no they are super light with teh regular hardware. the giant hardware i find to be quite heavy but definatly not as heavy as a chloe bag i used to own, or my marc jacobs stam!

i find the regular hardware balenciaga to be a quite a bit lighter than my miu miu bow/butterfly bag (don't know the correct name)

No. I have been a Chloe collector for years and have only gotten into B bags. They are wayyyy much lighter than Chloes. I think the GH ones feel slightly heavier than the RH bags, but they are still light. I wish I had discovered B bags earlier instead of hoofing around all those Paddys! :smile1:

Your best bet would be to go to a store that carries Bal if possible, to check out various styles and to see how they feel. The twiggy is pretty light and the city can be light with rh. The giant hw does add weight and depending on the style the can be heavy once you pack it with all of your "stuff". I have not found the styles I like (city, pt) in the rh to be as heavy as the "classic" chloe paddingtons though.

thanks ladies! please excuse my ignorance but what's GH and RH?

GH is Giant Hardware and RH is Regular Hardware. You can check out the pics here on the forum to see the difference in the hardware. Most of the bags come in both hardware, and the Giant Hardware is available in either silver or gold.

I have both but the Regular Hardware bags are definitely very very light. Even though the Giant Hardware bags are a little heavier, they are nothing like the Chloe and Marc Jacob bags in weight.

I had a silverado and sold it, couldn't use it, it was waaaay too heavy for me. Rh is regular hardware and gh is giant hardware, the gh adds more weight to the bag and how much depends on the style of the bag. Even gh bags are lighter than the silverado though.

I recently tried to put my variety in my collection by including other brands, but I didn't realize how light bals were. They've spoiled me for other brands.

i'm new to bbags but have heard that they are known for their colors, leather, and being super lightweight ...how much heavier would it be if the bag has GH vs RH ...i'm debating between the GH work vs RH work
thanks

Depends which style you have in mind. I have a giant hobo and it is pretty light:tup: But I've had a giant city and it was really heavy compared to the rh. In the end I swopped it for a black city rh because of the weight:tdown: But that is just my opinion. I have a friend and she doesn't think that there is much difference.
