We reached an hour earlier and went for breakfast. Reached the store around 10.15am and there was already a queue with about 15 people. Joined the queue and the door open promptly at 10.30am that day.
Went up to the 2nd floor and was greeted by a very friendly SA. Told her I've got the 10.30am appointment and she asked for my name and passport. After verifying my details, I was assigned to a SA.
The SA asked what I'm looking for and I told her my wishlist. B30, red, blue, pink or neutral color with ghw. K28, black, red, blue, pink or neutral color with ghw. The SA smiled and asked what's my next option if these were not available. My heart sank at her words! I told her, I've not thought about that. SA say she will see what she can find.


Waited for about 20mins for SA to be back. While waiting, I've overheard another SA telling her customer, she's sorry as there wasn't anything the customer was looking for. I can't imagine if I hear that from my SA..

SA is back with a few boxes and she ask me to follow her to the room. I was so so excited! While in the room, she mentioned that there's nothing in my wishlist, but she think I would like this as well. No B30 or K28 that day.


She opened the box and took out the bag. The colour, size and hardware wasn't in my consideration at all! But it's a pretty color (hubby agreed as well). Tried it on and I still wasn't sure if I would carry it. I told myself, the bag will look so good in a white dress and SA agreed with me. SA showed me a charm, pouch, matching wallet and twilly as well.


She wasn't pushy and waited for me to make my decision. After considering for a while and discussing with hubby, we decided to get the bag!! Let's be honest, I don't know when the next Paris trip will be and since I'm so lucky to get an appointment and there's a Bag with a pretty colour, there's really no reason not to get the bag.


While making payment, the SA asked if I would like them to deliver the bag to the hotel we're staying and it takes about 2hrs for the bag to be delivered. I said yes to that! The bag was safely delivered to the hotel!!

Definitely! Never give up! These days I think, on average, people don’t get apts until 3rd of 4th try! Congrats

I know it is hard enough to score an appointment but did any of your ladies who got the appointment but didn’t get the bag?

My husband earlier this year wasted a whole afternoon when his appointment time was moved by hours at a time. Only to be told by a very unfriendly, openly disinterested sales assistant before he even had a chance to open his mouth and ask: “no Kelly/Birkin/Constance”. Thought it was horrible. At least she could have pretended to look and offered him to return the following day. That’s what sets a great shopping experience from a mediocre one.


My story happened in this February. As a “stalker” of this thread, loving reading all the stories and learning so much from here, it’s really a shame that I didn’t share mine.


Characters: Friend A, Friend B, and me.


A and B were very lucky. They both got appointments on the first day! Besides, we all didn’t have any purchase histories in Paris or Europe before.


A’s appointment was at 10:30 AM. When we were at the leather department, many customers were already there. After A was assigned an SA, he led us to a table and asked what she wanted. “A birkin 30 in black or dark blue and preferred GHW,” she said. We discussed about colors and decided she wanted one in togo or epsom leather. SA asked, “do you need something else?” My friend showed a face like “she didn’t know what to do.” lol SA was really kind and said, “if you don’t need other things, just say it. It’s fine. Don’t worry.” Then, I explained a birkin bag was all she wanted. It was her dream bag and wanted one for a long time! After he asked if we need something to drink, he left.

I can’t remember how long it was. We were so excited and nervous. Every second seemed to tick longer than usual. I thought I probably forgot what he looked like. Then, there he was, walking toward us, and with a small box and big box!!! He said, “follow me, please.” Then, we kept walking to the other side of the building. There was a quiet corner. He opened the big box first. As he slowly pulled out the bag, we were so excited!! Because it was what my friend wanted at the first place. A togo birkin 30 in black with gold hardware!! We all couldn’t believe our eyes because it was very difficult to get a b/k/c in our country. My friend couldn’t believe that she was offered one now. She thanked the SA and told him she loved him. lol The other small box was a bag charm. She took it, as well. Then, we went to the ground floor for bracelets and twillies.

As friend A and B were served by a SA from the accessary department, I asked the leather SA, “The friend B also got an appointment in the afternoon. She made the appt for us. Is that possible we could see a bag and pay by our credit cards.” He said, “No. The name of payer must be the same with the one registering the appt.” I told my friends. Friend B was not into Hermes and didn’t prepare enough credit on her cc so we decided to give up the appt in the afternoon. After everything was settled. I picked up something on my wishlist and registered for an appt on the website. Wish I could have one tmr, too. From reading posts at that time, this might be worked and it really worked!!

I got an appt at probably 3:45 pm. (Sorry, I kind of forgot now.) I remembered it moved forward really fast. As we had a lunch in Le Bon Marche at 12ish pm, the appt time was already moved to 1ish PM. I was kind of nervous that we may not make it. When we finished our lunch, I got a text saying my SA was ready for me. I really couldn’t make it and we had our “mission” in Le Bon Marche. We needed to finish it. We decided to go to FSH after the mission was done. When I was there, it was about the time as I was originally assigned. Surprisingly, it was really quiet at the leather department. No customer, at all. Though I found the other group of customers in the corner afterward, the vibe was very different from yesterday. There were only two Hermes SAs in the counter. I told them I was very sorry for being late and showed them the text and my passport. Then, I was assigned a SA among two of them. She was straight, as well. No small talks, she directly asked what I wanted. I showed her a list of my wishlist on my smartphone. A C18 in Bleu electrique, Rouge Grenat, Bleu Izmir, or Neutral colors and in Epsom, Evercolor, or Taurillion Novillo leathers. She took it down and left. She was gone for about 15-20 minutes and came back with a box!! I was so nervous and excited when she showed me the bag. She said, “I’m sorry I didn’t have the bag you asked but I found this.” It was a lovely Verrou Chaîne Mini bag in yellow. I asked her, “could I try it?” “Sure,” she said. The chain was too short on me. Like tpfers said, it didn’t sing to me. I thanked the SA and told her I set my goal for C18. I tried to explain why I rejected the bag and understood how rare C was. Her face became dark. Even before I finished my sentence, “do you have kelly..”, she said, “In the earlier of the day, she already checked no b/k in stock.” I was so sad I couldn’t remember if she said anything after that. Then, I told her, “I didn’t try on a C18 before. Could I try the one in display?” She said, “Sure,” and took out the bag with a long face. To my surprise, when I tried it, it didn’t sing to me, as well. I didn’t know it was because of the color or what I wore on that day. It just didn’t look good on me. Even though I still tried to ask her, if this was not for sale. She replied with the face like she rolling her eyes for thousand times in her mind, “You see the words.” As she put back the bag. I just didn’t want to give up because I knew it would be very difficult to get other appts in short days. I asked her if I could see her in other times. She said she was not available. I needed to make another appointment online. Blah blah. Actually, I was really sad at that time. What made me feel really bad was not that I didn’t get the bag I wanted. It was her attitude, which made me like begging her for something. I was so sad. My friend B said I looked like almost to cry after the appt. She was kind to register for appts for me tmr. We did all try but didn’t get one in the following days. I tried one more time in Sevres store. I met a nice SA but still had no luck for bags. After I bought a Chanel bag, I decided to forget about it. I was really sad about the experience and even didn’t want to step into FSH again...

However, as the time passed, reading wonderful stories on this thread every day, it gives me some strength now. Lol
I think I will try again in FSH next year. Wish I have better luck next time.:biggrin:

I don’t like it that she made you feel this way. You are the customer, not a beggar!
It would have been helpful if you had gotten to try a few sample bags to see what styles or sizes work for you. Anyway, I think you will have better luck next time!!

Hugs...sorry about your experience. FSH can be awful at times. But it can be amazing too. I hope your next trip is better!
 
Sorry if this has been mentioned but if you receive an appointment and end up not being able to make it that day are you able to cancel it and reapply for another day? Or will you somehow be blacklisted for registering again?

I do not believe you can cancel. We do not know if missing an appointment factors in to receiving new additional appointments. I would personally do everything I could to avoid missing an appointment but if it were absolutely unavoidable, I would probably go there the following day, show them the text from the previous day, explain the situation, and ask if they had any availability for today instead (assuming the registration didn't work out).

Hugs back.:heart: Thank you. It is true. In other departments in FSH, we met some nice SAs. A SA from small leather goods department gave us his name card. We don’t know if we could only ask him the products from his department or also we could ask him about bags and other accessories?
