Sharing my trip story to Paris.. it’s my first visit to Paris. The information in this thread had been most helpful for me in understanding the system and what to expect. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

My friends, my hubby and I landed in Charles de Gaulle on 18 Dec and I registered on the website for an appointment for the 19th Dec. It was the only attempt and only available chance that I could have to go to the Foubourg store as our itinerary for the trip was packed with other activities. Also didn’t want to disrupt and centre the other days’ activities around Hermes appointment. I only registered for myself and I was not successful in obtaining an appointment. at that point I wished that I had asked my hubby and friends to register..

Nonetheless on the 19th Dec, we headed to the Foubourg store as my SM in my home store had very kindly arranged with Hermes Paris for a tour of their private collection in their museum upon knowing that I will be heading to Paris in Dec. very thankful for the opportunity and the time and effort that everyone involved in helping us arrange for the tour. After exchanging security passes, we entered the historical world of Hermes private collection of creations, and the curator explained in depth the history of the brand and the stories and significance of items that were made in that era. Really appreciate the time that curator spent with us to open up the place and to personally bring us around. Truly eye opening and awe inspiring visit that helped me understand and appreciate the brand even more.

After the tour, the curator guide brought us the petit h workshop and arranged for a leather SA to attend to us at the leather Dept! I almost danced in joy when I heard of the arrangement! My friends and I had a great time making ornaments and having tea at their petit h Café before making our way to the hostess at the leather dept.

I was assigned a lovely lady SA, greeted her with a few French phrases and she seemed really thrilled and we hit off right away! We chatted a little and she asked about what she could get for me and I shared with her my thoughts on the colors and leathers and sought her opinion. She took notes carefully and clarified to be sure that she got the information right and checked my purchase history in their system. I had zero purchasing history because I had only touched down yesterday.

She left to search and I observed a few rejections, no B/K/Cs. I didn’t let that faze me because I came with the mindset that I didn’t even secure an appointment via the system, being able to meet with an SA who gave such great service was already a blessing. Moreover it was a trip with friends and I want to fully enjoy the experience and I am ok if I didn’t managed to get a B/K bag. Plus I’m at a point where I have a few B/Ks in my collection so I also told myself to resist the temptation (crazy!) to accept bags that may be of similar specs just different colour (so tough because Hermes makes such lovely colours in various leather!)

We waited on the 2nd floor for about 20 mins. I was getting anxious and almost wanted to call her to stop the search as we were running late for our lunch appointment at Le Meurice Alain Ducasse (10mins of brisk walking away!) just before I could decide, my SA returned and whispered excitedly to me, in my haste I didn’t really make out what she said but all I heard was that she couldn’t show it to me here and asked us to follow her. So we followed her around the store until we reached a room, a VIP room with leather swatches on the wall. She donned on her gloves and unveiled the bag slowly and carefully. It’s black, PHW Togo Kelly with Alligator handle! She says this is very special, she hasn’t seen anything like this before and it is called Kelly Touch. I was so blown away at this Kelly’s elegance and beauty I was speechless! I truly didn’t see anything like this before. I donned on the gloves to try it on and my hubby and friends unanimously agreed that I should take her home. So we packed her up and brought her home. I came with the expectation of not bringing home a bag but the Kelly is too precious and special to me to let go! [emoji7]

We ended up being too late for our lunch appointment and had to settle for something else but for me, I was still over the moon!

We then visited Serves and picked up two petit h charms and marveled at the transformation of the store from a swimming pool. The petit h SA was really friendly and attentive and tried to help us with something that my hubby and I were looking for in Maison dept to no avail.

The next day, we went back to FSH as my friend would like to pick out some jewelry and I got a rodeo from this visit. The SA too was very friendly and in fact, every SA that we’ve been attended too in all three stores provided excellent customer service! They were generous with their champagne as well [emoji106] We then went to the George V store where I saw an ostrich K being offered to a male customer. I asked about bag charms and they had a selection of rodeos and bag charms. The rodeos available were too big and I took the saddle bag charm.

Paris is truly a beautiful and romantic city and I’m thankful to be able to experience the beauty of this city. I hope to go back again soon. [emoji846] H magical lucky dust to all who will be trying their luck at Hermes Paris stores!

Here are my goodies with the Kelly Touch:

Got an appointment for 10.30 today just to hear “sorry, no stock”. The lady which was serving us was pretty cold - no small talk, was very straight and only left for a couple of minutes to “search the stock”. Just sent an application for my husbands’ passport for tomorrow, we’ll see!
In general it seems less crowded in Paris these days, but I believe the stock might be really low after holidays...
Will keep you updated!

Advice please!

I just returned from my 5 day trip in Paris for New Years. After reading on here that stock would be low, me and my partner still tried the online appointment system and both got appointments on the second day 28th Dec. I hold a UK passport and my partner holds a Malaysian passport. This is our first time attempting to buy a Hermes bag. Unfortunately at our appointments the kind sales associates echoed the same thing that due to the holiday time there were no new bags being made and delivery was scarce for all leather bags especially B and K. We left empty handed and did try the other Hermes stores but with no success.

I still have some annual leave left this month but really want to ask for help from you all here whether it is possible to get offered another online appointment again after a few weeks of getting an appointment? Or is there a quota/limit to being offered an appointment again after a certain time or months have passed? I wouldn't want to book flights and hotel for the end of January to find out there is actually a limit to appointments you can receive within a certain time.

Appreciate the advice and past experiences from you all!

There was someone on this thread that tried for an appt everyday for and few weeks after being offered and buying a bag at her appointment. She was trying to go back to exchange the bag. She said if was able to secure an appt Paris was a short train ride away. She ended up not getting an appt and went to the store anyways.

I scored my HG birkin (see avatar) on January 6 last year. So don't lose hope.

My SO bought me my first Birkin at FSH under the old queue system in 2016. The SA gave us her business card and did mentioned we could look for her the next time we are in Paris. We would be heading to Paris next week and I just found her business card and there is only a general email listed on the card. Is this normal? Understand that it a new system now. Should we still try to email to get an appointment? Thanks!

Hey ladies and gents, thought I'd share my story of Paris Faubourg boutique here.

I went to Paris during Xmas and hoped to score a b or k there. After a few failed attempts of getting an appointment, I was finally offered one at 10.30 on the 28th Dec, which was 2h20mins before my flight back at cdg airport. Worried about being 'blacklisted' if I don't show up for my appointment along with my gut feeling telling me to give it go, I went there on that morning.

I went upstairs and browsed around the home & RTW session while waiting for my SA. She was a young, friendly lady and asked me what I was looking for before she went in to check the stocks. No chitchat small talk at all but she didn't seem cold either. I was a little worried as she didn't take any notes about my preference. Around 15mins later she came back, empty handed but with a French smile on her face, whispered to me 'I have something to show you, would you come with me, please?'. The fitting room we went (oh boy, it was busy there!). I saw 4 orange boxes on the sofa, and one of them was MASSIVE... I knew I was getting something big. She went 'I tried to find you a bag and it's not easy because stock is really low between Xmas and New Year, I hope you're going to like this'. My heart dropped because I've asked for neutral colours... as I could be quite picky with colours and neutrals IMO are safe choices.

And then she took out a B from that massive box... I almost couldn't believe my eyes because I knew how popular this combination is and supposed to be one of the most sought-after bags. She was actually nice enough to offer it to me when my DH was paying and he didn’t even have a profile in Paris, never mind a purchase history! ‘35 in black Togo with gold hardware?’ I asked just to make sure that I am getting it right and she nodded to confirm, with a big excited smile on her face. This is my ultimate holy grail bag but I wasn’t even in hope of scoring one from the boutique myself, considering how small my local boutique is. I was so delighted, held the bag for literally 2 secs and said, ‘this is my bag now’ to my DH. I told her I had a flight in pretty much 1.5hrs time but this was all worth missing the flight for. The nice SA then quickly showed some other items that she thought I might be interested in but wasn’t pushing me into buying any of them. I bought a fourbi separate bag lining with the B and then went to the cash till. Just while we were waiting for the cashier, the SA checked the traffic for me and reassured me that I’d make it, how lovely! The uber came at perfect timing and we indeed made the flight.

I’m sure you’ll know how a B35 looks in black Togo with GHW but there’s a pic of my very own brand new b:

I am waiting for your story
And good luck

Much appreciate the tips and experiences on this thread for scoring a K or B - it has helped me immensely.

What are the chances of scoring a Lindy or Halzan @ FSH? I am going back in May and wanted to weigh my chances.

An appointment would still be necessary of course since it is the leather dept.

TIA.

If the store has the color and size you are looking for, they are likely to sell it to you. Good luck!

What I was really interested in knowing - are my chances a bit better to score other bags (ie Lindy, Halzan) at FSH vs. B/K.

May has a ton of French holidays but it was the only time my friends could schedule. Not to mention Cannes Festival and the Grand Prix.

Thanks.

Hi there, yes, it is a easier to score a halzan or lindy generally speaking. These bags are more readily available and typically don't have to be assigned to a particular SA who is the only one able to sell it. B's and K's are typically assigned to specific SA's for sale or granted at the discretion of the SM.
