Hey ladies so had my appointment at 10:30 today and was greeted by a lovely sa who went to look for about 15 minutes after asking preferences. She then returned with a small box saying there had been no deliveries for b or k and offered a etoupe Evelyn bag instead. I later saw two ladies being offered the exact colour bags I had ask for.. in the birkin. I just don't understand there process and it's rather disheartening. The sa basically lied to my face. I went on to purchase a kelly wallet and agenda. I feel like I should have went back to the sa and questioned her.

So sorry to hear that, I completely understand you! It is certainly disheartening to be rejected. I and my bf both went on separate appointments at the same time and while my bf was told 'sorry no birkin available', I was offered one. It might be that the other SAs have already reserved/secured the birkins you wanted for their customers before your SA managed to get one. It might also be due to different purchase histories at the store. Did you have previous purchase history at FSH? And also just out of curiosity, what colour birkin were you looking for? I know some popular colour ones might be offered to locals / frequent customers instead of tourists...

Either way, I hope this doesn't discourage you from trying again. I'm sure you will manage to secure your favourite birkin soon!

Thank you for you for your kind words and congrats on your score! Such a beautiful colour. I requested neutral colours like black and etoupe and release these are very difficult colours to come by so didn't expect to score although hopeful. Ideally I just wanted a dark nice colour and would have accepted other shades out of the neutral colour pallets but when. she asked me what I was after it went very quickly with no chit chat at all. Nevertheless I was only upset after I saw a lady being offered a b 30 in black 5 minutes later when I was purchasing my agenda. Unfortunately the appointment was in my friends name who has no purchase history, I have a purchase history but only very small.

I guess it depends on your comfort level. I watched a video from Erica’s Girly World. She mentioned that happened to someone and called out the SA. At the end she got the bag.

Sorry about your experience. It is disheartening. If you are still in Paris keep trying, and trying the other boutiques as well. There is certainly mystery about the process but I do know that when I got offered a bag, the SA told me she had to more or less beg the SM to allow her to sell me the bag. So it is not always the option of the SA to sell what is available. She may have tried in the 15 minutes but was unable to get permission. I will never forget the excited look on the SA's face when she ushered me into a private room, took the bag out of the box and said "you have no idea how hard it was to get permission to sell you this!" I have had great experiences and I've had unsuccessful experiences too Just hang in there, keep trying and enjoy Paris.

Thanks so much for helping affirm that my decision to take this colour was right (not that I would have said no haha but I have been wondering how to wear this colour best)! :hbeat::love:

Sorry to hear about your disappointment. I never understand the reason for preference over other customers just because they have a purchase history at FSH. One has to start somewhere someday and having a purchase history doesn't mean that a repeat customer would not be a reseller. In fact, it is a known fact that many repeat customers at FSH are resellers. For those that visits Paris or FSH for the first time is being turned down is unfair in my opinion.

It’s experiences like yours that make me think that, maybe., even in Paris.. just like in our home stores, SA’s ability to offer you a bag has something to do with SA seniority, or that they take turns on the available stock.. especially on “classic” or neutrals.. as they are more commonly sought after.. i can only imagine how many people ask for black Bs or Ks in a day.. what’s an SA to do... i hope you get your bag eventually..

I believe you will get a bag next time, when you don’t expect it. If you had been offered something from an SA with a bad feeling, you might have felt forced to take the bag, even if not your specs, and the bad memory would taint the bag. Just wait and one will come at the right time! I’m very sorry you had this bad experience.
