I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I'm currently in Paris, have tried to get an appointment for monday, today and tomorrow with no luck. I'll go tomorrow to hear if they've had any cancellations, but at this point I'm not very optimistic. I'm leaving on Friday.

I love following this thread, but I’ve noticed that it’s been less active since the days of ppl sleeping outside FSH pre-dawn. What’s happened?

My guess is there’s not as much strategy, therefore you don’t need to stay current within the thread. There’s no magic formula of figuring out what time to try to queue...you apply for a random appointment and keep trying if you don’t get one.

There’s no fighting and ranting over line cutters, resellers, or waiting 8 hours just to not get an appointment (let alone a bag). It’s a lesser inconvenience on your trip (other than the shifting appointment times which hasn’t changed), and overall, less hurt feelings.

Even if I’m not as active on the forum as I usually am, I will always read the Paris thread ....so I wish more would share their story. I’m not planning on going to Paris and I don’t have an issue getting offered bags, but there’s something fascinating about the thread. Literally, it’s people’s dreams/fairytales of buying a bag from FSH for various reasons....where in other situations, they may have not been able to get their dream bag (location, spending profile, availability). It just really makes me feel happy for them.

So if you went to Paris and were just a thread lurker, please share! Successful or not, I love hearing the stories...it’s my favorite thread on PF!

Hi all, I've been following this forum for a few years and thought I'd share my recent experience. We arrived on Sat but didn't manage to secure an appointment. DH suggested visiting FSH and we ended up buying a shawl after seeing a nice piece. We weren't successful in getting an appointment for Mon either but had lunch near the George V store so DH thought we shld just pop by to try our luck. We queued up for about 30 mins and when I managed to see a SA, I asked for a mini Evelyne as I knew the chances for B/K were slim. She asked if I'd bought anything recently and pulled up my purchase from FSH before heading off to check for stock. When she came back with one in Sauge, DH felt that it was too small and asked for a PM size instead. The SA's face turned sour almost immediately but improved slightly after I explained that the mini was too small for weekends as I usually carry things in my bag for my three year old. Thankfully she managed to get me the PM size in the same colour but DH was not impressed. We looked at other items as well before I tried asking if they had a B/K but no luck even though I did spot another lady with a large box upstairs in a corner when we headed up to try on shoes. By the same evening, I received a text saying that I had secured an appointment for today, which seems to suggest that the third time lucky theory is fairly accurate. We arrived at FSH shortly before the store opened this morning as my appointment was at 10.30am and when we met my SA, I knew my chances were slim as she wasn't friendly even though DH spoke fluent French. She took down the sizes and colours I asked for in B/K but did not bother asking for other details, unlike the SA attending to the couple behind us who was extremely friendly and asked for specifics. True enough, my SA returned empty handed in 10 mins with the usual 'we didn't get any deliveries as it was May Day yesterday' explanation and we were out of the store by 10.45am. I was disappointed but didn't want to make a big deal of it as this was a long awaited trip for DH and myself to spend some time together without our child. I'm not sure if I or DH would be able to get another appointment before I leave on Mon but I guess there's no harm trying :)

I have followed this thread for a few years and finally found the time to write about my experience.

I went to Paris at the end of January with my DH and 2 DS. Two weeks before my trip I emailed the lovely SA, from Sevres, that sold me a C24 on my previous trip to Paris. I gave her my desired colors and sizes. She responded and told me which day she worked that week and looked forward to seeing me. When I arrived in Paris, I logged on the H website for an appt at FSH. I was able to get an appt on my first try! However, they didn’t have any B/K/C in my desired size or neutral color. I wasn’t very surprised that I wasn’t successful but very hopeful my Sevres SA would have something for me.

When I showed up to Sevres my SA was with another customer so I browsed until she was done. When she was finally able to help me she asked me what I was looking for that day. I told her a B/K/C in a neutral color. After 10min, she came back and told me to follow her to the women’s fitting room. It was a K28 black PHW Togo leather!! She looked at my profile and saw that I haven’t purchased a K in Paris yet so she knew I’d love it. I immediately said yes and was over the moon. I was so excited that I didn’t bother inspecting the bag closely. When I got to the hotel I was admiring the bag and noticed it had a horseshoe symbol. I know this means it was a SO but I was puzzled as to why someone would order a black k28 Togo leather. I looked but couldn’t find anything that was “special” about it. The exterior and interior was all black with PHW. I’m still super excited about it and feel extremely lucky to have been offered this bag.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, the same in gold but my sa pointed it out when he took out the bag, he said the lady who ordered it came the day before and felt the strap was too short for her liking so turned it down. With neutral colors, don't think it's uncommon at all.

I read somewhere in TPF that the youngest customer who scored an appt at FSH was 10 month old. Does this mean you can even register your child’s passport no. for an appt at FSH? Has anyone tried that?

I don’t think that’s likely. While you can be with someone during their appointment, from what I read here... it’s the appointment holder that has to make the transaction. I’m going to assume that the 10 month old didn’t have a credit card yet lol...unless they made some exception with a good laugh.

Congrats @Maddie11 on your beautiful Kelly, the horseshoe makes it extra special!
I am just wondering, between your last C24 and this Kelly, did u make any other purchases?

I'm curious to know how much we have to spend in the store before we get another bag offer. I got my B30 from FSH under DH's record in Sep 2017, but over his last 2 visits this year, he failed to get any BKC although he has purchased some accessories (bracelets, twillies, SLGs) since the last bag offer.

I hardly purchased much btwn the C24 and this Kelly. Just a clic clac and belt kit, both from FSH. My Sevres SA doesn’t seem to care if I made more purchases than the K she offered. I told her I was also looking for a GP and calvi on the day I bought my Kelly. They didn’t have any colors I like in the GP so she referred upstairs to look at calvis with another SA. However, I’m guessing most SA would like you to purchase more things.

I think further purchases add to your history for the next bag request...
