Thank you Hillychristie! I bought a Birkin there in 2015 on my honeymoon with 0 shopping history at any Hermes at any country. I didn't share that story because the SA who is no longer working there probably thought I was some other client of his. I think so because when I was paying for the Birkin at the registry, the SA asked me how was Singapore. He believed I traveled there before visiting Paris. And I didn't... And I was too chicken to correct him.....

I have purchased 2 scarves, 2 watch bands and 2 pairs of shoes at FSH previous years ( I visit Paris once a year). I didnt buy anything after being offered Constance but while I was waiting for my appointment, I was shopping at the scarf section. I immediately clicked with the scarf SA who helped me. She told me multiple times, she really enjoyed meeting me. I did mention to her that i cat't pay for the 3 scarves right now as I am waiting for my leather goods appointment later and I wanted to pay everything together.

When I was about to pay for Constance at the registry on 2nd floor, I told the SA that I saved some scarves downstairs and wished to pay together if that's okay with her. So we went to the first floor registry together. I doubt my scarf purchase and the connection with the scarf SA helped because she was not aware that I have 3 scarves downstairs.

To be honest, I still can't believe she asked me if I want to see Constance or Birkin after there was no Kelly for me. However, I could tell that she did want to offer me a Kelly if I was not leaveing the next day morning back to US as she asked me if I was leaving the next day morning or afternoon.

Sorry for the long response and hope it helps!
It certainly helps and thanks for all the details.
Will be going to FSH in Jun. Fingers crossed

Hello everyone

I have been reading this threads for quite some time and it has been extremely helpful. So I want to share my shopping experience at FSH on Monday.

I finally got my appointment on the third tries and I reported to the leather goods department when the time came. I was greeted with a SA who seems nice but not super warm, so I was worried that she probably doesn't like me ( I dressed okay only as I packed mostly sweaters and Paris was hot for when I was there - 28/82 degrees). She asked me to go to 2nd floor where it was quieter.

We sat down and I told the SA " I am looking for size like 28 or 32". She responded " so you want a Kelly". I responded "that's a good option." (I was screaming yes yes yes inside). I continue gave her my color options, leather preference, hardware color and etc. She wrote it down and went to do some research. I waited for 15 minute and she came back and let me know that there is no Kelly. I was disappointed and responded " I see. I am leaving tomorrow." She asked if I am leaving in the morning and unfortunately I was. She then asked me if I want to see other bags like Constance or Birkin. I immediately responded "Constance". She asked again my preference for Constance and I told her. Waited for 10 minutes and she came back with an orange box. She asked me to move to higher floor where no one was there. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. Finally, she opened the box and it was a black Epsom size 24 rose gold hardware Constance. I couldn't contain my excitement and I told the SA that I didn't want to ask for Constance because I thought it would be more difficult. The SA started to warm up to me and told me "dreams do come true." And she told me that she was happy to see how happy I was. I asked for her business card and she said I can go find her next time.

I went to registry counter with her and even the register lady said to me that she could tell how happy I was and it really made them happy to see customers are so happy with the purchases.

I can't believe my luck especially I don't have much shopping experiences there.

Wow congrats I might pass out if this happens to me!

I have another question regarding the appointment system. If it's one of the friends who got an appointment for me, does that person have to pay at check out?

It would be according to the passport number that was registered?

Hello,
I got an appointment under my passport and had to bring it with for the hostess to see. when it was time to pay, we swapped the payment under my husband passport as it was a gift from him.

It was not an issue at all since he did not have a coveted bag within the quota 6 months.

Just the main thing is the person who took the appointment needs to be there with their passport. Then at checkout it’s fine to change as long as u didn’t get a quota bag from 6 months.

Good luck

Warning.. lengthy post

Hi all,

I would like to share my experience shopping in the FSH store.

DH and I were in Europe for 2 weeks. We arrived in Paris a day earlier from Rome, we have planned to be in Paris on the 23rd April but had to rescheduled our flight a day earlier due to Air France strike.

We arrived on 22nd April , Saturday and submitted 2 requests at about noon time for an appointment using DH and my passports.

Both of us were unsuccessful in getting the appointments for Monday. The messages got in about 7.32pm

I was feeling a little disappointed as I do have plans for the later half of the week and did not want to missed out just because I need to be on ‘standby mode’ for the Hermes appointment. So I prep myself and made up my mind that I will try for 2 more days.

Monday morning I tried again with DH and my passports. To be honest, I wasn’t feeling hopeful. Later that night while on the Seine River cruise, we managed to secure 2 appointments , DH appointment is at 10.30am while mine is at 5.30pm.

Gosh I thought , either I make it or break it because from the the information I gathered, appointment times nearing closing time doesn’t yearn much chance.

Tuesday morning off we go ... we arrived at the entrance at about 10.20am and there were already 2 queues forming at 2 entrances.

I am unsure which is the correct one.

10.30am came and we were let in. I was told to go up 1 floor up to see the leather hostess.

Met the hostess, she asked for my DH passport and a SA was assigned to us. She was nice and polite. She sat us down and ask if it was our first time here. So I told her we were traveling for the past week and just got in from Rome. She just smiled and say it’s nice.

I think she wasn’t ready / want to strike up much conversation with me.

She then asked what she can help me , I then showed her my wishlist which also include 1 silver ring, 1 Kelly double tour bracelet and 1 pair of loafers. I was hoping to score a K28 Retourne , in bleu nuit, bleu Brighton or blue agate with gold hardware preferably but am still open with palladium hardware.

She took a look and ask if I can take brighter colours like red or brighter blue. I told her I would prefer darker blue. She had a look on her phone and said she will get back to me. She then left. At that time there were a few more people sitting waiting for their SAs. Everyone seems to be quiet and nervous I think?

We must have waited for about 10-15 mins, she came back with 2 boxes , looking at the size of the boxes my heart sank. I knew that there is no way a K28 could fit in the box :(

True enough, she said she could not find any Kelly or even Birkin in my preferred Colour range. She then showed me a bag which looks similar to a constance in Bleu Brighton.

At that point I thought I would leave the store empty handed. I told her I have to say no as I already have a C24.
I guess my voice could not hide my disappointment and she may have sense it and felt sorry * purely my assumption*

She then asked me if I would consider a brighter blue like Zanzibar. DH asked if we could have a look first since I initially wanted a C24 in brighter blue before I got my C24 in RJ. She then said she will be back.
She must be gone for about 15 -20mins.

She came back and told us to follow her. Quite frankly, I was feeling dazed already.
She led us into a fitting room and showed me a Beautiful Zanzibar K28 Sellier in Epsom leather with Palladium hardware. Needless to say, I was sold!

To sum it up, based on my experience 1) appointment requests are randomly assigned 2) you don’t need to have purchase history to be offered a bag 3) you can pay for the bag even though the appointment was made under a different name, but I think it’s up to the discretion of your SA.

Thank you for reading through this ultra long story and I will present to you my 1st K28 Zanzibar Sellier Epsom in my next post.. oh yes, about the 5.30pm appointment, I told my SA to cancel the appointment and hopefully someone else’s wish come true too.

I am wondering if the Cannes Film Festival has any impact on purchasing a B/K/C at FSH in May. It is definitely possible that the jetsetters/movie stars could fly up for the day or have their people shop for them. Any experiences? TIA.

There’s a Hermes store in Cannes so maybe they would just go there. Monaco isn’t far from Cannes either.

Hi ladies, I have a question, maybe a little stupid... how to get an appointment in FSH, some online system or the q every the morning outside the store? If the latter, may I go the previous day and make an appt for the next day? I might be in Paris for 7 days and would like to try as many times as I can to see if I can get sth from the FSH. Many thanks in advance!

HI everyone, I am here to update after my Paris trip.

I only had one day free to try and get the app, so I tried for an appointment online and sadly was not successful. So I decided I would just walk into store and look at the other items I wanted and work into a convo that I was looking for a picotin to see if anything would spark.

I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and immediately felt ignore, a huge difference from all the other stores I had walked into. I approached the gentleman who was standing near the door and asked him to point me to the twillys, and he pointed me to the wrong area as when I went over there, the SA than took me across the store to where the twillys were. None of them did anything for me, so I thanked her and said I would pass but would also like to see the calvi card holders. She has no idea what I was talking about, so I finally asked to see leather wallets and she told me it was upstairs, which upon getting upstairs, I was in housewares and my boyfriend looks over the rails and sees the wallet counters on the floor we were originally on. We walk downstairs to the counter and after waiting for two SAs to finish chatting with each other, I asked if could see the calvi cardholders. The SA pulls out four colors and says this is all we have. I looked at the colors and none of them made me happy, so I told my boyfriend I think I'll pass on these as well, and before I could say anything to the SA, he said its all we have and started to put them away. At this point I had enough of the lack luster service and decided I didn't even want to try and ask for a pico, thanked the SA and started to walk away. As I walked away, I saw another SA pull out several other color calvis for her customer. I was done.

That wAs incredibly disappointing for my first Hermes trip in Paris. :( but I was able to get some lovelies at Chanel and Dior. :)

Hi Feudingfaeries,

Though I have scored a bag from the FSH store, I somehow agreed with you that the service rendered was somehow not what I thought it would be given the amount of money we are prepared to spend. Of course it’s nothing new given many of the Tpfers have encountered far worse. My SA who offered the bag to me wasn’t rude , she just gave me the impression that she is here to do her job , nothing less nothing more.

When I said that I will take the bag she seems eager to send me off to the cashier until I reminded her the rest of my wish list. She seems to have forgotten about it. Perhaps it because I was her first customer and have taken up quite a bit of her time which could cause some bottleneck to her work schedule.

The ready to wear SA was not very far off, he seems a little uninterested in serving us when my DH was looking at the polo shirts, but improved a little when we asked for 2 shirts in different colour and also expressed interest in buying a belt. Having said that, I do enjoyed the service from the silver jewellery department, she was very nice and even told me discreetly that the ring that I tried on looks a little too bulky on my index finger, and she suggested a smaller one which is cheaper than the one I tried on.

Lastly, the cashier was also very nice , very detailed and explained to us about the vat tax refund procedure

To clarify, I don’t think the lack of service attitude has anything to do with the race of the customer.. the menswear SA is also Asian like me.
And yes, i also saw a few SAs chatting with each other rather than serving customers.

Yes, we may not be offered bags, but anyone who walks in the store should be treated with respect and professionalism regardless. I do not think it’s the fault of the SAs, but rather the company culture of the brand who instigated such behaviour.

When registering for an appointment when will one be notified of the time slit when granted and appiontment? My BF scored an appontment for Wednesday (the store is closed tomorrow due to labor day) but a time was not provided and we would like to check out some other touristy things around town since we couldn' do so today due to the weather.

Omg I can feel your frustration, I have been in similar situations before. The best is not to give up and try with another SA, it is your right as a customer to get respectful service.
