I am planning for my Paris this year for a week in June to September and hoping to score a B/K.
Would you TPFers know when is summer holiday for Hermes craftsmen? I heard the stock level will drop to a serious low or even zero during that time of the year...

based on my experience in last Oct. the person who pay for the bag must be the same person who registered. they dont allow me to pay using my credit card as the appointment is under my hubby name. we end up paying using his card. no issue if pay by cash.

Here is my story, I was in Paris 5 days from 1st May .

I made appointments with both DH and my passport for 2 days but no luck.I read about the third time luck theory here but to secure an appointment, I also tried to make some purchase in Paris to made a record (we only have purchase record in other European counties)before we made our third time appointment request. I bought a GP in Canvas in George V and my DH bought a silk scarf in FSH, then we make our appointment at the same time around 1pm . We both received an appointment confirmation in the evening , mine was 10:30am and DH was 6:20pm! Wow it is hard to believe the appointment is just random, seems somehow it is related to the amount of spendings I had coz some of my friends had the same experience like this .
I was so excited coz I learnt from this forum that I may have a better chance early in the morning .

I was so excited that night and had a dream the SA took out a Black K in GHW from a orange box ....

The next morning I was waiting at the shop from 10:10 at the main door ,it opened late but I still managed to be the first one going upstairs to the leather department . A lady checked my passport and refer a SA to me .... The SA was a nice lady but looked like she was not very enthusiastic( I meant she welcomed me in a way just to take up her job). Then we sat down and I told her i want a B30, if not available B25 ,or a K28 if no I will also consider K32. My dream colour is a darker shade of blue like blue de presse or black , Togo or Epsom,both PHW/GHW is okay . She asked if I will consider other bag , I said yes I am also looking for a all leather GP. I tried to describe how much I wanted my first ever B/K here , she politely said she will try to find what I want .While I was waiting, I noticed there were 3 more customers being taken on the 10:30 appointment .

After 10 mins she came back and said pls follow me .We went to another corner of the same floor and she took out a Black K32 in Togo leather with GHW (together with the inner bag)exactly the one I saw in my dream ! She explained “this is Togo ,what you are looking for .”I was too surprised and thank her to offering me my dream bag , she simply said “just because I have it “. She stayed so calm all the way I guess she get used to see emotional customer like me :D . I reconfirmed it is s Sellier and the size and accepted that immediately.Then she asked again do I still need the all leather GP snd she thought she has some thing that is right . I was so overjoyed as she found the electric blue GP 36 that I asked for. She asked me at this stage what else do I want , then I bought a leather bracelet and some twillies also the inner bag. She didn’t ask me what other products I was looking for before she offered me the Kelly .Seems the reason is really as simple as she said,because she found that in their stock(I didn’t expected it could come in such unconditional way ). I don’t know if Black K32 in GHW are popular out there but in my country that is a very hard-to-get combination.

When we were going to leave I wanted to ask my Hermes Angel for her name card but she just gave me her name and say good bye and thank you and she didn’t give me a namecard .That’s why I felt from the beginning she just take me as a job no small talks thoughout the 30min though I kept talking with her =P

Anyway I am so grateful for the offer of Black K!

Hope other followers of this thread can score their dream bag and have the same joy!!

Don’t give up and be prepared to try three times before securing an appointment!

how I dressed: I only have a H scarf and hinged bracelet with me in the appointment, new Burbuery coat overall look neat and decent

I went to FSH today and got an appointment for 5/25. The time changed a bit from 11:30 to 12:30 and thanks to everyone on the board I realized you can check in and they ask you to wait or walk around.

The store wasn’t busy and it was my first time enjoying walking around. I had a very lovely lady Camille help me out and offered water and seat. I asked for a Constance and B30 and also an evelyne. She came out Aprox 10 minutes later and said apologies they didn’t have my 3 color choices ( asked for Gris Asphalt, etoupe and etain) but she didn’t have an evelyne in 29 / etain. I took it right on the spot and she offered me a gold Lindy with the new straps but it was in silver hardware so I kindly declined.

I went over to jewelry and shoes and picked up a few items. I’ve been shopping here since 2012 and I noticed a few changes-

1) at least in my experience- the new system isn’t fair to everyone ( she said Aprox 5% appointment requests get fulfilled) but they almost have everyone leaving somewhat satisfied with the bag they get.
2) the system is organized and non stressful- being 6 months pregnant I was worried of having to be standing for long periods of time but that was not the case. I was in and out within 1 1/2 hour and in the leather department for 30 mins.
3) The shoe SA said they are trying to improve the process even more and over the summer there are more changes to come
4) I do think being yourself and not having to dress up or down matters- that being said - Camille knew I spoke a little French and even though I went to my native English- she was happy to speak slowly with me in Franglish which tells me if you speak the language- I think they warm up fairly quickly

Overall a great experience this time- I will surely shop here again [emoji6]

Congrats on scoring your Evelyn!
I hope the changes they have coming includes the appointment time. I love everything about the new system but totally dislike that the time of the appointment can change. I didn't try for an appointment last time I was in Paris for that reason.

Thank you ladies! I'm so happy to be able to score my dream bag from FSH! Wish you girls good luck too!

Also, my appointment was made under my sister's name and my SA switched it over to my husband's name as he was the one paying for the bag. I Guess it depends on your SA and also would be best to clarify it at the beginning of your appointment.

Avoid July and August. It’s summer holiday in Paris and many H craftsmen go on vacation..

Would you know how long one has to wait to purchase her second B/K at the FSH store?

And is the FSH purchase history linked to other H stores in Paris? Trying to see whether I could purchase another B/K from other stores during the ban period...
