I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I'll be there right after fashion week so I should let her know what I want?

I agree with the other responder. If they know you they will give you an appointment but they will still tell you that they are confined by whatever is available that day. They won't hold a bag for you because it's on your wishlist or bring one in for you. But it's much better than having to wait outside.

I GOT A BAG! OMG I can't believe it.

I'll start from the beginning :) Got into Paris last night Friday evening, I wasn't initially planning to go to Hermes FSH because I had heard about the appointment system and needing to go early, but I thought what the heck, it's still open, might as well give it a try. I went in, they told me for handbags you need to come tomorrow, they don't have any more appointments left. I browsed and bought a bracelet. I had never bought anything from Hermes before until last night. Reading posts about how it helps to have a purchase history, so I though I'd buy something small I like. That got me in their system, since it was my first ever purchase at any Hermes.

Saturday morning, got in line at around 8:50am. I think I was in the first 10, but when they opened the doors, people stormed in and I didn't know where to go, I finally found the line to make an appointment, and it seemed to me that if you were waiting on the side entrance, you would of gotten in line sooner, bc it seemed the line for an appointment was close to the side entrance. There were definitely people behind me in line outside that got in front of me in the line inside!

Staff was very polite, a nice man made an appointment for me by scanning my passport after I waited for around 10-15 minutes in line. I got a text right away that my appointment time was 11:20. Pretty close to the time it was then, around 10:45, so I went to Chanel across the street for a little but then came back and looked around the store. The time changed a few times ranging from 11:20 to 11:45. I saw my SA at around 11:30. She was a very nice young girl. I showed her my wishlist which lists a few different colors of birkins and leathers and specified I wanted a 30 or 35. I waited quite a while (at least 20 minutes it seemed like). I actually wasn't feeling very hopeful at this point, just given all the cutting in line (most were not interested in following the honor system), I overheard a few people get turned down (though I don't know if they asked for a B or K or something else), and I only saw 1 or two large orange boxes being carried by SAs. When she came back down she had a large orange box and said to come with her and my heart leaped! We went upstairs to a private room, and she showed me a B35 in Clemence in Toffee. I was so excited when I saw it, even though it wasn't one of the colors I listed, she understood from my list that I was looking for something neutral. This color is perfect. I seriously still can't believe I scored on my first try ever.

All the tips from TPF seemed to work, buy something else before, and be specific. I did both and now I have a B!

The only thing - she told me it's 35, but it looks like a 30 to me. I wonder if she was wrong? Or is 35 really not that big? Well, whatever size it is, I'm happy!

Congratulations! You persisted and got rewarded! Please post some pictures. Can you describe how to get to the appointment desk?

Good job!! Congratulations! Look at your receipt. It will say the size. My SA told me that one of my bags was Clemence. It looked Togo to me. When I got it back to my room indeed it was Togo and that's what the receipt said.

I am so excited. I finally got around to book a trip to Paris. I have been there twice before but it was over 15 years since my last trip. It will be my first visit to any H store in Paris. Plan on visiting FSH and the Sevres location. No bag shopping for me but I m so looking forward to see the jewellery and watch section since I plan on asking my SA to order a watch for me. This way I hopefully get to see all what is available not only through a catalogue. I am also looking forward to seeing the small leather goods department and petit H as well as all the home goods. I think I need to make a list on what I want to view so I don't forget something. [emoji3]
