I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Thank you so much! I have finally returned home and unboxed the purchases now  Sorry for the delay in writing up my story, this thread has been a god-sent!

So a bit of background before the actual story: we were in Paris earlier this year in late June-beginning of July, old system, queued up from crazy hours, battling resellers to get a No from FSH. I did manage to get some stuff from my wishlist from the Sèvres store (a Verrou bag and a CDC) and made friends with a lovely SA at Sèvres. He gave me his contact and told me to email him in advance next time I’m in Paris which I did.

So for this trip, the bf and I arrived in Paris on Christmas Eve which is a Sunday and FSH is still open. We tried to get appointments with both our passports from the day before, got 2 rejections. But it turns out that we only arrived in Paris and finished dropping off luggage at 3pm so definitely wouldn’t have had time for any appointment anyway. Our theory was that it is good to be rejected on our first try and perhaps they would priortise us the next day we tried. Just a theory but seemed to work as we both got appointments for 10:30 am sharp when FSH reopens on 26 Dec.

Meanwhile on Sunday after dropping off our luggage we stopped by Sèvres store just to say Hi to the SA last time, wished him Merry Christmas and enjoyed their lovely decor. He told us to come back and find him if we have no luck at FSH.

So about the actual appointments on 26 Dec: we arrived at 10:25, long queue in front of the store as expected. We just casually joined the queue, waited for 5 mins then entered the store. I’m very calm and relaxed this time, knowing that I still have a few more days in Paris to try if we got rejected. Since both the bf and I got different appointments at 10:30, we split up and got paired with different SA.

My bf’s SA left for around 15-20 mins after he showed her my list, came back with a Herbag and a backpack and said there’s no B/K available today. He politely declined the bags and went to join me. My SA is a beautiful lady who was very straightforward and efficient, she took me to a quiet corner and immediately asked me how she could help (no icebreaking chitchat). I told her B25 or B30 in neutral colours, I prefer phw and togo leather. She went away for around 35 mins. I thought I achieved zen state while waiting for her, my mind was very comfortable and relaxed LOL. I looked around and see a few ppl got offered Herbag, Bolide etc. No B/K as far as I can tell. I was expecting my SA to come back and tell me the same but she returned and told me to follow her where she can show me the bag. Before opening the box, she said she tried really hard to find me a colour I liked as no classic colours were available but she thought this colour would be easy to wear as well. When I saw the beautiful colour I did a little scream in my mind! I told her YES after 3 secs. It’s a B30 in Cuivre with phw, Taurillion Novillo leather (she told me this is a new leather which is less pebbled than Togo but not as delicate and smooth as swift, best of both worlds apparently). She also helped me pick out some twillies to go with the bag. Needless to say I’m one happy clam with a beautiful bag on our first time at FSH this trip.

Congrats! Cuivre is one of my favorite colors. Enjoy it in good health l.

Beautiful outfit and beautiful bag! I love how the color looks in the new leather. Would love to see some close up pics.
Thank you! And here you go, the colour pretty much changes with different lighting though, it’s quite hard to capture! My bf thinks it looks brown while I think it looks orange :p

One interesting observation to add is that at first I thought my bf got a No because he had no purchase history and I got offered a B because I previously bought at Sèvres. However when we were about to pay, my SA was surprised to learn that I bought my Verrou bag in Paris as she did look me up in the system and couldn’t find anything. So they do look up your history before deciding whether to offer you anything. In my case, somehow I was lucky enough to be offered even though the SA was under the impression that it’s my first time with Hermes in France.

Also, bonus try-on photos in store with the bag:
You look beautiful! Congratulations

Sharing my trip story to Paris.. it’s my first visit to Paris. The information in this thread had been most helpful for me in understanding the system and what to expect. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

My friends, my hubby and I landed in Charles de Gaulle on 18 Dec and I registered on the website for an appointment for the 19th Dec. It was the only attempt and only available chance that I could have to go to the Foubourg store as our itinerary for the trip was packed with other activities. Also didn’t want to disrupt and centre the other days’ activities around Hermes appointment. I only registered for myself and I was not successful in obtaining an appointment. :( at that point I wished that I had asked my hubby and friends to register..

Nonetheless on the 19th Dec, we headed to the Foubourg store as my SM in my home store had very kindly arranged with Hermes Paris for a tour of their private collection in their museum upon knowing that I will be heading to Paris in Dec. very thankful for the opportunity and the time and effort that everyone involved in helping us arrange for the tour. After exchanging security passes, we entered the historical world of Hermes private collection of creations, and the curator explained in depth the history of the brand and the stories and significance of items that were made in that era. Really appreciate the time that curator spent with us to open up the place and to personally bring us around. Truly eye opening and awe inspiring visit that helped me understand and appreciate the brand even more.

After the tour, the curator guide brought us the petit h workshop and arranged for a leather SA to attend to us at the leather Dept! I almost danced in joy when I heard of the arrangement! My friends and I had a great time making ornaments and having tea at their petit h Café before making our way to the hostess at the leather dept.

I was assigned a lovely lady SA, greeted her with a few French phrases and she seemed really thrilled and we hit off right away! We chatted a little and she asked about what she could get for me and I shared with her my thoughts on the colors and leathers and sought her opinion. She took notes carefully and clarified to be sure that she got the information right and checked my purchase history in their system. I had zero purchasing history because I had only touched down yesterday.

She left to search and I observed a few rejections, no B/K/Cs. I didn’t let that faze me because I came with the mindset that I didn’t even secure an appointment via the system, being able to meet with an SA who gave such great service was already a blessing. Moreover it was a trip with friends and I want to fully enjoy the experience and I am ok if I didn’t managed to get a B/K bag. Plus I’m at a point where I have a few B/Ks in my collection so I also told myself to resist the temptation (crazy!) to accept bags that may be of similar specs just different colour (so tough because Hermes makes such lovely colours in various leather!)

We waited on the 2nd floor for about 20 mins. I was getting anxious and almost wanted to call her to stop the search as we were running late for our lunch appointment at Le Meurice Alain Ducasse (10mins of brisk walking away!) just before I could decide, my SA returned and whispered excitedly to me, in my haste I didn’t really make out what she said but all I heard was that she couldn’t show it to me here and asked us to follow her. So we followed her around the store until we reached a room, a VIP room with leather swatches on the wall. She donned on her gloves and unveiled the bag slowly and carefully. It’s black, PHW Togo Kelly with Alligator handle! She says this is very special, she hasn’t seen anything like this before and it is called Kelly Touch. I was so blown away at this Kelly’s elegance and beauty I was speechless! I truly didn’t see anything like this before. I donned on the gloves to try it on and my hubby and friends unanimously agreed that I should take her home. So we packed her up and brought her home. I came with the expectation of not bringing home a bag but the Kelly is too precious and special to me to let go! [emoji7]

We ended up being too late for our lunch appointment and had to settle for something else but for me, I was still over the moon!

We then visited Serves and picked up two petit h charms and marveled at the transformation of the store from a swimming pool. The petit h SA was really friendly and attentive and tried to help us with something that my hubby and I were looking for in Maison dept to no avail.

The next day, we went back to FSH as my friend would like to pick out some jewelry and I got a rodeo from this visit. The SA too was very friendly and in fact, every SA that we’ve been attended too in all three stores provided excellent customer service! They were generous with their champagne as well [emoji106] We then went to the George V store where I saw an ostrich K being offered to a male customer. I asked about bag charms and they had a selection of rodeos and bag charms. The rodeos available were too big and I took the saddle bag charm.

Paris is truly a beautiful and romantic city and I’m thankful to be able to experience the beauty of this city. I hope to go back again soon. [emoji846] H magical lucky dust to all who will be trying their luck at Hermes Paris stores!

Here are my goodies with the Kelly Touch:

Paris is truly a beautiful and romantic city and I’m thankful to be able to experience the beauty of this city. I hope to go back again soon. [emoji846] H magical lucky dust to all who will be trying their luck at Hermes Paris stores!

What an amazing trip! Congrats on all your beautiful purchases.

I only registered for myself and I was not successful in obtaining an appointment. at that point I wished that I had asked my hubby and friends to register..

Congrats dear! May I ask how much it was?

Thank you starprism and all others here. I got an offer: Etoupe Birkin 25 gold HW this morning. Birkin 25 is a small bag that I need due to the massive kids stuff that I have to carry whenever I go out. The experience was incredibly pleasant. I purchased a few other small leather goods and a bracelet to match my existing jewelry set.

Here it is:

At the end of the appointment the nice SA told me that I could place a SO. So I did.

It’s a rainy and cold day in Paris. My appointment was at 11:30am. This bag came from this morning’s shipment. I arrived around 10:30am to choose the bracelet. By 11:00am my leather SA came to greet me and that’s the start of all the leather goods conversations.

Wish everyone good luck today! [emoji173]️
Gorgeous!! So lucky to have been offered such a coveted size and color
