it start from scratch or will they know I have tried applying many times based on my passport number?

I hope this question wasn't too confusing

Thanks in advance!

From what i was told during my visit in May, phone number doesnt matter, it's by passport number, and after your registration, you usually will be notified via both SMS and email. good luck to you and regardless, enjor your time in Paris!

While I would love the savings, the real fun for me is knowing that it came from a Paris store. I've never been ... sigh.

On a related note, are there accessory items that are exclusive to the stores in Paris? Exclusive scarves or enamel colors/prints, for instance?
In my experience (and also what I anticipated) is the selection is broader than at a boutique. IMO, boutiques get picked over quickly b/c only a few of each design come in at a time. FSH has more of everything. That's what motivated me to go to Paris. My local boutique wants to sell what it has as its inventory, not to make transfers.

I am sharing my non-appointment visit to Paris as this info would have helped me score one if I had known.

I was in Paris from Mon until Sat. As I applied for an appointment merely 8 weeks before I was not sure if I will start from 0 again of if this counts to the number needed to be one if the lucky chosen ones. Having a late arrival in Mon I therefore applied for Tuesday as first option as I was afraid I might score an appointment I could not make anyway. I also did not apply for Friday due to Disneyland visit. As the no-appt for Saturday text came on my 7th try I was very sad as it was my last possible day. I visited the store anyway and the very nice lady at the desk said she can only see 4 attempts but not 7 after checking my passport with their system. Therefore I presume that after probably 4 weeks the account is set to 0 and you start from new again. Will probably try in October again!

For the last 10 years, there have been accessories that are leftover from the annual Hermes Saut. This year when I was there at the end of April through the beginning of May, they still had the 2 90cm silk scarves, a twilly and a bracelet. Here are photos of the scarves (Sorry, I do not have any photos of the other 2 pieces):

These are only available in Paris and only while supplies last. It is what they have leftover from the Hermes Saut event, so it differs every year. But, it is definitely an exclusive Paris purchase! I wish I had know about the one that someone posted from one of the other Paris stores. I'll have to check next time. I like acquiring these special to specific location pieces as well. HTH.

Oh, I just recalled something, in the past I have had the concierge of the hotel that I stay at purchase the special Saut pieces on my behalf (I just needed to provide my passport and credit card so that I could get my VAT refund) and had them waiting for me upon my arrival as I was concerned that they would run out before I arrived.

Hi,

Is there anyone who’s making Paris your home store? I’m asking because the difference in prices is so significant. So everytime I want to buy something at my local store and I compare it to the Europe price, I would always feel like it’s better to buy it in Paris instead and ended up not getting the item.

I can only go up to 2x a year though.. is it often enough to make Paris my home store?
