When registering for an appointment when will one be notified of the time slit when granted and appiontment? My BF scored an appontment for Wednesday (the store is closed tomorrow due to labor day) but a time was not provided and we would like to check out some other touristy things around town since we couldn' do so today due to the weather.

They tell you right away when they confirm your appointment.

Warning.. lengthy post

Hi all,

I would like to share my experience shopping in the FSH store.

DH and I were in Europe for 2 weeks. We arrived in Paris a day earlier from Rome, we have planned to be in Paris on the 23rd April but had to rescheduled our flight a day earlier due to Air France strike.

We arrived on 22nd April , Saturday and submitted 2 requests at about noon time for an appointment using DH and my passports.

Both of us were unsuccessful in getting the appointments for Monday. The messages got in about 7.32pm

I was feeling a little disappointed as I do have plans for the later half of the week and did not want to missed out just because I need to be on ‘standby mode’ for the Hermes appointment. So I prep myself and made up my mind that I will try for 2 more days.

Monday morning I tried again with DH and my passports. To be honest, I wasn’t feeling hopeful. Later that night while on the Seine River cruise, we managed to secure 2 appointments , DH appointment is at 10.30am while mine is at 5.30pm.

Gosh I thought , either I make it or break it because from the the information I gathered, appointment times nearing closing time doesn’t yearn much chance.

Tuesday morning off we go ... we arrived at the entrance at about 10.20am and there were already 2 queues forming at 2 entrances.

I am unsure which is the correct one.

10.30am came and we were let in. I was told to go up 1 floor up to see the leather hostess.

Met the hostess, she asked for my DH passport and a SA was assigned to us. She was nice and polite. She sat us down and ask if it was our first time here. So I told her we were traveling for the past week and just got in from Rome. She just smiled and say it’s nice.

I think she wasn’t ready / want to strike up much conversation with me.

She then asked what she can help me , I then showed her my wishlist which also include 1 silver ring, 1 Kelly double tour bracelet and 1 pair of loafers. I was hoping to score a K28 Retourne , in bleu nuit, bleu Brighton or blue agate with gold hardware preferably but am still open with palladium hardware.

She took a look and ask if I can take brighter colours like red or brighter blue. I told her I would prefer darker blue. She had a look on her phone and said she will get back to me. She then left. At that time there were a few more people sitting waiting for their SAs. Everyone seems to be quiet and nervous I think?

We must have waited for about 10-15 mins, she came back with 2 boxes , looking at the size of the boxes my heart sank. I knew that there is no way a K28 could fit in the box

True enough, she said she could not find any Kelly or even Birkin in my preferred Colour range. She then showed me a bag which looks similar to a constance in Bleu Brighton.

At that point I thought I would leave the store empty handed. I told her I have to say no as I already have a C24.
I guess my voice could not hide my disappointment and she may have sense it and felt sorry * purely my assumption*

She then asked me if I would consider a brighter blue like Zanzibar. DH asked if we could have a look first since I initially wanted a C24 in brighter blue before I got my C24 in RJ. She then said she will be back.
She must be gone for about 15 -20mins.

She came back and told us to follow her. Quite frankly, I was feeling dazed already.
She led us into a fitting room and showed me a Beautiful Zanzibar K28 Sellier in Epsom leather with Palladium hardware. Needless to say, I was sold!

To sum it up, based on my experience 1) appointment requests are randomly assigned 2) you don’t need to have purchase history to be offered a bag 3) you can pay for the bag even though the appointment was made under a different name, but I think it’s up to the discretion of your SA.

Thank you for reading through this ultra long story and I will present to you my 1st K28 Zanzibar Sellier Epsom in my next post.. oh yes, about the 5.30pm appointment, I told my SA to cancel the appointment and hopefully someone else’s wish come true too.

Hi all. As promised. .... thanks for letting me share before I go off to Ban island!

Hi all, I have been reading this forum and wanted to share my Paris experience.
I arrived in Paris on April 25 with only the day to shop before continuing on. I tried for an appointment as did my DH but we were not successful. We decided to go anyway and perhaps buy a scarf and Halzan if I could find the right color.

We walked in after a wonderful lunch at Cafe de la Paix prepared to be disappointed. Since this is our honeymoon we were also still hopeful for a bit of luck.

We were helped immediately in the scarves and I selected a beautiful shawl in what seemed to be 2mins! I asked if the sa could help me in the leather dept and she took me over and introduced me to a colleague.

I explained I was looking for a Halzan in a fun color and he asked which size. I had only seen the large and agreed to show me both. After looking I was only interested in the 32 and he pointed to a beautiful yellow. I had researched and didn’t think yellow was avail in the larger size. Love!

While this was occurring I explained I had tried to get an appt that it was my honeymoon as we were headed to the countryside the next day. We were served champagne to celebrate!

Next I said would be remiss if I didn’t ask to see a Birkin in 30 or 35 in a pink or blue. He said it was possible and returned with at 30 in magnolia phw. I felt I needed to compare a 35 and he offered blue but I didn’t love it like the pink.

Next stop for twillys.

I found the experience to be great. Very nice service and he seemed interested in making sure I got what I loved. No problem at the till splitting the order as my DH wanted to buy me the scarf and Halzan as a honeymoon gift. He created new profiles for us as they can’t yet see US history though neither of us had much history anyway.

This long post is to offer hope to those who don’t get an appt. and don’t have a buying history. Will post pics when I unpack at home in a couple of weeks.

Good luck to those traveling to Paris. I hope you get your dream bag.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Please post photos of your pretty Halzan when you get home! Congratulations on your marriage and enjoy the rest of your trip!

Another funny story that happened to me from my trip to Paris.... not at FSH but at the airport upon my return.

....I was pulled aside yesterday after passing customs/immigration (they apparently do that randomly) to have my baggage and info rechecked. The man scans all my luggage and twice asked me if I had brought back fruits. I thought it was odd because he asked me twice, and was very insistent on the fruit. I had already said no and knew I had no fruits or anything that I had brought back from Paris that was illegal. So he asked what was round in my bag and all I could think was my International power converter so he said he would have to check my bag and said it was fine (I had declared everything as I always do. He finds a jar of moisturizer and continues to look and pulls out a twilly box . I asked him if he thought it was a small orange! ha ha ha! He looked embarrass and he let me go....:P

Nice! Next time I’ll fill up my suitcase with empty twilly boxes...
