G’day Ladies! Hoping someone could please explain Hermes purchase policy for B/K and C... more specifically, I’m looking for some help with the following:
1) I understand that there is a quota for K and B in Paris. Does that also apply to C? I was lucky enough to get a K in April. Can I ask for C if I manage to get an appointment on my next Paris trip in July?
2) I also understand the current quota is 1 bag each 6 months. Does it mean one of each K AND B every 6 months? Or is it one of K OR B every 6 months?
3) When does the 6 months purchase ban restriction apply? Is it from the day of your last purchase? Or is there like a defined period (for example, Jan-June and July-Dec) meaning I can get one bag any time between Jan-June and another bag between July-Dec?
Many thanks!

From what I understand C is not a quota bag at this time. My understanding of the quota is one K or one B every six months and it is semester based.
All of that being said, you will find that there are exceptions. Some SAs will not enforce quota or semester (I think most do though). If you're there no harm in trying. H is a mystery and you really never know what will happen.

Hi Hermes lovers

I have been trying the last 2 days to make an online appointment but to no avail. Today i tried making one from my phone and my hubby tried also from his phone but we both inserted my phone number but each others email addresses. So now i got an sms (from my phone) saying i failed to get one and email (from my hubbys email) informing the same rejection. When i try to refresh the appointment page, on my phone it still says that i will get a notice on 0730 pm which i havent get until now. Whereas my hubby showed the rejection notice on his appointment internet page.
Has anyone ever experienced the same thing? What should i do?

I was lucky last year and scored a Rouge Tomate 35 B in 2017.

I was unexpectedly in Paris again this year in May and my first time using the appointment system. I scored an appointment on the 3rd try but even then, based on other clients, your time will fluctuate. I believe my appt ended up around 2:30pm when originally, it was at 10:30am (I was refreshing every 15-20 min). Although this is a huge improvement, you are still "on call" and cannot really do anything else unless you are close by shopping. I elected to have lunch at Laduree which is only down the street.

Since I had done quite a bit of damage last year domestically at Hermes along with the 35B, I wasn't so intent on scoring another K or B although I am interested in a K28 or perhaps Constance.

However, a few days before, I did walk into FSH and purchase a toffee canvas strap for my gold Kelly which is virtually impossible to buy over the counter in the states. I was already happy.

At the appointment, Thomas assisted me and he was very nice. Long story short, by that time of day, all the K's and B's were sold out and he encouraged me to try the system again since I had time. He also suggested I try at the other boutiques - he was very kind. I did end up purchasing a black 29 Evelyne which I've been wanting. On that day, they virtually had all the colors I requested.

Overall, I had a nice experience at FSH and will try my luck again next time in a couple years.

This thread has been so helpful.

it’s illegal not to accurately declare your purchases and not pay the tax so yes the penalty they charge is completely legal. Taxes, duties and import charges are federal law.

Everyone should declare, it is not worth the risks
Silly me
I misread that the fine will be slapped by Hermes as there was a question posed on whether the 6 month quota included a C.

Thanks for your response!!

Sorry may I ask if you have checked in at 10:30am or u just waited till you received the sms saying your SA would be available shortly?
I thought for all 10:30am appointments, u can immediately go to the leather department once the store opens and check in and get served almost instantly..... ?!?!!
Curious to know ~~ ^^

The SA who assisted me this last time in Paris also gave me her contact and told me to let her know whenever I’m coming back to France. Does it means I may not need an appointment next time?

I got SA name card in FSH and the shop outside of paris.
If I will go Paris and that town again, how many days before arrive I can send email to the SAs?
I would like to know any techniques for write this email!?
Of course I will try the appointment system too.

I would try the appointment first and then let the SA know when are you going. However, if you are not lucky enough to secure one, I would email the SA and try to ask for help in a very nice and polite way.

Email both SAs well before you leave and let them know your dates of travel. Sometimes it takes a while for them to respond so give yourself and them time. If you don’t hear from them then go with online appointment system. Have a wonderful time in Paris and may the H Fairy be kind to you!

Greetings KH8. Correct as the store opens at 10:30am, if you receive that slot, you ought to be there first thing when they open since you'll be served first - mine was at 11:45 - 12:45? or something like that - it stated the time may change. So I waited to receive the confirmation SMS text since I had time. Therefore, if you get any time later than 10:30am, it could fluctuate as other clients are preceding you and may take longer to be served.

I hope that makes sense. But if you have an earlier time, I would recommend being close by. It's pretty clear on the website when you begin to track and refresh.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

One last comment. When I was at FSH a few days prior to buy the toffee canvas strap, I couldn't believe how rude some of the other customers were. I just happened to be at the wallet counter where another couple was being helped by an SA and coincidentally showing them straps. I waited until they were done before I approached that particular SA as it was a convenient segway and she had items out regardless. She was very kind. Most of the strap inventory was exhausted due to the Cannes Film Festival crowd she stated but they had the color I wanted. I wanted black but the toffee was a complimentary match - worked out well. As we looked at options, the store became crowded - and customers were yelling and screaming for assistance. I told the SA about my experience last year waiting in line which took a few minutes. She was focusing on me intently and I was appalled at the others around us. I felt bad for the SA's that work there.

Sorry - I was incorrect - I believe my apt was around 11:45am - not 10:30am, otherwise I would have showed up at opening - apologies. That's why I didn't go earlier - knowing it would move around due to other clients.

Thank you for you reply!
I will go Paris early Jul.
And I have tried to send mail to the SA who is outside Paris one. But no reply.
And I will also apply the appointment for FSH.
Hope they will reply me soon and I got the appointment for FSH.

Hi, I am new to this forum and I realize this question may have been asked and answered already but couldn’t find the post.
I am traveling to Paris mid August, I plan to try to visit the mothership store on FSH, I was wondering what is a convenient hotel to stay at, any recommendations? I realize that August is very slow and the chances of getting a bag very low, however I wanted to still visit and look around. Thx in advance...
