I'm so thrilled to have stumbled across this thread! Reading these comments about Cuffs makes me smile. I spent 5 years in Cleveland, getting my graduate degrees there while living in Cleveland Heights (and, it may be added, working at Nordstrom at Beachwood Place Mall!). Cuffs became a favorite place of mine and Chagrin Falls was a wonderful respite for me when I wanted to get out of the city a bit and enjoy something a little more genteel.

The staff at Cuffs was always wonderful. I used to throw wine and cheese parties at my apartment in Coventry and would get all of my wine from Cuffs, spending a lot of time talking about the different offerings there with the staff. I believe I also got my first Hermes scarf and one of my first H ties there too.

While I do not miss lake effect snow, the unicloud that hung over the city for months, or the humidity (I grew up in Colorado!), I do miss many, many things from my experience in NE Ohio, and Cuffs is definitely one of them.

CookieJar, I was wondering what you had to do/how much you had to spend at cuffs to place your order? I am really hoping to score a birkin in the next year--but am not considered a "loyal" customer at any hermes. I tried this past weekend in NYC at the madison, wallstreet, and long island locations and was unsuccessful! Any tips are appreciated!

Awww, it's so amazing to see this thread still going. I have not been over to Cuffs in sometime and as we built a pool last summer, probably will not be in the near future :( Still, it would be wrong of me not to at least go visit. Who are the SA's working there now?

I live in CA and just had a really pleasant experience with them yesterday, even though they did not have the items I was seeking. Sent an email and had a response within about 15 minutes, on what was probably a busy Saturday for them. Offered alternative items available and would send pics if I was interested. Hope to do business with them in the future.

Is it possible to get a Kelly long wallet at Cuffs? Will they do business over the phone? I'm 5 hours drive away from them so I supposed I could make a drive to pick it up if they have something in stock. I haven't had any luck getting a K wallet in a bright color and I don't want to go through evilbay. My local store rarely gets ANY wallets. :nogood:

They had orange one a while back but nothing since then...I think they get them once in a while

so if i drop 3 or 4k beforehand they may ask me if i'm interested in buying a bag? sorry i'm just a bit clueless as to how hermes works

There's a reference thread devoted to how to get your first birkin or kelly here: http://forum.purseblog.com/hermes-shopping/newbies-how-do-i-get-birkin-other-bag-505926.html

Inventory is very low for these items so when one comes into the boutique, it's usually offered to the regular customer first. However, sometimes you can get lucky and be offered one when you just walk in. H boutiques don't stock Bs and Ks. Some store only get a few each year. It all depends on timing, relationships and a bit of luck.
